Asteria stumbled, not managing to catch herself as the other dog pushed her away. She had struggled up onto her paws as her human came rushing out. As he checked her for injuries, she kept staring off in wolf-dog's direction; a whine wanting to force itself up her throat, but she choked it down. He'd gotten her in a few good places, but she had gotten his ear and shoulder. Panting, she looked up at Jason, and slowly followed him, blood dripping from her neck.
She turned her head slightly over her shoulder, ears flicking back and teeth being bared for a second. While she had been clearly outmatched in strength there, and the other dog probably would have killed her if not for Jason coming out when he did; she wasn't beaten yet. Lost the battle, this time. Maybe if he came around next time, he wouldn't be so lucky. But there was still a little part of her, that was a bit afraid, cautious of that dog.
