i personally love intelligent characters because they are very interesting in the idea that they usually come with a lot of impairments, but those characters who are flat out intelligent without any balance are so boring imo

also puddin' i'm just starting to notice how much you love rhinos

And yeah, I like intelligent OCs as well. Or rather intelligent people in general. Showings of intelligence can be very interesting to watch, but it's important that there's something else if it's a character. Even detectives have their downsides, same goes for scientists and other roles of smarts. Maybe they're O.C.D, introverted and prefer to work alone, ignorant/arrogant when it comes to social interaction, or prideful or standoffish.

Intelligent characters are fun to make, but the personality along with the IQ is a hit or miss, really :') I'm guilty of making an intelligent character and then completely smacking into a character block half way through the personality, and then proceeding to create a very, very boring OC. I've made a few interesting ones, but others have been... meh aha

i love making intelligent characters that seem "off" somehow. i'm very guilty of making intelligent characters who are mentally disrupted one way or another. i also love making dumb characters who present themselves as smart but at best they're average. right now i'm writing a steampunk character who makes a lot of contraptions and is good with numbers but in reality he's just a bit under average intelligence and it all translates into the math section

Oh, the not-so-bright OCs are the most fun to make ^^'

Even the ones that totally accept they're a bit below average are fun, especially if they just have a goofball personality to lighten the mood of everything.

For names I either look through my notes for ideas or something just speaks to me

I enjoy the characters that are quiet and chill, but once you get to know them, they're either an asshole or they're actually just quiet and chill, but expected something else.

I like most of my characters to be kind of shy and some people think they might be a weepy willy, but justlearn how this works. You think a weepy willy could do that?
