"So as you can see, or should I say smell" he laughed as the followed the scent trail all the way around the territory. "Well lets head back to camp."

"Ok" Amber flicked her tail. They started walked back to the dens. Amber then scented som thing like a rabbit or a deer maybe.... "What's that?" She asked

Sneaker sniffed the air "Aw its just a deer," he sniffed again, "its a buck, but let's go" he turned and started to pad away, but amber wasnt behind him. He turned around "What's wrong?"

"Couldn't we hunt it?" She asked excitedly

"Alpha wouldn't allow it, only hunters hunt, if we hunt then I'll get demoted to Omega and I dont want that." He turned and looked into her eyes. "Lets go" he said alittle sharper. He thought he might have just saw her look towards the smell, but he only thought. They headed back towards the camp.

Amber walked after him, her tail drooping a little behind her as they went farther and farther away from the scent....

Soon they were back to the camp. "I'm going to go sit over there." He told Amber "The pack will be back with the hunt soon." Sneaker went and trotted over to a spot where only a few rays of sunshine got through the branches of the canopy overhead. Sneaker laid down and put his head on his paws, and drifted off to sleep, leaving Amber all alone.

Amber slept under a dry leafy bush until the pack some her up with barks and yips.

Hondo came back to the pack. With him and Fighter they dragged back a deer, 2 rabbits and a vole and one big juicy bird. As he came to the pack he announced in a loud and dominant voice "This meal is for Amber, the Runner that has come to the pack, may she live well and may the Spirit Wolves watch over he and help her make her decisions and lead her along her path to greatness!" He spoke those words happier then he was. He still had not grown fond of her. But maybe seeimg her hunt tommorrow will change his mind.
