Celeste sighed as she bit her lip " I know it wasnt, Marshal. Love isnt built in one day either. " she stopped talking when she saw him tuck himseld into her bed. At least hes here and not in his apartment She thought as she yawned. " I wont say anything any more than you already know. I promise. Its just... a very bad habit". She heared his accent at the moment he did and smiled. " I love you, Marshal. And you cant stop me from feeling that way" Even though the little game they played was over for that day, it wouldnt be over entirely or forgotten. Celeste could tell that Marshal was slowly opening up to her. She wouldnt want to push this now that Landon was coming. She would have a serious attitude that day. She noticed his bare skin. Like marble. She wanted to touch him, but she kept herself from wanting to and got off the bed, grabbed her red silk pajamas, and changed. She didnt have to go into the bathroom, Right? She could trust Marshal to not peek. She chuckled as she thought of Marshal watching, but it wouldnt end well. After she got dressed, she snuggled back into the two person bed. But she had so many things running throught her mind, she didnt get to sleep until eleven pm. I can see how five inch fangs are uncomfortable, but to me, not really she thought he would have to be careful with me though if he did puncture me. But there was one question that she forgot to ask him, as his student. Where his fangs poisonous. I hope not. Because that would take away the whole purpose of what I planned on doing she thought again as she slowly began to drift to sleep. She didnt have normal dreams that night though. It was as if Marshal was there and took away the dreams about war and the feeling of pain of seeing her parents die in front of her and everyone else she cared about. Things would change for the better, for her and her future life. All because of Marshal Black. But tomorrow was the biggest day and she would be prepared for it no matter what. She would tell Landon O'marrah 'no'. But would it be that simple? No of course not. A fight would start and having a true blooded vampire in your room might make things worse. But Celeste knew that it would make a difference. A huge difference in having Marshal here. She smiled at the thought and chuckled. She knew Marshal Black was the one for her for life. But she would have to win his soul in a different way. His way. Edited at September 19, 2021 05:07 PM by LunarOrbitPack

He kept still as her voice soothed him. It was strange to think this is how his day would be. Resting in a halflings den. He had his eyes closed, not wanting to break his promis about staring at walls. "Now why would I stop you from feeling?" He asked it rhetorically but expected an answer, only he didn't hear it being half asleep. Now he only felt things. Like a movement when she shifted her weight, the soft gentle heat that radiated from her. That's another thing he would never admit he missed, human heat. At one point he felt it get hotter and just assumed she had worked herself up over something. No doubt it's about tomorrow. He didn't bother putting much thought into it though, no use in having them both stressed, tired, and physically unprepared. That's why when he felt the bed move, like she was getting off of it, and her warmth go with it he turned slightly. Then he saw her begin to change and quickly turned, minding his manners and respect. That was one thing he did care about. Manners. No feet on the coffee table, close doors. Mind your pleases and thank yous. Your basics I'm alive respect. Then from there it was how much he cared if you lived or died. Nothing personal. Then she hopped back next to him. He debated on turning and holding her. An arm around her, and her head under his chin. If only. Keeping back a stiffled laugh he closed his eyes again. Actually trying to fall asleep. He knew it was ridiculous. All it did was keep him from loosing what little mind he had left. He figured however if more nights like this awaited him then why not keep his marbles in tact a little while longer. There where no dreams which didn't even the slightest surprise him. A dead man's brain has no use for dreams is what he figured it was. Then about two o'clock he woke up again. Unable to fall asleep once more. He looked over his shoulder slowly, to see that she was, in fact, out cold. He thought he heard snoring but it ended up being a tree scrapping in an odd fashion against the window. Well. Now or never. Slowly he lifted himself and turned to face her, careful not to pull the blanket up and around to much as he lowered himself next to her again. And I'll just put my arm here. He would he the first to admit it felt like an awkward hug, but also the same as in the 1950s when a husband would come behind his wife and dance with her. That thought alone fascinated him as he did end up resting his chin over her hair after putting it gently behind her ear, like she had to him earlier. "I would love to dance with you some day." He hadn't realized he said it outloud till it was to late and just rolled with it, kissing the top of her head and falling back asleep as, the big spoon he was ment to be. Celeste tossed and turned a little bit til she found her confortable possition. FInally finding it when Marshals arm was around her. not even feeling the kiss on her head. He had a little smile on her face. She knew that Marshal would be there for her no matter what happened the next day. Love you, Marshal was what came into her mind once in a while. But when he scooted into the covers next to her, she opened her eyes and looked at what felt cold. She chuckled out loud when she saw that it eas Marshal. " Marshal" she said tiredly " It two o'clock in the morning" she said with a yawn " What you doing up so-" but she stopped when she looked over and saw a very tired vampire with his arm around her and his chin on her her I can get used to this. And what is it you said about dancing? She thought as she grazed her free hand along his jawline, mindful of his long fangs. I cant belive im actually sleeping with a vampire! She exclaimed in her mind. But soon after that she did fall asleep. Finally warm for a change. And no worry in her mind that Marshal would attack. Morning finally came around eight o'clock and Celeste was wide awake. But still in bed. Her eyes in a book when she heared someone next to her shuffle beside her. She looked over and chuckled " How lovely to see you survived the night, Marshal." She teased " Now that you are awake... I have things I have to prepare before Landon O'marrah arrives. " she said his name like it was a curse. " But please stay here. I only ask that you dont interfere with the conversation between me and Landon, unless it gets bloody.." She looked at him with a stare before kissing his cheek and sprung out of bed. Grabbing her dress out of he closet beside her bed and headed into the bathroom. She normally closed and locked the door, but since she trusted Marsh to not barge in, she kept the door open slightly.SHe got her hair back to it wavy ways and put it into a neater bun before exiting the bathroom and headed to the kitchen. " I know you cant eat human food... but you could always- no never mind" she shook her head like it was a dumb idea. She cooked herself some eggs and toast before going back to the bed and sa on top of the covers. She was ready to face Landon when the time came. (which should be the next responce after yours. If my planning this is correct.) Edited at September 20, 2021 11:45 AM by LunarOrbitPack

As soon as he wrapped her up in his arms he passed out. Kinda just out like a light switch. He didn't even hear her, or for that matter smell or even feel her movements. Just her heat, and that was only slightly. Yet it was still just as comforting, maybe even more so. And with that thick downy blanket too. This wa she warmest he had been since he was a human. Now that there where no thoughts, movements, or really sounds. Like a sensory deprivation chamber. He got his first dream. As a vampire anyway. In over 170 years. It was incredibly simple. A meal flash of color. Maybe a smell. It was a blue, a bright lively, rich cerulean blue. He fo used on it, and that's when the smell of salt hit him. Just faint, barely recognizable. But it was there. Smiling, he was getting more comfortable. Then he felt jostling. Opening one eye, then the other he gave a slightly disappointed look. Like a puppy who was being left by themselves for the first time. "It seems you did as well." He chuckled lightly as she got up.. Do you have too though?" He asked though it felt like begging. And with him having just woken up his voice was extra deep. And then she actually left him there. His jaw fell slightly agape as he recollected himself. Godamned. Snap out of it you buffoon. "I promise." He rolled his eyes after she had kissed his cheek and turned to her closet. In trueth he was only going to be on the other side of that door. So there was basically nothing between him and 'Landon'. Watching as she turned the corner into the bathroom he threw himself under the covers again, not particularly wanting to get up. If there was a snooze button he would have pressed it, alas you can't snooze the sun. One more she reappeared. You looked good getting up, but now now arnt you looking hella fine. He bit his lower lip, watching her as she walked into the kitchen. Hesitantly he got out of bed, still in his suit pants, his shirt and over jacket being on a chair. He put those on, buttoned it up, and cleaned himself up, looking freash and new for the day. The smell of eggs cooking filled the air of the apartment. Seasonings like pepper, salt, garlic and onion powder. The usual. After getting ready however he didn't follow her into the kitchen, instead took a spot and threw his bare feet up on the bed, where she soon joined him. "Could always what?" He jokingly prodded as he swore he heard her heart rate jump. I see we are back to last night's antics. The thought made him laugh slightly. Grabbing the remote he handed it to her. "Ladies choice?" He offered a softer smile, seeing as his voice hadn't yet returned from its dreary state like his mind had. . (Aww snappppp, I'm ready for it!) " You want me to choose a movie?" Celeste asked as she sat on her side of the bed. Her plate full of her favorite breakfast food. " I hope I dont look too fancy... I mean.. I do.. but.. hopefully not for you" she said putting some eggi n her mouth. She took the remote from him and scrolled throught the movies " Romance movie? Please?" she said with a begging and pleading voice. " Just this once.. I promise. Then you can choose what you want." And hour later, now being 9 AM, she had finished her meal and had her head on Marshals Shoulder, and her hand in his. Like two people in love. " Awe Marshal.. if that were only us..." she said with a sigh as she looked into his eyes, then his lips. If only I could kiss him again She thought. " I know I look hella fine." she chuckled as she kissed him. But it only lasted a second, the kiss would have to wait. Because, there was a knock at the door and Celeste snapped her head up, her heart pounding. She jumped out of the bed and looked back at the door " Shit.. its him. I know it." She said with a slight growl as her fangs became visable. She opened the door and there was Landon with Blood Roses in his hands. But Celeste tossed them to the ground. Before Landon could even say a word, He zipped right into the apartment and put her against a wall, ajacent to Marshal, and kissed her. " Knock it off, Landon!" She said nearly biting him. " I dont love you any more. I love someone else" " You don't mean that Vampire behind me, right?" Landon O'Marrah smirked as he was thrown off her. " How could you love him and not me?" His eyes were angry. " I love him because he's gentle, loving and kind, Landon. You on the other hand, are not. You cheated on me. Marshal would never do such thing." Her eyes were red. Blood thirsty red. " Landon. Get out now before I have to hurt you.Badly.. or even worse, have Marshal kill you" Celeste growled. When Landon O'Marrah finally zipped out of the apartment, Celeste was on her bed. Her head in her lap. " Oh Marshal... did I do the right thing? " She then felt the bed move and her face lifted to face him. She looked into his eyes. " And be fore you say it.. I did mean what I said about me loving you instead of him. " She sighed and leaned her head on his chest. her arm around his waist. Eyes closed. Was this what love felt like? Peaceful? Edited at September 21, 2021 08:20 PM by LunarOrbitPack

Sitting rather comfortably he handed her the remote. "Of course." He put an arm around her. Trying to calm her down though he could tell it wasn't working the best. He heart was audible again, and her breath was just quickened enough to be concerned. "As long as your happy with how you look, it's no one else's business." These where words he lived by. He didn't where a suit because he cared how people looked at him, be wore is French personally tailored suits and Italian leather shoes because he knew he looked spicy in them. And he was right. "Its your home." He chuckled. "Why are you asking my permission?" He was one for horror, action, or gore. Mostly gore. So when she turned it on he wasn't paying the most attention to it. Being the first to admit he was watching it aimlessly, like a mindless fish just swimming. She had kissed him when he heard footsteps. No heart, no new smell, nothing. Then a knock. Here we go. He forced his fangs back, at least trying to catch him off gaurd. "I'm right here." He kept his promis and stood against the wall with the television against it. Fighting his first instinct to kick this guys ass. He wasn't Marshals commander anymore, plus, he had a least 40 years on this guy. The only thing holding him back was the microscopic hint of self control he had. Then he had the gaul to enter HER den, and KISS her. His golden irsis went black, as the white of his eyes went pure red, he looked like a demon. Possessed. Still he forced his fangs to stay hidden. Taking a step closer, his strength increased as he forced Landon off her, stepping away again, so she didn't notice he did it. Then she threatened letting him kill Landon. With pleasure. He had a lot of pent up aggression he wanted to take out on this guy. His fangs finally got the best of him as they came out, all the way. What was left in his blood vessels turned purple as he still tried to not rip him in half. The urge more the halfway there. Then the guy just left. He slammed the door behind him, and quickly returned to his calm, natural, relaxed self. Analyzing what had happened. Sitting on the bed again he felt pressure on him. She had collapsed in his lap amd arms. He lowered his head, and put one arm around her, the other rubbing her back. "Celeste. Darling. Sweetheart. You did better then I think I could have ever in your position." With him still being pissed the guy was alive more of his accent came threw, and thicker this time. He tried to shake it off quickly, hoping she hadn't noticed. Her head lifted up and their eyes met. Removing the hand that was massaging her shoulder he held her dainty chin. "And I took each word to heart." He let her continue to stay in his lap. Comforting her. Now with a goal. Thinking of the best way to make him suffer. Celest was glad that Landon... now her ex mate.. left the apartment she could let her feelings and emotions out on the other being that was left. The one sitting right next to her. He really does care she thought as she lifted her head to face him. " Marshal.. I wanted to frickin kill him... but I just couldnt. And telling him that I wanted you to do it, made me just kill myself on the inside. I couldnt let you kill him. I Know you hate him... he was your commander or general right? If so, I have more right to kill him than you. One of these days I will." She stopped talking so she could catch her breath and looked away " Im sorry for acting like this.. I might need a few moments alone... but dont leave becasue you have to. I want you to stay. You belong here " she looked at him and wrapped her arms around him and leaned in before kissing him longer than she wanted to but she didnt care. She didnt even care that his fangs were out slightly " How's that to make up for the intrusion?" she chuckled with a slight blush " And dont tease me with the accent. I love it. But most of all... I love you. Life be damned if you think I dont. " The blood roses were scattered in her room, " I think I'll keep one of these. They last for decadades and plus my apartment needs some beauty." she said picking one of the roses up and put it on the kitchen landing before walking back to Marshal and sat on his lap. Her eyes on Marshal. " Do you really care about me, Marshal?" Her question was sincere and straight like an arrow with no sight of fear. His hand was on her chin the whole whil,e not caring the coldness. There was eternity for getting used to it. Last minute, she knew she was on her back, with Marshal above her. " What are you doing, Marshal?" She chuckled her hand on his chest, ready to hold him back. But she knew she didnt need to. Him comforting her was what she wanted. But his love for her as well. They sat for a while longer, he played with the little bits of her hair that curled or didn't get included in her bun. Or got dislodged. Is this what a mental breakdown looks like? He couldn't see much in terms of what she was feeling, he did however just see a look on her face. It looked pained. Distraught. He wasn't certain. Rubbing her back and listening he understood the urge of wanting to kill that moron. "No no. He deserves suffering." He got an evil smile as his eyes darted to the window. I see you. He had been meaning to cause chaos or just burn something. And with the fact that he used to be governed by that arrogant ass made it all that more poetic to him. "Besides, it isn't a matter of rights..." His voice trailed as he saw him dissappear into an ally. Your a dead man walking. Though his face showed the faintest hint of disappointment. Out of the corner of his eye he saw she made a quick movement, turning away. And he words told him shame of all thing. Being grateful he didn't need air or anything really while she took a moment. "Please, he's an ass. Take your time." He reassured her as she started to stumble on words again. Then whqt was rather unexpected she sort of well... begged him to stay. He would figure that part of the puzzle later as she almost instantly kissed him. Of course he reciprocated and when she blushed he winked. "I think that does more then make up for it." He combed his hair back with his hand for a moment. "C'mon, that's something I can't control.... all of the time." He joked as he could occasionally, and for the last bit he forced his original Irish accent just a little. Sitting he was intrigued. She did that to him. Made him question things. He looked down at the roses on the floor. Thinking only to chuck them out of the window. "I don't know what you mean. Your home certainly has more personality then mine." He laughed as she sat down in his lap. He took the opportunity to brush a stray hair behind her ear. Then she asked a difficult question. One where the answer eluded him. He couldn't remember what love felt like. He knew he cared for her. He hadn't noticed his face went to stone in though. His eyes lacking all emotion. Instead feeling like machinery, acting with only the soul purpose of seeing. An idea popped in his mind. Sort of. I got it. He flipped her over. Towering over her. "What I am doing." He paused. "Is evading." He chuckled as he glanced at the window. Now or never. He threw himself out the window, looking back only to see if she would care as he dipped behind the building. Determined to not answer her. Edited at September 22, 2021 09:40 PM by AppleBottomJeans

Before Celeste could even wrap her brain around on what Marshal meant by his last statement, he had already disappeared. Out of sight. Damn it… hes gonna go after my ex and hurthim. She thought raising herself up from when Marshal loomed over her a few minutes ago. “ Not if I can help It though.” And idea came to her. She grabbed her cellphone and texted her brother Darren to meet her in the Alley n five minutes. “ Something is gonna happen and I don’t want it to happen. I want you to be there with me. Yes, Darren, my vampire is gonna be there… he has had a very bad time with him and is seeking revenge against Landon. I only ask you to do me one tiny favor... Do down into the alley and see what is going on, I want to be there, but i'm scared I will be the one having to stop the fight." Her brother agreed and , in the same second, was outside walking towards the alley. Celeste watched him til he was behind the building before grabbing a sharp object, then her keys, and walked outside to head to the alley as well. She had a plan to get things settled. Even if she was the one bleeding from the pain. Landon was out hunting humans in the alley, miding his own business. Darren was hidden, just watching him. But then, he saw his sisters new lover, Marshal waslking in. He is definently better looking than Landon. I'll give him that He thought. After getting composer of her thoughts and feelings, she walked to the alley, quietly. She didnt want anyone know she was there. She would know when the time camr to get everyone looking her way. The shark object, in her pocket. Ready to draw blood. She soon spotted Marshal facing Landon, but not attacking. Good. She walked slightly closer to them when she felt Marshals wanting to attack But Celeste stopped him. " Marshal.. no. We are doing this my way." she walked up to them and glared at Landon and then at Marshal. Then her brother. " You came here to end Landon, right, Marshal? Well I cant let you. It's my job. He killed my family, after all. But gonna do it another way." She took out the sharp glass and put it against her arm, making a seration from her elbow down to her wrist, blood falling to the alley floor. She then dropped the glass and looked at the eyes on her. " I love you Marshal. If you truly love me, like I think you do, save me." She was testing to see how his love of human blood would react to hers. But also the urge to want to attack Landon O'Marrah. Who's eyes were red and bloodthirsty. Then, Landon raced towords her. Fangs protruding. Edited at September 23, 2021 09:12 AM by LunarOrbitPack

He had dipped himself into the ally. This would be incredibly easy. He was faster, stronger, bolder, and most importantly better at improvising then Landon who didn't know he was there, to busy feasting on some moron. He was however feeling watched from behind. He stood in disappointment and resentment at him. His eyes going bloodshot as his feet braced for impact. He balled his hands into tightly wound powerful fists. He was taught how to break 3 feet of solid cement with them. This fools bones where nothing but a slight inconvenience. He wound for his first punch. Smiling as he knew the damage he could cause. Then Celest got in the way. From apparently out of no where. He gave a sound that could only be described as pissed. It wasn't a grunt or a growl, just pissed. You need to stop getting in my way. He was gonna throw her to her brother who also was there. Great, 1 on three. He would have rolled his eyes but thought the situation to tense for something like sarcasm. "What do you mean another." He stopped as she pulled out a glass shard, and put it to herself. Looking around he saw she was serious. And Landon seemed to eager for her to do it, and he was being odly silent. Turning he saw her brother went pale. He heard shattering, and his nose filled the rich smell of iron. Inhaling it sharply he watched as she collapsed. It took him a solid second, just to process shattering again quickly. You crazyy... Why?! He glanced to her brother, then to Landon. He was already on his way to her. Fangs bore. "No you dont." He grabbed his neck and slammed him against the brick wall in the ally. "I dont have the time." From that Landon was in shock, not used to Marshel doing anything to him. That's right, no longer a dog on your leash. He gave her brother a look. One full of intesnity. He was getting enraged. He couldn't hold any accent back, it was thick and guttural. He cursed in old Welsh. "Go get some bandages, thick ones. A needle as well, and threading. Obviously." He gave the order and stared Landon back down into the corner of the ally he tried leaving as he sat down. He tore his hole sleeve off of his left arm and tied it around hers shoulder, to keep more blood from leaving her system threw her arm. He tore his other sleeve into halves, and tied it at he elbow to keep pressure and again in the middle of her forearm, to keep her arm as closed as possible. With his hands now available he kept the in between spots together. Looking into the road, waiting for he brother to return. Edited at September 23, 2021 02:43 PM by AppleBottomJeans
