Nizhoni is a young filly who seems to be a pretty even mix of her parents, while also having her own identity. It's evident already that, like her mother, she will be a taller mare, already being about 2/3's of her mom's height, and will top out at about 16.3 hh, maybe even making it to 17.
Compared to her mom, Niz will have a rather lean build when she's younger, being slim and athletic instead of her mother's strong and thicker build. Once she's matured into an older mare, she will have more mass to her, but she will never quite reach the same width as her mother. While it's uncertain, these could be genes from either her father's lineage coming into play, or genetics of her grandparents or something of the like. The playful filly will age gracefully into a beautiful young mare, though that awkward stage of her legs being too long is just around the corner. In terms of color, Nizhoni seems to have beaten the low odds of coming in a color that is neither bay or chestnut like her father and mother respectively. Instead, Niz manages to bat a thousand and came out as a black paint. She holds the same paint genetics her father carries, but a darker coat than her sire. The Form Name: Esme "esteemed; beloved" Age: Four years, seven months Gender: Female Herd: River Herd Rank: Herd Mare Desired Rank: Content Appearance: Esme is a mare with delicate features. She stands at just under fifteen hands. Her body is well-proportioned and balanced for a mustang. Esme has a beautiful, richly-colored grulla coat. Her body is a lovely shade of mousy gray with sandy undertones. Her mane and tail are glossy black and fine in texture as it falls in gentle waves on her neck and rear legs. Her mane's longest section comes just past her delicately arched neck and her tail just barely touches the ground. Her ears are the same shade of black as well. She has two white socks on her forelegs with black patches and freckles on them. Her rear legs have high white socks that end in an irregular pattern just above her knee. More than half of her face is white as well and she has pink shading around her nose. Her eyes are a piercing shade of blue and framed by thick lashes. Personality: Esme is generally easy-going and cheerful. She can be spunky and fiery at times when she is of the mind to be. She tends to be more reserved compared to some of the other herd mares when it comes to leadership decisions. It isn't because she doesn't have an opinion, but more because of her desire to not rock the boat or cause conflict. She struggles at times to feel like what she has to say is of any real value. She recognises that there are other, more seasoned and senior mares, who have more wisdom than she may be able to offer due to her young age. While she is young, she did already birth one foal who was born early and towards the end of winter. Sadly, the foal didn't make it and Esme still grieves the loss. Esme needs a strong and supportive friend who will acknowledge the wisdom she does have and make her feel valued. When pushed out of her comfort zone and encouraged to lead, Esme exceeds and has a diplomatic and big-picture-approach to difficult situations.
