Jason got to the smoothie place first and found a place on one of the little green couches. He pulled out his phone and scrolled through the news page. So far, it mentioned nothing of his attack. Figured. The media always hid the unfavorable news in the case of heroes. |

Addilyn hopped into her car per normal routine. The bright red of the new Mustang burning her eyes. She hadn't wanted a nice car, but Lewis said he liked the looks he got when he hopped out of the car with Addilyn. So she'd given in and bought it after a test drive. Truthfully, she wanted something like a Jeep or some sort of truck not this eye-catching high tech lookin thing. It was the reason they had to use Lewis's car to get to the places Addilyn had to go to kick some bad guy's butt. Except that hadn't happened last time.. Unfortunately. As she pulled out of her driveway, she got a call. "Yea Sam?" Sam was basically Addilyn's manager, he got all news about 'Silent Shadow' and then told it to Addilyn. Normally Sam was an upbeat character, happy and all. He sounded rather frustrated today though. "I'm sorry Addilyn but they aren't gonna let you back on the job for another 3 weeks. They don't trust you apparently. Which is ridiculously stupid and I really can't do much about it." Addilyn frowned and grew a tiny bit reckless with her driving. "Are you kidding me? I need that money for my mom. I need that money for my freaking bills. Let me put it this way, I need my damn paycheck. I did my job as I was told. Heroes can't always win Sam." The man sighed on the other end, and Addilyn knew that he really couldn't do anything about it. "I'm sorry Sam, I'm taking this out on you. I'll figure something out, call you later?" After a simple "okay" Addilyn clicked a button on her steering wheel and ended the call. Worry in her gaze, she had to figure something out. Fast. She stopped in front of the smoothie place with a roar. Not because she wanted the showy car to, but because that was just what the car did. Made lots and lots of noise. Addilyn hopped out of her car, locking it before walking into the place and looking around for Jason. Getting quite a few stares from people who'd seen her car. |

Jason had looked up as Addilyn pulled up, his eyebrow raised. His face was slightly surprised, slightly irritated, but mostly hungry and craving a smoothie. The irritation came from the fact that the bane of his existence, aside from the people who wronged him (though they were taken care of), decided to shove its way into Jason's life. That bane being his brother. The stupid idiot had always been involved in Jason's life, until recently when Jason moved. Well, turns out he was coming for an unwanted visit. |

Addilyn ignored the stares with ease. She'd gotten used to them after driving her car around for almost a year. Her green eyes sought out Jason, scanning the room before her eyes found him. Like he had said before, her eyes tended to show what she was feeling. For instance, right now she was annoyed, frustrated, and worried. Of course, she also looked hungry. She hand eaten anything yet. Addilyn tugged at her leather jacket, pulling the sleeves down a bit as she walked over to Jason. It wasn't that she was uncomfortable, it was just what she did when she was thinking. "God I'm starving, I haven't been here before. Have any recommendations or am I just gonna have to point and choose?" Addilyn plopped down on a green couch that was directly in front of Jason. |

"I like the protein shakes and the organic wraps," Jason recommended, "But I'm a health nut, so you may not like those things. The fruit smoothies are awesome, too. Really, it's just a good place." The atmosphere was funky, and full of people of all different looks. Wide shouldered and muscular Jason fit right into the groove along with smaller, less active people. It was also secretly a villain meet-up place after dark, but hey? The food was delicious, and if Addilyn didn't know, it wouldn't hurt anyone. |

A soft surprise lit up Addilyn's eyes. She hadn't taken Jason as the particularly heathy type. Sure, he was super buff and all but still..It just hadn't been expected. "A wrap sounds good, and so does a smoothie. Mango smoothie, yes, I need that right now. Food just sounds good in general." Addilyn sighed, running a hand through her loose black hair. |

Jason nodded, standing up, "I'll go order our food. It shouldn't take too long." He got in the short line, ordering two wraps, a mango smoothie, and a protein shake. It only took a few minutes for Jason to get it all, then go back to the couch. He handed Addilyn her wrap and drink, then sat back down on his couch. "So," he said, taking a sip of his drink, waiting for her to try something, "What do you think?" |

Addilyn had a weird thing where if she really wanted to sit still for once, she had to cross her legs. Like, in kindergarten where they say criss-cross applesauce, yea that sort of cross her legs. (Or pretzel formation as I call it 😂)) So in the time it took Jason to get back, her body really needed to be moving. It was her high-strung nerves that were good when working as a hero but not out of uniform. So by the time she got her food her legs were in pretzel formation. Addilyn said a quick, "thank you." Before digging into her food. Eating a bit of the wrap first. Her green eyes wide. "Wow. it's really good! Amazing actually," Addilyn had been expecting something like what her mother tried to feed her when she went to visit. But these were actually really good. |

"Yeah. One of the staff members here can keep stuff fresh for ages, so whenever they collect their ingredients, they stay that way right until the food is in our hands." In the superpower society, people found ways to use their powers. People had to be licensed to use powers in public, but in private business and in the home, most people used them. Sure, it wasn't the most legal thing, but there was no harm, so no foul. The Police never pressed on the issue. |
