According to some sources cortisol is also a catecholamines. In others, it isn't. Which source should I use? - Eh, it gets even better when you realize that Garvin is capable of using it on himself too. And that he has to trigger his ability by doing something that would kickstart a catecholamine for him, regardless of whether or not he's using on it on himself.

Nah, you're forgetting that Garvin is big on drinking and smoking- That stuff would set it off too. And do you really think people ever taught him how to use it? Man would be using it on himself most because of the adrenaline bit and the fact that it's easiest/makes it easier to get away from cops, angry employers, and people he steals from lmao
