A crime against food. Literally nothing but pig intestines and anything left over from fresh kills. Not like hotdogs that are wrapped in casings, no. These are straight up organs you eat boiled or grilled or fried, but no way they're made will ever make them appetizing to me.

This is called Heat, obviously. It's based on a real experience I had earlier this year on a camp. A little kid found a bird unconscious from heatstroke right next to the bathroom, and we tried to revive him. Unfortunately, he died.

Heat...

It choked him in a burning wave

He could hardly breathe, hardly see

Eyes glazed by the heat

His throat longed for a cool drink

His feathers drenched in sweat

From the heat

And he flew on and looked for shade

There was a place quite near him

With brick walls, and cool air inside

It could save him from the heat

But it didn't...

The heat grew too much for him

He fell through the sky to the ground

The building was right next to him...

He felt nothing, not even the hands

The hands as they tried to revive

They were too late:

The heat had claimed his life...
