"I'm sorry about your family" she lowered her head understanding the loss. "I had a mate for a very short time his name was Jairo. He died protecting our small pack of friends from these humans." She shot a glare at the distant white building. A low sounding growl escaping. Skadi left her family young as they couldn’t feed everyone. she later met up with a traveling band of wolves and had taken one as a partner and they soon were expecting pups. "I lost my pups I was to have day one here" she looked down sad.

"As to what they have done to us since then I have never felt more excruciating pain than when these beautiful things grew " she glanced at her massive raven wings. Remembering the weeks of non stop howls of pain as they all grew their wings.

"I'm sorry about your pups but your right about the wings. I could hear yelps and painful howling. I tried to be as quiet as I could but it felt like my whole body was being torn apart. I don't know if all that pain was worth some wings. It might for now we can fly and later generations might have wings too." Luna looked around and wondered how they would escape. Could they escape at all?

Luke stood up and started to walk around. He sniffed a few of the trees in the enclosure. He also wondered why they were trapped here. He saw a black she-wolf talking to the somehow familiar silver she-wolf. Luke ignored them though. He walked over to a corner of the area and laid down. He shook his head, wondering why they were here. Others die while others, like us, live? This doesn't make much sense but us having bird-like features doesn't make sense either. Maybe it will benefit us somehow, like being able to spot animals from far away. Luke put his head on his paws, wondering about his thousands of questions that may never be answered.

Luna looked at the wolf, whose name, if she remembered correctly, was Kelly. "I'm sorry. Most of the wolves here probably had similar experiences. Being separated was really hard for us. We are now just wolves being studied by humans. We may just be different species of wolves." Luna looked around and shook her head. All of these wolves were taken from their family against free will. They didn't have any choice to be brought here with all of their family. Some of the lucky ones still had their families. Luna shook her head, thinking that she was here with no one she knew completely. Getting to know others were great but having somebody was great too. Maybe they would all get to know each other and eventually escape.

"I've never had a family." Kelly said sadly, looking upwards at the sky net.

"They killed my mother and 'saved' me." I said bitterly,"tossing me from 'zoo' to 'zoo' until they released me into the wild"

Kelly tossed back her wings.

"In the wild! NO EXPERIENCE WHATSOEVER!!!"Kelly screamed, turning around and facing the white box. She calmed down, tears steaking her face.

Luna folded her ears back as the wolf screamed. Luna said, "Your life must've been pretty rough then. Humans don't understand us. They really don't." Luna said, flapping her wings once. "If you don't know how to survive in the wild, then why would they just put you out there?! People are just...they don't understand that some of us can't survive without humans. They feed some of us and then they expect us to live in the wild?!" Luna growled. She really wanted to tear a human apart. They weren't only uncaring but they were just plain dumb.

Kelly turned around, her eyes sparkling with tears.

"You understand"

"We need to escape, and soon."

"I understand, yes." Luna sighed. "We do need to escape, but how. We can't fly nor chew through the fence." She looked around for a way out. This would be a hard decision to make. They would need to get all of the wolves to decide what to do and then to make it go faster, they would all hopefully help. But what exactly would they do?

Kelly contemplated, frowning.

"what, how often do the humans check on us?"
