Also, here's the song I mentioned before break that I was inspired to do because of Voicemails :D

Song; You're Gonna Go Far by Noah Kahan
(With some slight adjustments to the lyrics to better fit characters and avoid as much repeating in some spots)
Characters; Nico, Ingall, Akira, and Revan. Garvin mentioned.
Context; So, this would take place quite a while after Garvin's death when the polycule finally starts moving into the recovery stage. Everything is still pretty shit, but they're starting to rationalize and come back together with some help from the support system (aka Briar, Aries ((though he's honestly probably not doing a lot better, so Briar's probably helping him just as much, lol)) Everett, Kostas, Karma, possibly Sol, and possibly Graci). I also feel like I should mention that they're aware of Sol's power, so they probably have an (hopeful) idea that Garvin's still kinda watching from the afterlife
Anyway, enjoy!

Ingall, the first one to start to break out of his depression (mostly because he starts to process that Nico's being a selfless idiot and hurting himself more for it, but shhhh), recalling the voicemail he got and debating whether it's worth trying to move forward yet: "The only time I got to prayin' for a red light was when I saw your destination as a deadline..."
Ingall, going over Garvin's tone in the note again, and how he brushed off him disappearing as though it really wouldn't effect anyone: ""This is normal conversation, babe, it's all fine!" Makin' quiet calculations where the fault lies..."
Ingall, sighing and looking finally stepping out into the home the polycule still technically share, eyes blurring at the fact that it all still looks the same, with Nico (the only one still actually living in the home with Ingall) not bothering anything at all: "This is good land, or at least it was..."
Ingall, sucking in a breath and finally forcing himself to start walking, going to find Nico and start making amends to the relationship: "It takes a strong hand and a sound mind..."
Nico, who's been running from place to place constantly, checking up on Akira (who temporarily moved in with the family), Revan (who temporarily moved back in with his mother), Aries, and Ingall, trying to make sure everyone is still alive and provided for, pushing aside their own needs despite Briar trying to help her, pausing for a moment at Garvin's grave and taking in everything that's changed around them while he seems to be stuck in time: "The college kids are gettin' so young, ain't they? They're correctin' all the grammar on a spray paint."
Nico, smiling weakly and catching up Garvin on what's been happening in their own, sad way: "I even gave up drivin' after nightfall, I got tired of the frat boys with their brights on..."
Nico, returning home finally to find Ingall, both confused and partially glad that Ingall's finally out and about: "This is good land, or at least it was..."
Ingall, gently pulling Nico into a hug, quietly signalling that she didn't have to keep up the act anymore, holding back his own tears as Nico finally breaks down: "It takes a strong hand and a sound mind..."
*Over the next few days, Nico and Ingall start repairing their relationship and continue to visit Akira and Revan, together this time. For the first time since the funeral, Ingall joins Nico in the graveyard and talks to Garvin*
Nico, watching Garvin's grave with a mixture of hearbreak and timid relief, starting to try and see any good in anything, landing on the fact that, hopefully Garvin's happier now and won't go through any more pain, even if the others are: "It makes me smile to know when things get hard, you'll be far… Ooh, you'll be far from here…"
Ingall, watching the grave sadly as well, but squeezing Nico's hand in reassurance: "And while I clean shit up in the yard, you'll be far… Ooh, you'll be far, far from here…"
Nico, referring to death as a long trip that Garvin's gone on rather than something permanent, a trip that will eventually end and the polycule will be reunited in: "So, pack up your car, put a hand on your heart
Ingall, smiling slightly and agreeing with Nico's veiw, encouraging Garvin in a way he wished he was still able to: "Say whatever you feel, be wherever you are!"
Nico, smiling as well, nodding: "We ain't angry at you, love!"
Ingall, still sad but truely hoping Garvin can still hear them and is listening: "You're the greatest thing we've lost!"
Nico, noting that, before they can join Garvin, they have to live, which is hard and different, but there are some things that can be a grounding same: "The birds will still sing, sometimes we’ll still fight..."
Ingall, joining in: "The boards will still creak, the leaves will still die..."
Nico, looking up to the sky, again, really hoping Garvin is listening: "We ain't angry at you, love."
Ingall, mimicking Nico's movement: "We'll be waitin' for you, love.
Nico, tightening her grip on Ingall's hand as they exit the graveyard and go back toward their home, starting to believe that, in some way, Garvin is still with them right now, even if they can't see him yet: "And we'll all be here forever!"
Ingall, less convinced, but going along with it for Nico: "And we'll all be here forever..."
*Meanwhile, Akira and Revan, who probably hold the most guilt of the polycule, take longer to even talk to anyone else.*
Akira, sitting in the dark guest room of Everett, Kumi, and Leon's home that they haven't left for literal months for anything other than the bathroom, only alive because of the food Everett makes sure they eat some of every day, staring at a picture of Garvin on their phone, too tired to cry, drowning in guilt and sorrow, but also, on some aweful level, understanding perfectly why Garvin did what he did: "We're overdue for a revival! We spent so long just gettin' by... That's the thing about survival, who the hell, who the hell likes livin' just to die?!"
Revan, in a similar situation to Akira, having gone back to live with Graci, for the time being, drowning himself in work and coffee to avoid thinking about what happened, caught off guard by the image of Garvin and the rest of the polycule together in the corner of his eye, a picture Nico slid under the door last time they came to visit and Revan refused to open the door, suddenly gripped by guilt as he recalls an argument he had with Garvin: "You told me you wouldn't make a difference, well, I got drunk and agreed with you..."
Revan, fully blaming himself for Garvin's death: "It was never your fault, you never felt at home in this town..."
Akira, turning off their phone and rolling onto their side, unknowingly on the exact same wavelength and echoing Rev, basically just stating that the only reason Garvin probably acted happy and at home was to please everyone else: "But it's all you had..."
Revan, unknowingly echoing Akira and the promise that is now a lie that they polycule would always stick together, believing, again, that Garvin had only made the promise to please everyone else and had never meant or felt it: "'For always...'"
*Fast forward another couple of months and Ingall and Nico finally manage to pull Akira and Revan out of the hideouts (with help from Graci and Everett) and very slowly start to rebuild a relationship with them. Another month or so later, the two very hesitantly start to go along with Nico and Ingall's suggestion that Garvin's still around in spirit and they'd all meet again one day*
Akira, more questioning than hopeful, glancing over at Nico and Ingall who introduced the idea of death as a long trip Garvin went on: "So, pack up your car, put a hand on your heart...?"
Revan, also hesitant, but also wishing that he could say what he was now to Garvin before: "Say whatever you feel, be wherever you are..."
Akira, now sincere, starting to hope Garvin can hear them, if only to understand what they're saying as truth: "We ain't angry at you, love."
Revan, hoping for the same reason: "You're the greatest thing we've lost."
*Finally, the two start to process and move back in with Nico and Ingall, still very much grieving, as they all are, but now doing so together*
Akira, using the sentiment Nico taught them, of many things changing and life being hard but a handful of things being a grounding same: "The birds will still sing, sometimes we'll still fight..."
Revan, slowly joining and again hoping Garvin is somehow listening: "The boards will still creak, the leaves will still die, but we ain't angry at you, love!"
Akira, nodding and smiling slightly at a new tattoo of the aquila constilation on their wrist: "We'll be waitin' for you, love..."
Revan, finally settling back into the polycule's home and slowly becoming less distant: "And we'll all be here forever."
Akira, allowing themself to keep close hold of Garvin in their own tradition of commiserating their loved ones by adding something from them to themself, starting to calm a little: "And we'll all be here forever."
Ingall, believing that, wherever Garvin is, he's making a difference to those around him in a positive way, just as he did on Earth: "You're gonna go far!"
Nico, smiling and more determined to get to Garvin and prove that, even after as long as it may take, he does still care: "You're gonna go far!"
Akira, vowing to always love and value Garvin and also to, one way or another, track down as many people that hurt him as they could :) : "You're gonna go far!"
Revan, pledging to, if he did ever see Garvin again, apologize and find a way to reconnect: "You're gonna go far!"
All, with grief over Garvin leaving but hope that they would see him again eventually: “If you wanna go far, then you gotta go far…”
