When I was getting back into making male characters, I picked up the habit of adding feminine traits to them. But like, they were ending up being feminine dudes to their own degrees.

Speaking as someone who was a teenager not all that long ago and as someone who now works with teenagers on a daily basis - the typical teenager is pretty dumb and doesn't plan for the future, much less what they're gonna wear tomorrow. They eat whatever is convenient and requires a minimal amount of effort, and will wait until 5pm to start their day. They are always plugged in but never accessible when you need them.

Some of that is a slight exaggeration, but only slightly. c: On the very rare occasions that I do write teenage characters, I'm more likely to lean into the comedic side and design them as an awkward, hormonal, disorganized mess of a proto-adult that lives in the moment, rather than whatever silliness that's otherwise portrayed in mass media.

I feel like my boys tend to be whiny and immature. I do really bad empathetic characters and they tend to be practical. I don't have as many artistic characters because I haven't really had the chance with all the medieval/fantasy roleplays, so whenever I get the chance I tend to throw them out there.

Could I possibly post the personality of a recent character I'm making? It's technically still a W.I.P. Part of me wants opinions, and well... the other part is feeling self-conscious about showing it, but that's not anything new. With this one, I've been trying to make a different personality than I would usually do. ^^"

Go ahead. (You may want to do it in character share club. I'm not sure)

Ah, I think that'd make sense. I'll post it there.

I like to make totally unsympathetic characters so that if anyone tries to pull the old "I just met you, time for sob stories!" on me, I can just have my character be like, "Suck it up! Kill all of your emotions with FORKS AND KNIVES!"

Also, I haven't met very many teenagers like that, but then again, my town is really focused on youth engagement.
