Midnight • Female bengal tiger • Dusk pride beta - Midnight stretches to her feet and scans the prides territory. Her black fur seemed to glow slightly in the bright sunlight. She notices a couple other members are awake but most of the pride still sleeps. She sees Wonder suspiciously eyeing Astro. She laughs a bit and thinks it's mostly amusing so she doesn't do anything about it. The pride will need food soon but she ponders whether to wait for the leader to organize groups or if she should. She decides to wait for their leader to wake and lays back down to keep watch over the other animals.

Carys | Dawn | Seer | Belgian Groenendael Shepard - The light wind at the entrance of the pack's Seer Den made its way thoroughly into a sleeping Carys's pelt. The young female shifted uncomfortably as the small kicks of her future pups nudged her to awaken. The scent of the pack members outside of her den was enough to make Carys's decision to awaken final- her dark caramel-colored eyes fluttering open as she lifted her head from the tucked position in which she had been resting. Shaking her head lightly, the black fur around her neck ruffled and the canine stood- a small growl sounding from her as her stomach begged her for food. Carys let out a large yawn before slowly padding her way to the exit of the den. The cool air met the female as she took in her surroundings; the morning sun was in the process of rising above the treetops around the Dawn pack camp and there looked to be a couple of packmates already up and moving. Carys let out a small sigh right as her stomach grumbled again, reminding her of why she had left her den. Her head turned to survey the pack for their new leader, Rudd... a wolf who had taken over the position of Alpha after the unfortunate passing of the Dawn pack's previous leader. Carys wasn't sure she knew what to think of the male just yet but he'd provided well for the pack so far- so she may as well give him a chance. The female could only hope he wasn't too much against the hybrids... after all, her mate had been exiled along with many others. Right. Her mate. She hadn't informed him or anyone else of her pregnancy yet- and she was hesitant. How would they all take the news? Would Ruslan still accept her as his mate? Would her pack exile her? She didn't know... and that worried her above anything else. She needed to speak with Ruslan... and soon. As Rudd was nowhere in sight- probably out hunting, Carys had guessed- Carys made her decision to approach the pack Beta Female, Jolene. A slow, lower-placed swishing of her tail and a small greeting duck of her head, and Carys spoke. "Good morning, Jolene. I was wondering if it'd be possible for me to step out and hunt." Her tone was soft as she blinked her gaze to meet the pack's second in command. Edited at February 16, 2025 09:51 PM by Journey

Jolene/Female dingo/Dawn's beta The dingo had been deep in thought when she heard Cary's voice and turned to look at the Shepherd dog. There was something off about her but her mind flickered to another canine before shaking her heard to clear her mind of golden eyes. Either way whatever Cary wasn't saying and Jolene had no intention to ask. There was the cold feeling in the air making the beta eye the pack seer before deciding to give the Shepherd dog a chance. Jolene made herself relaxed so if Cary was nervous then she would calm down a bit. "Very well but becareful and if you are not back by sunset then we will look for you. Enjoy your walk", said Jolene with a nod. She wanted to ask Cary to let her know if she ever encounters Leona on the walk but held her tounge. "I'm sorry for holding you. Enjoy your walk Cary", spoke the dingo before turning to look around.

Ghost • Male hybrid - Ghost stops eating the berries as they taste a little funny. He sighs slightly and decides to walk in a random direction. As he's going he's still quite alert but his head is to the ground sniffing for the smell of blood or a carcass. Eventually he does smell something. A rabbit. He doesn't smell any blood so it must be alive. He stops and turns to face the direction of the scent, head held high scanning the tall grass while his ears swivel, erect to hear any noise. He sees the light brown fur other rabbit nibbling on some grass. Ghost crouches low hoping he'll get lucky. He swiftly pounces right next to the rabbit. Obviously it notices him and runs off. He thinks about chasing it but it's already gone. He whines to himself a bit but does continue on his way. He only stops a bit after he realizes the scent of blood. It was faint but still slightly recent. Maybe he was lucky after all. He quickly picks up to a trot and finds the source of the scent. He finds another animal, presumably another hybrid, standing over her kill. Ghost wasn't sure what to do so he sort of just stood there awkwardly half hoping she wouldn't see him, the other half hoping she would notice him and engage first. He backed up a little into some ferns to half cover his body. The plants did rustle a bit but hopefully the other hybrid would just think it was wind. Maybe she'll leave soon and leave small remnants of rabbit here that he could take.

Leona/Female hybrid/seer Leona dropped the second rabbit that she had killed and had been about to eat when the coywolf/dingo mix caught the scent of another creature. She doubted anyone from the groups would be foolish to approach her. There was the rustle of some ferns nearby and Leona sighed. While she gave credit to the other for their attempt to hide but she guessed that they were hungry and while she could keep the rabbits however she couldn't let anyone go hungry. Taking her time to slowly stretch out as she felt amused but didn't show it before shaking her fur then with a glint in her eyes, she sat down and turned to the ferns while placing a paw on the rabbit. "I'd give you credit for your attempt to hide but you stood still too long and the sound of your hunger gives you away. Come out stranger and have this second rabbit. I have no interest in leaving anyone hungry", offered Leona sounding wary but amused. She sat there waiting. She was curious if the stranger would come out for the rabbit or keep trying to become part of the bush.

Ghost • Male hybrid - Ghost, a little ruffled but not entirely surprised, sighed and stepped cautiously out from the ferns. He wasn't quite sure how close to get. He still isn't sure if she's a threat. He stops at about a yard and a half away from her. Up close He notices they might be close to the same height but she might be a bit taller. He sits neatly with his tail resting lightly over his paws. " Uh- what a lovely day?" His voice is rough from lack of use. He tries to sound as if he hadn't just been trying to hide very poorly in a bush.

Nikolai - M - Dusk Scout - Mention(s): // (ind: Berite) ~ Nikolai liked the small hours of the day. He was in his element here - scouting, looking for traces of any of the hybrids that his pack seemed to hate, and making sure they sure as heck didn't come back to them. Like the pack's unofficial motto seemed to be, "We don't want you here". And they really didn't. However, almost like always, there was nothing. If he'd found traces of one he'd be running lickety-split back to the pack, and, well. Usually that wasn't the case. Or if he did find one, it was practically once an epoch. They'd gone quite silent as of recently. Which wasn't good. Nikolai's reliance on his senses was compounded by the fact that he had to use them as the scout. It wasn't an option, and he had to just be on the lookout. It seemed like there really wasn't anything much this time, though. Like most of the time. Which he'd still have to report back... but oh well. Edited at February 17, 2025 12:08 AM by Boeing

Leona/female hybrid/seer Slightly amused at his attempt to sound like he hadn't been trying to become one with the bushes. Leona studied him as she tried to figure him out but when the other spoke it almost made her laugh. "Of course. Lovely day for hunting", agreed Leona still with her paw on the rabbit. Eyeing the rabbit then the male hybrid had the coywolf/dingo mix made Leona push the rabbit forward and look away with a sigh. "Here you go stranger. Take the rabbit and don't worry I won't hurt you. Stay or go but the rabbit is yours", muttered Leona before standing up. She grabbed her first rabbit and walked some distance away until she was heading towards her cave.

Berite | Dusk | Leader | Sarplaninac Dog - Berite had been awake far longer than he meant to be. The Dusk Pack Leader hadn't gotten nearly enough sleep the night before...and it was all thanks to the lingering worry that the hybrids would come together again once more and take down one of his pack members. Berite had received word- not a few weeks ago that the Dawn pack's leader had been taken down by a group of these hybrids. Some of them had lived previously among the packs before the exile law had been set in place. Before this series of unfortunate events, Berite had been considering his decision to go along with the rule of exiling the hybrids- questioning if he had made the correct decision. And the news of the recent murder of a leader had found its way to take over that little piece of hope the male had and completely demolish it. The hybrids are not to be trusted and should be kept clear of interaction from his pack. That was his final thoughts on...everything. The male stood from the corner of the leader's large den, stretching his long legs and shaking out his impressive coat before making his way out of his dugout lair. The first thing he pointed out to himself was the two felines- one of which looked completely unaware of the other, who was slowly creeping behind him. Berite's eyes then moved to meet the regal form of his second-in-command, Midnight- who looked as though she was looking over the Dusk Packs camp. The large canine made his way toward the black-coated tiger, his head held high and his posture stiff as he turned to meet her at her side- his gaze falling over the camp as he did so. "Nikolai has gone out to scout the perimeter I presume?" He waited for a nod of affirmation before going quiet for a moment, his eyes narrowing slightly before speaking again. His voice a deep rumble and his tone a hushed urgency. "What are we going to do, Midnight? The hybrids- they've already taken a leader and are sure to band together again. Who will they take next? Another leader? A seer?" Berite let out a short-set, deep sigh as he shook his head. "We must be prepared." Edited at February 17, 2025 08:18 AM by Journey

∆ Ruslan ∆ Hybrid ∆ - Finishing up his meal, Ruslan sat back to clean the remains of the rabbit from his muzzle. He ran a paw over the bloodied fur, letting his guard down for a moment. Flicking his tail, he was completely absorbed in his work. As if realizing he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings, Ruslan looked up sharply, slightly embarrassed and irritated with himself that he had been so careless. Standing up, he turned around to look in every direction for a moment to ensure that he wasn't being stalked. Satisfied, he licked his paws before scraping some dirt and leaves over the meager remains of his breakfast. After that, he held his head high and strode off into the forest. Heading towards the narrow stream, he set a slow pace, simply basking in the sounds of the forest.
