-She fell into a crack into a basement and escaped. Another dog finds her and keeps her alive. Someone has to feed her, because now she's crippled in some way.

Older definitely, because when they rescued her she was 2 months old, and they would've had to be old enough to hunt for both of them. I don't mind male or female.
