Gaelic blood just has a luck boost so if you want a battle wolf I would say hell hound ( I've never owned any of these I'm just looking at the game guide)

Depends on what you want. Hell Hound is good as a battle wolf. Gaelic Blood is just pretty, and sometimes a popular breeding wolf

Problem/Bug: Prey disappearing
What you did to find the bug: I was exploring in the desert when I came across a rhinoceros and an event for the moss people. I clicked on the 'Help' button and got some brains for it. I clicked left, then right to go back to rhinoceros, but it was gone. Usually on explore I can click on an event but the prey will still be there.

Prey have an increased flee chance during winter, if you walked off the tile then they wpuld have fled because of this. This isn't a bug. :)

By flee, are you not talking about after you click 'hunt' and the game says 'flees successfully'?

No, prey have the chance to flee if you click off the tile they are one, not just in battle. :)
