Is that 20+20+20=60?If yes maybe it has to be at least 21? Otherwise it could be a smaller bug?

Indeed, I think you have to get 20+ on each howl...
Also, I suspect that you get 1 MF for every 100 score on hunting.
Edit: it has been proved wrong as I've got another 200 scores but only 1 moon flower |

I don't think its for every 100 on hunting. I just got one for killing a fox, but got one on the next creature, too {Which was a rabbit} |

i howled 1st with a score of 29 = 3 moon flowers 2nd howl - 24 = no moon flowers 3rd howl - 22 = no moon flowers
so perhaps its all just completely random throughout the event? |

I got this: 1st howl: score of 22, no flowers 2nd howl: score of 19, no flowers 3rd howl: score of 30, 3 flowers
Maybe it's 25+? |
