I mean why would someone choose a wolf over a farm dog? I know they couldn't have the role anyway, but still.
Edit: In a farm situation, I mean.

It's a human roleplay and there is no where that should give them the idea that animals can be played. I find it weird that someone would find someone else's human roleplay and then decide that they wanted to play an animal. For me it raises red flags that they are trying to take over the roleplay.

I know we already talked about this topic a while back, but I just wanna say, doing research on conditions one may be interested in giving to their character is not difficult. Right now, I am interested in possibly having one of my new OCs have ADHD, and despite me trying to look left and right for research... it isn't difficult. When people give bad depictions of a condition, it honestly feels to me like they just looked up the systems and went from there.

Obviously, those are prominent components. But something always tells me, that they didn't dig into how people with whatever condition they're interested in, might commonly act. How someone with this condition would be like perspective wise, things like that. If someone doesn't have the condition, the least someone could do is learn about it if they want to use it for a OC. :P

It just crossed my mind and started bugging me again, wanted to get this out.

Oh same! I mean, it's always important to know how something affects someone. Especially if you're writing from their point of view. I know I do a lot of research just overall because that's who I am, lol, but yeah!

you're so right and you should say it !! research is a few clicks away and everyone should at least try to make a realistic representation of a mental illness

Pudding: I second that for sure. The use of any sort of disorder should be researched thoroughly or at least gain a basic understanding from what you have looked at before jumping into describing it in the RP with that said character. I have found a lot of Anxiety OCs that simply despise groups and crowds which is a thing, but then nothing further happens with that. Research is key when it comes to these things, and it doesn't even have to be for a disorder. Maybe it's where their name comes from, their clothing style because they are a foreigner, etc.

I also find how infuriating it can be to see a disorder/illness portrayed poorly. Especially depression... As someone who has it, it's quite upsetting when they just think that depression is just being sad 24/7. Sure it's that, but there's so much more than just being sad and not wanting to do anything. It isn't hard to do research, cause I have seen poorly portrayed characters with disorders and having it offend people. ^^

I have a lot of taller characters (especially male) who are normally bisexual or straight. I still have yet to have a short gay male, maybe even shy. xD
Are they worth the time?

I mean, if you want the experience then sure, and if you think it fits the OC then that's your prerogative. But I say make it your own, if you want to make this short Homosexual dude that's shy.

do itttt short guys need love too
i have an idea for anyone who wants to make a short character
make their clothes slightly oversized, but not big enough for them to want to get new clothing, but just oversized enough for it to mildly infuriate them 24/7
