1 - What is a brindle/speckled/piebald pup?
Brindle, speckle, and piebald are all markings. You can see if a wolf has the marking in the box labeled "Pelt Color"
This wolf has the brindle marking and has the speckle marking too, but since the color is "none", you don't see any speckles.
To get any marking, at least one parent must have the marking you're breeding for. Two piebald wolves will not have a brindle pup unless one of them has brindle as well. :D
2 - What is CP?
CP is Character Points. You get some each day (30 for basic accounts, 40 for premium) and you put them on your wolves to make them better hunters and explorers.
It's recommended to put your points in Battle/Resolve/Agility first, then move into things like Wisdom/Perception/Luck. There's a list in the Game Guide on what each attribute does. For more information on CP stacking, you can visit this guide
here.
3 - What is a hero wolf?
A hero wolf is a wolf with all positive vitals.
Head to your wolf's page and scroll to the bottom where it says "Vitals". A wolf who's Flood, Earthquake, Hurricane, and Blizzard ratings all have a "+" in front is considered a hero wolf.
4 - What is a "fig"?
Figs are Bronze Figurines. They're often referred to as figs in chat.
5 - What is a bone flute/bead/jug/etc used for?
There's an easy way to see what an item does. Check the second line.
Relic pieces say things like "1 of 3".
These are then combined once you have all the pieces under Relics>Craft.
Usable items will say what they grant you.
Like this health potion will heal a wolf.
And this turtle is a pup toy.
Unusable items will just have a description in the second line.
Like these items. These are just for selling to Montak.
Alliances
6 - What is an Alliance?
Alliances are a new feature where players can join together and battle other alliances for fun. If you win an alliance battle (until the opponent alliance is at 0), you gain 25 mushrooms. You can gain a maximum of 75 per day.
7 - How do I make an Alliance?
To make an alliance, you must have a premium membership.
Go to Pack>Pack Activities>Manage Alliance.
After creating your alliance, you have the option to add a picture, and turn applications on and off. You can also invite people to your alliance on this page.
8 - How do I join someone else's Alliance?
Go to Gathering>Alliances
This page shows all the current alliances. Browse through and find one you like. If it's open to applications and you meet the dominance requirements, you'll see the option to join on that page.
9 - Why are my alliances fighting each other? / How do I choose a battle?
Alliance battles are random. Every 30 mins, alliances that are not currently in a battle are randomly pitted against one another. This means that you might fight the same alliance a few times in a row.
10 - I fought and won. Why isn't our battles won count going up?
Because an alliance battle is made up of many players' moves. There is a tally on the alliance page.
An alliance battle doesn't end until one team gets to 100 and the other to 0. Then the battle ends and the battles won count will go up at the bottom of the hour.
11 - Can I leave an alliance?
Yes. The option is on the alliance page.
12 - Why should I donate to my alliance? / Does the alliance owner get all that mush?
No. Mush donated to an alliance is not given to the owner. The mush increases your alliance's strength. The alliance with the higher strength in a battle gets a 15 point boost in their fights.
13 - I have strong wolves... why didn't I win that alliance fight?
Alliance battles are figured by dominance totals. If your wolves aren't very dominant, they may not win. Raise their dominance to have better chances of winning for your alliance!
