i feel like she's been alive for literally forever lmfao jericho had SO MUCH energy as a younger dog omg. we got him when he was about a year old so you can imagine how he was then. we used to take him on long backpacking trips and he never got tired, it was ridiculous Honey
Also what is it with little dogs just living through everything? They just keep on kicking no matter what!
Love GSPs too, so crazy though, I bet he used to have a lotta energy!

we were all surprised that they weren't purebred plotts honestly! the rescues she got them from said luna is mixed with some other hound breeds and that lucy has a little pit bull in her (which absolutely shocked me) Eternity said: Honey Awh, plotthounds! They always look scarily similar to my old man, funny how mixes can look like actual breeds! I adore the big floppy ears.

Eci Totally fair. It's a lot to handle, and kind of tedious at times. Separate to feed, separate play times, no toys in the backyard at all, etc. Central Asian Labradors are huge dogs too, I feel like having more than one would be a handful with or without the recourse guarding

Nikwasi, yeah. Omen doesn't fulfill everything that I want in a dog. No fault of his own but I want to do dog sports and he's just kind of there to be scary and aggressive so I feel comfortable at home, lol. I don't know that a breed like him would really jive with any other dogs, though, so he'll probably be solo for a long time.
Sounds really time-consuming to always make sure the dogs aren't getting into it over anything stupid. :')
And ah, they're called Central Asian Shepherds! Central Asian Labradors was just my stupid joke about Omen accidentally breeding with my next dog, if I ever get one. I want a Lab, so I guess Central Asian Labrador is what you'd call the resulting disaster. xD

Eci Brain fart with the name of the dog breed 😅 I read what you wrote and typed the wrong thing I promise I got your joke lmao It can be kind of time consuming but not that bad to be honest Realistically I feel like it depends on the temperament of the specific dog more than the breed as a whole- he could be able to get along with another dog, you just can't know for sure til you try. Most of my dogs have been fine with other dogs until Brynn (didn't include her in my post) and Mavis. Socializing them from a young age helps a lot with getting along with other dogs though Edited at August 8, 2024 06:24 PM by Nikwasi

Haha, no worries. I figured as much.
As for getting along with dogs, early socialization helps but honestly I didn't have a lot of access to any suitable dogs for him to interact with at a young age. I didn't prioritize engagement around dogs as much as I should have and he can be a bit of a menace around other dogs sometimes, lol. It's definitely a big training goal.
