Aside from the wings (which sets him apart from some idiot on the other side) Nicholas has the uncanny ability of illusionry. How and or why this was something he was able to achieve via the mutations is relatively unknown and honestly, freaky. Appearance:
A commanding presence does not need to be bulky in the slightest. Nicholas Accardi is well acquainted with that concept. Broad shoulders, a working-man's muscle toned with the rush of genetics brings this man a slightly imposing frame. Standing at approximately 6'4" which does not include his wings, Nicholas has an impressive height and gladly uses it to look down on others if he can. With the etching of faint wrinkles in his face, the faded scars of fights in days long since passed cut through his skin and appearance. But nothing cuts through his gray hair with silvering streaks, his imposing figure, his wings, even the way he expresses emotions quite as well as those ice blue eyes. The type of blue that will cut through you, seeing everything--the type of blue that will hurt if you look at it too long. He knows. He will use this against you. Nicholas' attire usually follows a sort of loose old-money. A button-up shirt with the color undone, a neat vest tucked into slack-like pants tailor fitted to his usual activities of the day. In times past, he would've worn a dark leather coat. But, well, it's hard to fit a leather coat on over a pair of massive wings. These grey wings are accompanied by a fan of tail feathers as well. The subtle color gradient is not mirrored in his tail, rather he has a dark fan separated by a white stripe.

Aside from his glowering expression, his dark frown, a neutral scowl and the likes. Nicholas is rarely known to smile genuinely. If he does smile, it is usually a dark and jaded smile, a dangerous expression from the man. This carries over even beyond the end, he rarely smiles if ever. He is renown for using a cane to add to his appearance. He doesn't often walk with it but he will use it against you. Contrary to popular belief, it is pure steel painted to look like wood. They say money is a man's best friend. Nicholas says that it's power. The allure of power draws men faster than the allure of money. Money is power, he commented. When money is obsolete, men will fish for whatever is next. Leadership, resources--whatever it is. They crave power. He had power, in a sense. Nicholas was largely apathetic. That was his whole gimmick. Nicholas Accardi doesn't feel emotions, he doesn't feel anything, he doesn't care about you or anyone else. Sometimes, it was questioned if he even cared about himself. But that was the outward mask that Nicholas showed. Inside of his home, the man was more open. His sense of humor, while dark, brought a sort of light to the rest of everything. His voice lifts, commands and bellows with laughter. He still carries his voice with pride--unmarred from drinking or smoking, something he prided himself on. Given the rare opportunity, he would sing. But what high-up Mafia man would sing openly? When everything fell, Nicholas was out of the buildings. He was out in the countryside to pester for money and resources. When he returned, Nicholas found himself reluctantly working with other mafia members--even those who were not of the Accardi clan. His emotions are hard to read, hard to tell and understand. But he makes his opinions well known. Given enough time to soften up to others, Nicholas finds himself in a sort of mentor-like position, helping the younger souls find a way to be something more--or be better. Other Stuff:
Nicholas Accardi was a well respected--well feared--man in the dark side of things. His reputation ran deep beneath the outward appearance. Folks often tried to avoid getting him involved on both sides, knowing that he would get the job done without much care as to how. He often butts heads with the cop side of things, especially since he feels like he knows how to handle the situation best. After all, the mafia made something out of nothing. They? They never did. |

(Pronunciation of Krakowiac: Kra-koh(v)-yahk with a rolled r) Age: 22 Gender: Female Mafia/cop: Mafia Mutation: Translucency - Nina doesn't have the ability to be a chameleon, but... it's close enough. At will, light is able to essentially pass straight through her. Only when she wants it to, though. And she has to concentrate on letting all those light beams pass right through her. That means no shadow, too - downside of that is, objects she's carrying aren't influenced by her will and are definitely visible.
I believe this is allowed right? Didn't exactly specify- Appearance: Nina is definitely on the shorter and lighter side of the chart. Somewhere around fifty kilos, and somewhere round 160cm - you get the idea. He skinny build only contributes to this factor.
When Nina isn't completely invisible, she is actually somewhat striking - grey eyes, brown hair, and while she may not have it in terms of height against everyone else, she does have it in the way she holds herself.
The way she was brought up, and the experiences she has learnt through the past few years - she wasn't exactly immune to harm, and neither was anyone else. The point is, her posture indicates that while she may be short, she isn't any less deadly - to anyone. She's usually little more than a shadow when she sneaks around. She'll look you in the eye in direct challenge, or maybe size up to someone twice her weight, because that's her nature. The world isn't built for pretty, little useless things, in her opinion, and her appearance reflects that.
Particularly so now with her "mutation" - but she has other names for it, of course. Nowadays when she uses her "mutation" - yeah. You don't see her. She's gotten pretty good at that. Personality: Nina usually stood out from her peers as just "that girl" that didn't really fit. She was... Nina. There wasn't much way to explain her pesonality if someone else asked her peers.
For a start, she wasn't very noisy. Not in the sense that she doesn't talk that much (to be fair, she doesn't), but more of the fact that she can sneak around a lot better without getting caught than others. Small size, light weight, and now translucency gift? Yeah.
It wasn't exactly a life choice, but it was something that she always did. Walk with barely a sound. Choose her steps carefully. That kind of thing. She's not always agreeable though. Possessing an independent streak, she can be verbal and will try get her opinion out there if she feels strongly about something. She's not a pet of any kind - she has an opinion, and when it matters, she's not afraid to put it out there. This doesn't make her many friends amongst her peers - but she's seen as an independent character who mainly will do what she wants. When she agrees with an order, she'll do it swiftly - when she doesn't, depending on how much higher ranked they are, she'll put up a similar amount of resistance. She'll still do it - but if she disagrees, she won't. But that doesn't mean she disagrees with a lot of things. Mainly - her job. She rarely disagrees to doing something in the name of her job. Heck, she enjoys doing what she does. Whatever she's asked to do.
So be wary of if you ever encounter something like her in a street. She's not afraid to execute her job. She has little sympathy for others. Life is hard. Get on with it, is the mentality that she holds. Life is even more hard now - so just deal with it. She might have had a couple of bad positions herself, but then she's just had to deal with it. And in her mind, so should anyone else. Naturally not very trusting, she doesn't really spare a glance for anyone out on the street other than targets, and those that she actually trusts. Which isn't that many. She's rather closed off, doesn't like making new connections (it doesn't fit with her work ethic, after all) and unsocialable. She just keeps herself to herself at this point. Other Stuff: Oh wow, other stuff.
In tems of the mafia, her strengths were seen from early on from the day she snuck into the kitchen and took an entire bag of cookies without anyone noticing. From early in her childhood, some people have raised her to be silent - wraith-like, almost. And dedicated to her job. Personally I don't know if she's solid enough to be a true character, but right now I can't think of anything else to add. We'll leave it at this for now and maybe come back to it later... maybe. I've only used Nina once really- |

Sun-kissed skin is unblemished by moles and freckles, but in stark contrast to her feminine appearance, a harsh scar cuts down across her body. Begining at her left cheek, it extends down to split over the corner of her bottom lip - giving it an indented appearance, the thick fibrous ropes of scar tissue thickens greatly from here, reaching down her neck. It slices over her throat to the right and dissappears down past her clothes. A small tail of the scar can be seen on her right ankle. Her body type is very much rectangular, not particularly well endowned in the chest, although Valencia views this as a benefit as she can strap her uniform and protection on more secrurely without having to battle any obstacles. Her hips are slightly curved, giving her some shape to the lower section of her body, melting well into her muscular toned legs. Encircling her head is a thick mane of golden honey hair that glistens in the sunlight. Waved gently, reaching the edge of her shoulder blades, the origin of her alias. Her eyes are wide and lined with thick dark lashes that give a sense of a natural eyeliner. Hazel eyes with a centre of muted green that blends with amber towards the edge, dotted with darker flecks of brown, an often complemented feature. Under the right eye, a small beauty mark marrs the thin skin of her lower eyelid. Behind her pretty eyes, a haziness lingers as though she is staring at something no one else can see. Framing her eyes are dark arched eyebrows, of which the left is nicked by a small silver scar towards its tail. Drinking, games, conversation is where she thrives. Often found sneaking out from her quarters during her training years with Damien to gorge on the city's night life. During their second year of training, Damien proposed and Valencia excepted with an elation she could never hope to experience again. They practiced dancing together every night in preperation for their wedding, excited to show their families their progress. Yet, as they began to dream of their futures together, mere weeks later on a job to collect intel from an informant about the mafia's new monetary avenue. Damien had not made it out of that encounter alive. They had been accompanied by two senior officers, but a well aimed shot from a revolver had pierced straight through his chest. Lodging itself in his lung, collapsing one and causing internal bleeding. Within the hour, he was dead. His body had fallen right beside her. A sight that Valencia will never forget, as his hot blood splattered across her skin where she can still feel is hot burning to this day. Valencia continued to practice dancing, reliving the elation those few weeks with her fiance brought her, she became very proficient in dance but she never danced with a partner, no one on her squad had ever offered and she never asked. Behind her bright hazel eyes, there is a distant stare, as though she is staring through whatever she is looking at - be it living or inanimate. During down time, Valencia finds her hand drawn to the bottle. The languid soothing liquid clears her foggy thoughts of the past, once she has this comfort, Valencia can allow herself to return to her energetic past, brightening the halls with laughter and conversation. Which after a particularly tough mission, her squad mates typically appreciate. Strengths & Weaknesses ⨁ Strong Resolve - even if Valencia's body has reached its limit, she till continue to push through until she has completed her task. ⨁ Loyalty. Valencia is extremely loyal to her close friends, willing to defend them with her life, even if it would cost her life in exchange. ⨂ Sensitive / weak skin in scarred areas. The previous damaged areas are tender and could split open at the seams again if a blow were to hit it in the right spot. ⨂ Flight / Freeze. Under severe circumstances, Valencia will completely freeze during fights, only happening twice in her past. Her team mates had to rip her out of the trance and haul her away to safety. |

It is as simple as that. He does not get burnt, damaged or experience discomfort from heat. Instead, high temperatures feel quite soothing. Pyrokinetic : ̗̀➛ Not only is he unaffected by fire's danger, he can subtly guide its path. Ignite it at his fingertips. He cannot cause incredible explosions of power (for now), instead it is a subtler and small ability that helps add a little flair to his performance. No lighters required. Role Mafia Appearance When one sees Caspian for the first time, it is very easy to pick him as a not so stable individual. If the baggy, well-worn black clothing was enough of an indicator, the tattoos and haunted eyes would be. He stands at 5’11 with a weight of 90kg, he holds a respectable amount of muscle on his torso and arms. Decorating his body are various black markings. Ones of particular note are: ⛧ex favilla nos resurgemus - “from the ashes we will rise”, inked in Times New Roman capitalised font. It curves under his collar bones from left to right. ⛧ Smoke - it starts at its darkest at his pointer fingers and middle fingers, then the thumb. As the smoke moves up his forearms, swirling, it fades in intensity. His skin beneath the ink is a pale ivory with cool undertones that make his ghoulish appearance worse. In terms of facial features, Caspian is the proud owner of a tall subtly aquiline nose with an angular tip. His lips are full for a man with a prominent cupid’s bow on the upper lip. His jaw is straight with a pointed chin where the bone meets each other, typically free from stubble. Above all this are dark brown, almost black eyes, set into sockets of sleepy looking lids that give Caspian a sort of sultry look at all hours. Above those are thick, short and straight eyebrows that match the darker hue of his hair. Sporting a slightly out-grown wolf cut/shag, Caspian keeps it parted in the middle and a natural warm black. His usual scent is a lovely mixture of incense, smoke, and whiskey. The occassional lingering drift of coffee sometimes accompanies. His voice is steady and low, though it sounds like it has been drawn across hot coals with the gravelly reverberation. Personality Caspian is a mixed bag. Outwardly, he is a silver tongued charmer able to talk his way out of (and into) anything. He uses this talent to weasel his way through life and from town to town.
