shelter, the closest thing being the underside of a car. Jet's sounded overhead, almost as loud as the screaming ringing through the air. The canine whimpered pressing into his owner's side as another explosion flung debris, making it seem as if the hunks of metal were lighter than feathers. Another bang and sparks flew through the air, the sky seemingly to be raining fire. Screams and mournful sent shivers through Skylar's fur, jolting his bones and lodging in his brain. He clenched his eyes shut as crowds stampeded by, falling to the ground groaning and making a gagging sound as they clutched their throats. Skylar jumped as he heard a throaty " Help!" as a person collapsed by the car, their arms reaching out to the male, before collapsing limply. The male buried his muzzle into his owners hair, whimpering and wishing this was all a dream.
The male awoke to the sound of silence. He looked to the cold, lifeless body beside him that was formerly his owner. Skylar yelped as he buried his muzzle into the bodies chest, drinking in what was left of his owner's scent. The light of life had left the bodies eyes, and Skylar knew he was dead. He would never see his owner again. He crept out from under the car, looking back to his former owner. He would always remember this spot. As Skylar swung his head around, he whimpered at ecerything he saw. The streets everywhere were littered with people and debris, wreckage everywhere. A low fog strewn out of what was left of the former testing facility, a fog that left the humans choking and grasping their throats, a fog that eventually left them dead. This was what had killed his owner, along with all the other people.
