One of the first places attacked could be the Dragon Pit so the dragons aren't as much of a threat, plus it might be harder to see something that someone how no connection to, and when it involves so many people.

Wait so just to confirm, the current plan is this: everyone shows up at the dragon chosing ceremony, some people notice shady people in crowd but say nothing, they leave for the academy and maybe it is dusk by the time they arrive, and then the attack happens once they get in bed? |

Im torn, because, on one hand it's fun doing the entrances for the dragons. But on the other I really like the idea of the Rp starting with fiery explosions and carnage.
