Leon stands at a reasonable 16 hands, just enough to feel like his coat’s chestnut sheen reaches the sun’s bright swallow. If it weren’t for his occasional self-grooming, one would assume the whole of his body was chestnut. However, any white markings in the desert were readily obscured by the red dust kicked up by his counterparts in play (in his case he was pecked at by a spotted blanket that swallowed his haunches and crept up the shoulders. His fully obscured white pasterns not being included). Despite his height, the subtle traits characteristic of yearlings and young colts still show through in his lengthy, strident limbs and a relatively undeveloped hindquarters. However, these trademarks of innocent youth are slowly being shed under each hot summer day that he spends with the band.

Personality

Leon, though sharp-witted in his own ways, is a relatively spacey young stallion. Smiley and cheerful as he may be, he lacks direction. Having joined a bachelor herd being just under 2 years old, he began quite insecure and dependent on his adoptive bachelor brothers, though he was always a scrawny little rascal. Though his confidence has grown little by little, and his leave being taken quite recently from his bachelor herd, he is still unsure of how to make it on his own. Thus why he joined a herd at the age where many young stallions would be off trying to steal away their first lovers.

Leon is a spry romantic, with a lust for life and all its newness. However, underneath all that, he struggles deeply with who he is and what he wants. He is incredibly insecure.
