Immediately after, the wolf begins to sniff more intensely, licking your finger before chomping down rather harshly. Finding no food, the wolf snorts and backs off. You realize now that this is a female wolf, and has likely had a litter recently based on how her belly hangs. You think back to how sad she looked, curled up in the corner and wounded.. whimpering for her babies. There seems to be a moment of mutual respect as the wolf recognizes you're no longer a threat.
