I feel as if I had a Dodgy Dillan at one point, as well. Oof. The new Roleplayer stage is a rough one. :')

I'm currently roleplaying with two newbies and they have
-inconsistent personalities
-can't fight, but can dodge
-only the flashbacks and depression part of PTSD
-run on sentences
-constantly whining or running away, probably hoping someone will follow
-shoving themselves in stupid situations to look cool, but they actually look dumb,,
-slight god modding and power playing
_________
hh i forgot what it was like to not know how to RP correctly :')

While this made me mentally wince, we all have to start somewhere at the same time. >_<

I'm trying to be patient with them and just walk them through things
one day they'll look back and sharply inhale like i do with all of my old roleplays-

I hate telling people no, but I have no inspiration when it comes to roleplaying with newbies. Luckily they can only normally write a paragraph, so I don't have to feel like I need to do more

I hate when people start whining about you not wanting to roleplay anymore. Not only that but I have had people purposefully not read my rules about literacy or ignore my literacy rules.

I have only ever been in two survival rps where a character (just one) dies. In one it was planned before the rp even started, in the other it was only so the player could make their main (the dead side's sister) upset. I get that people don't want to kill off their Ocs, but really. If you have a one day old pup and the mother isn't at its side at all times and the conditions are good, it'll die. I only haven't killed a character off because all the rps where I've planned my characters death usually die before the character can.

Eheh
In an RP I'm currently in, we murdered two of my characters, one of whom was an innocent pure little thing and was bound to die, the other for chaos and to spark rebellion, and another will be murdered in the near future just for the sake of drama in the thread aha
Writing deaths is depressing but also a fun test of writing skills.
Although, the lack of death in survival RPs is strangely minimal. Really, in the dead of winter, with zero prey, someone is going to die. I find it especially irritating when a character gets frostbite or hypothermia or something then magically recovers the next hour.

When I first came on to this site, I had no idea what RPing was. As in, at all, never heard of it type thing. Someone asked me to RP on one of my first days, and I decided I had nothing to lose. The person I was rping with failed to explain anything in a comprehensible manner to me, (and it's also on me for not understanding), and I ended up writing the other person's character for them. It wasn't even godmodding, it was full on writing a response with the other person's OC. She said nothing to me aha but I figured it out pretty soon.

I was planning a foal's death for a rp I was in (this rp died before I carried out plans) but apparently loss of a child was too sensitive of a topic for me to kill it in detail. I get that, so of course I changed the plans, but that's partly why I've never written a good death scene is because I've ither never had the chance or had to fade it out completely as a "oh, look who disappeared, oh well"
