Addilyn smiled, happy to be so close to Jason again. The twins both released a loud "ewww" and ran off. Addilyn snickered softly as she pulled away. The boys' disgusted reaction reminding her of when she was little. Addilyn gently squeezed Jason's hand with a smile. God she loved him. He was just amazing and wonderful and- "Addilyn, Jason, sorry to interrupt your uh, moment. But Addilyn I really,
really need to talk to you. Preferably in private." He looked pointedly at Jason, although he liked Jason, Andrés had an idea that Addilyn really wouldn't have the best reaction to what he was going to tell her.
And Jason didn't need to be there to see her most likely beat him up.
"Oh, uh, okay. I'll be back in a second Jason." She looked mildly concerned and confused but if anything Andrés looked pretty terrified.
As Addilyn left, the twins skipped over to Jason. The little boys pushing and shoving as they went. "He's gonna tell her the secret. The big secret." Angel smiled up at Jason's tall form. "Yea she's gonna murder him. With the needles." Seth spoke to finish Angel's sentence. Their voice were different too, Seth have a slightly squeakier one than Angel. "Noo, she could kill him other ways too. Ily could just beat him up. Or summon that cool bow that she has from that one picture!" The boys actually seemed generally interested in the ways the infamous Addilyn would beat up their cousin. After all, she'd been searching for her little brother for years and he had been here all along. And Andrés had known.
Addilyn warily followed Andrés, earlier, she had felt his unease and it was only growing as he led her away from the campfire. Was he going to challenge her? That was a stupid move, she'd always been more powerful than he was. Perhaps he was going to try and convince her to leave, to get the regs out of the magical world asap. That wasn't gonna happen either. Addilyn listed off all the ideas in her head and none made sense. What in the world did he need? Why was he bringing her so far away from the others. "I think this is far enough Andrés, what do you need?" He shuffled his feet, looking down as he did so. "Addilyn, I haven't been completely honest with you. For a very long time now, you've asked me if I had any information on your brother and I-I've said no. Multiple times. I'm sorry but I lied. I've known exactly where he was for awhile now. Jolon has him." He paused, watching as Addilyn took this in, the shock evident on her face. "I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to get wrapped up in this world again. But I can't hide it forever Addilyn. I'm so so sorry, please forgive me. It was an immature mistake."
Addilyn stood there for a second, staring at Andrés. A tear slipped down her cheek, then two. Andrés took a step forwards and immediately Addilyn shrunk back. Her eyes turning sharp and deadly. "Don't you fucking touch me, I swear to god Andrés I'll kill you. You liar, you filthy, disgusting liar. I trusted you! I trusted you more than anyone else for a very long time. And you lied to me. You asshole, get away from me!" By the time Addilyn was done, her voice had raised to a near shout. Tears slipping down her face in rapid succession. "I'm sorry Addilyn please, listen I didn't mean to-" He stepped forward with a hand reaching out. Addilyn threw up a hand and power pulsed at her finger tips. "I swear to god I'll kill you. Don't take another step." Andrés shrank back, his eyes wide.
Throwing up a hand but not using power in the witch world was a sign of distrust and no respect. Which was a big thing in the magic world. Addilyn knew this, she had done it countless times. But, against family, never. Not once. Andrés retreated his eyes dimming as he recognized one stronger than him.
Addilyn was barely holding in her powers. The deep rumble inside of her crying out to be released. But she couldn't hurt someone she loved. Never again. Her hand dropped to her side and she took two backward steps before turning, her footsteps quiet and delicate.
