'a mender,'' Her ears perked lightly towards him as they rotaded to his direction. Her gaze curious as she lightly nodded. ''your mother sounds lovely,'' She offered a soft smile, "she was. the sweetest there was. many of the males in the pack saught for her but she wanted none to do with them. her life was dedicated to the pups and the welbeing of the others. she felt like i she were to have pups then she would be left without the ability to help for a while. she felt she needed to stay focused and level headed." She thought on it for a moment. it was strange she was even born. she hadnt chosen a mate ever. rather Gelida was never really meant to happen. ''my mother was an empress. a monarch of the khuvell empire, one of the most outstanding huntresses to live in the gilrior woodland,''Her gaze lihtened as she listened in curiosity. he seemed to come from a very important bloodline. ''how about your father? what was he like,'' she paused a moment and shook her head, "I never met him. my mother never spoke of him. she said the pack was my family. that I was lucky i had such a big family. that was her way of averting my attention from the fact that i didnt have one like the other pups. but ive heard through the elders of the pack that we accepted the wrong travelor into our pack for a few days for him to rest. and he forced himself upon her." she flicked an ear in thought, "Unfortunately some take advantage of kindness." |

he nodded at her musters and at the unambiguous description of her father and how rotten he was. ''they do take benefit of anything given,'' he emitted a weary breath, gaze faltering at the radiant forestline in front of them. ''not having a mother or a father in your growth can impact your own brood in the future,'' he stated, fluttering an audit at the crackling ground underneath him. it wouldn't be an excellent area to hunt when every stride of his was brittle and audible miles away. ''i don't think i'll be a flawless father for my own litter, given the point of how i was raised and how less of a father figure he was to me, just another commander and a sir,'' merikh resumed, multitasking midst the woodland they were in. one ear to listen to any of the fauna, and one ear to listen to gelinda. ''i'll lack the skillfulness a regular father would have,'' it was devasting for merikh when the culmination hit him like a boulder tumbling down an abrupt hill. it was the first moment of despair he felt when his father didn't bear him as his son and did not deem to give any consideration and devotion to his blossoming litter. it was all drudgery, continuous instruction, and continuous shouts. how he'd love to emphasize in his words how merikh was a total dissatisfaction in the bloodline, the firstborn in the litter that was not prosperous to become what his father wanted him to be. ''but time will tell. if i'll be a worthy sire and not the cloud of descent my own father was,'' he smiled, tiptoeing further into the brushwood that would lead them to a more overt area of the viscous grove. |

She thought on the matter as they walked, thinking of how it could have happened. how come no one could have heard her? Where would it have happened? and her mother wasnt small like Gelida. It boggled her how her mother as stable as she was could still have something like that happen to her. It scared her really. Gelida was small. She hadnt realized that anyone and anything could be dangerous to her. ''they do take benefit of anything given,'' she nodded in a somber agreance. ''not having a mother or a father in your growth can impact your own brood in the future,''''i don't think i'll be a flawless father for my own litter, given the point of how i was raised and how less of a father figure he was to me, just another commander and a sir,'' Her head tilted lightly as she listened to his words, her gaze softening lightly ''i'll lack the skillfulness a regular father would have,'''but time will tell. if i'll be a worthy sire and not the cloud of descent my own father was,'' she offered a gentle smile and turned to look fowards as they trveled through the brush, "I dont think youd be all that bad. y'know. when were given a bad example of a parent, use it as a bad example. to an extent you can use it as what not to do and remind yourself to drop habits that youve picked up. I think because your aware that what you grew up with wasnt beneficial for you as a pup, then you have the ability to break the cycle and ddo it better. no parent can be perfect, but trying is never a bad thing." she thought a moment before speaking again, "My father of course doesnt count, I never knew who he was. My mother was a great wolf, but she was caught up in the rest of the pack. I didnt bond with her till I became aged enough to earn a roll in the pack. She became a friend more than a mother, but one you feel guilty for, because your existance is a burden and she was the one who made you. but from all this I know to make my pups my priority always, and to make sure I get to choose a worthy father that will stick around. At least from what I know was wrong I can pick out what would be right." |

Merikh crooned chestily, slanting his cranium to the side, whilst listening to Gelinda's responses that sounded sapient and unpretentious. even if it should've bolstered him, he bode in indecision. the certitude ebbing away in slivers. ''that is indeed true, your heart will tell, whether he's equipped to be your sire or not,'' he articulated, voice resonating into an outstretching rumble once the woodland became laboriously silent. with a cant of his snout, draw skywards, he savored the air. inhaled all of the potential redolences traipsing the grounds whilst his threadlike tassel lashed behind his backside. the fragrances were nuanced, though wilting. ''we should move a little bit more to the south, to find any fresh odors lingering about,'' Merikh suggested, recoiling back and swooping onward into the brushwood that seemed already squashed and overgrown on the other sides. ''if you discern a hare odor, tell me, instantly,'' he alerted, audits fluttering aloft on his skull the moment his strides hustled up. |

The fae lifted her gaze to stare out among the forest trees, adjusting her attitude lightly so that she wouldnt dwell on the topic much longer. ''that is indeed true, your heart will tell, whether he's equipped to be your sire or not,'' She gave a short nod and offered a light smile as they trod onwards. As they walked, the setting became eerily silent almost, like the forest around them felt desolate of most life, although the scents were all blended and stale. ''we should move a little bit more to the south, to find any fresh odors lingering about,'' she nodded at his words as she kept her ears perked in alertness''if you discern a hare odor, tell me, instantly,'' The fae's dark grey coat blended with the pale bark of pines and shadows, her auburn tail tip swishing side to side as she walked among the ground, "will do" she said in a low like tone, keeping her senses sharp and aware of her surroundings. |

with metrical treads, Merikh's physique rippled in leisureliness and vigilance as he bode conservative of his wound, but progressed faster than last seen. and though, they traveled in each other's wonderful company, in restful stillness, and exchanged a few words once in a while, Merikh all of a sudden, ceased his strides, his enormous mitts burrowing into the doughy dirt embedding the earth under him. the fragrance of an outsider lupine, his own species, stung his nares and compelled him to flare vigorously. ''i'm afraid, we've entered someone's settlement, Gelinda,'' his tassel thrashed around his posterior as his physique withdrew a stride back, cranium flailing around. the odor wasn't plunging his nose, though it wasn't geriatric or shrunk. it was fresh and potent enough to make him determine the species and the gender of this perplexing canine. which seemed to be a brute. ''i don't recall a canine reigning this land as his settlement, that's unusual-'' he peered to his side, irises shimmering like a pair of fireflies in a murky nightfall. if it wasn't an assertive canine, there shouldn't be a concern and they would transmit this as a straightforward misfortune, on both ends. but that was a raw desire, Merikh wanted it to be. he definitely couldn't descend into a scrabble, renew his wound, and forfeit a life. nor did he ascend his longings. it was all swarming at him like a hive of bumblebees, pointing their stingers at his face. ''we shouldn't stall here,'' he suggested, voice slumping into a murmur as he craned his callous gaze at Gelinda. maybe we should add some drama? feel like it would stir a bit of fun:) |

The she wolf strode alongside him for some time now, yet somehow his presence felt normal to her. she hadnt had company in so very long yet she had grown to feel as if his presence was never something new. like something that was juust there without her knowing. It was strange really. she expected to feel a little less trusting. she didnt understand why she was comfortable around him. ''i'm afraid, we've entered someone's settlement, Gelinda,'' his voice and a pungent scent struck her from her thoughts as her ears perked and her nose twitched, her hackles rising invoulentarily in alert like fear and caution. ''we shouldn't stall here,'' Her audits flicked back as she peered around and turned to go back but in mid-step, a scent caught her nose. one she had been waiting for all this time and she froze, "rabbit." she stated as her nostrils twitched towards the direction they should dare not go. (ill gladly make it a little more interesting.) |

his behold acclimated to the direction gelinda had reckoned the odor from. and it was exactly where he did not stake to intrude, for welfare reasons solely. and although his stomach grumbled like a thunderstorm in a bleary sundown, his pant seized the stillness in the atmosphere. indicating his deliberation and probing over this treacherous situation. but he was brisk to respond. ''fine,'' he voiced soundlessly, though enough to hear. reaping up the fragrance gelinda had smelt, merikh in a ripple tiptoed forward, physique tautening and drawing in utter uneasiness that skyrocketed through his flesh in tides. it was troubling merikh that if he couldn't oppose this cynical opponent then gelinda had to encounter all of the stakes by her own self. which to merikh, wasn't so pleasurable. and reflecting on her proportions, all the damsel could do was outrun and elude its grasp. resisting a brute was outnumbering in power. and her rending her flesh and gouging a wound was driving merikh with remorse. but so far, nothing had seemed indifferent. the rabbit odor increased in pungency and by the time they were close, his hooded behold discerned a carcass of a threadbare mammal. realizing that the critter was ragged and slivered in the overt area, made merikh stumble to his side, his irises bounding from corner to corner of the ostensibly opaque woodland. and the sound of a ghosting voice spurting in the dreadful stillness did not seem the least bit welcoming. ''outsiders,'' the drawl chimed displeasing and the viscosity of its voice made merikh's resilience evaporate. |

The she wolf of dark blue metallic grey stood, her rusty tail tip twitching as her ears flicked back. She wasnt sure what to do. would it be their last chance at a meal? surely they could slip in and grab a bite, just one. if they were close to the boarder and the scent was strong enough, it couldnt be more than a sprint away. if they caught it and ran it would be simple. She didnt think that anyone would track them down for a mere rabbit. especially if they left before being seen. and perhapse theyd be a bit more understanding. ''fine,'' her gaze flickered to the male as she glanced at his wound. would it be worth risking a fight? if he felt comfortable with it then maybe itd be ok. As they traveled, she was on higher alert than usual, ears flicking to so much as a fallen leaf. The scent of rabbit grew stronger. it was mouth watering. But another scent seemed just as strong, mingled in with the scent of rabbit. It was too late by the time the found the food. it was no longer alive. her fur begun to stand on end in an uneasy feeling before a deep, threatening voice caught her attention as she swirrled around to meet the gaze of a burley brute, ''outsiders,'' his voice was not welcoming in the slightest. sounding as if it was meant to make her insides churn to will her paws to move. but she stood, frozen, swallowing on her words as her tail tucked subconsciously, "I...I'm sorry sir... I" she swallowed, "Please. we mean no harm to you or your land. with utmost respect, we merely followed the scent of food. for thats all our minds are on these times, Its becoming hard to find it. we must have forgotten to check for the scent of territory markers." she offered a light smile as she lowered her head in shame, "Im sure weve all been in this position before right? hunger tends to do that to you doesnt it? drives us all mad at times. We'd be happy to leave. I appologise for my ramblings, sir." |

merikh's gaze flashed at the virile's marring physique tiptoeing forward into the overdrawing luminosity that the sun proposed. and while gelinda had implored and haggled with the beast, merikh held his snarls and disputes with a tight lip. this was not a place for him to thrash out or seem any less dire. they did overrun his settlement and for that would come harrowing consequences given how the beast reacted. and the warlock did not react well. ''you inroaded into my motherland,'' the brute snarled with a sickly frail spoken voice, bristling its backbone hairs at the pair of outlanders standing near one another. and merikh with a stumbled snort, withdrew his presence, forcing gelinda back with his longish snout. to exhibit any sort of submissiveness to the contentious canine. which seemed inadequate and disregarded, because once merikh preserved a safe stretch between the beast and them, the lupine just inched forward with a rugged snarl itching across merikh's flesh. if merikh could defy, he would. but with a recovering wound, he was an inferior chance. and needed to be prudent to not flare into a battle. but the beast was deemed for a battle, given its stance and gestures. and the utters it mustered just meant to bristle them to oppose. ''we should run,'' merikh with an unhurried lower of his cranium, murmured chestily to the more diminutive damsel beside him. and bearing decisive eye contact with the frothing brute, merikh taunted his muscles to flee in case this unpredictable warlock would leap. because every muscle writhe of that oddity was a mere jumpscare. and merikh couldn't bear any more seconds to dwell in the same spot as the misfit. so once merikh's figure was outstretched, he bode in his spot. appearing clement and composed as usual, in the face of a cutthroat. act assertive, and demonstrate some nerve and intrepidity. merikh breathed evenly, irises swerving at the virile's jagged and marred features. |
