And here is the short story that may or may not eventually happen, haha- Who knows Enjoy! - In The Air Word Count; 1535. Characters; Garvin and Akira. Some unnamed guy. The running away group is mentioned a bit too. TWs; Swearing, self-worth issues, implied drinking, slight violence, implied addiction, heavily implied panic attack, heavily implied dissociation, implied past trauma, implied internalized ableism, messy writing/ending, and uh… That might be it? Maybe? Hard to say for sure, honestly… My guy is vague for some reason. Notes; So, again, no clue if this will actually happen in the Run Clio Run Arc but the idea came to me randomly, suddenly, and thus I had to write it. At first, Garvin and Henny are co-fronting (aka in the middle of Garvin passing the wheel over to Henny), and then Jersey switches in. None are explicitly named, so, yeah. I recently remembered the word smog exists. I’d forgotten how much I love that word. Anyways. Hopefully Akira is written correctly. Enjoy, haha. *~*~*~* He was pushed against one of the walls of the alleyway, far enough away from the entrance that anyone passing by wouldn’t have any reason to not just walk on by. The man he’d left the bar with wrapped a hand around his waist and kissed him, pulling himself closer. He let his own hands roam to the man’s hips, and tried to remember if he’d been told a name or not. It didn’t really matter, but he was kind of hoping he hadn't since he couldn’t drag it up if he had been. - He wasn’t even that drunk, he hadn’t been in the bar for that long before this. Which was a whole other issue, because he’d truly rather be drunk at the moment. But, well, he couldn’t really complain. After all, the man was drunk enough that his lips tasted like alcohol and his hands were flimsy. Drunk enough that he wouldn’t notice him stealing the watch and rings he was wearing or the wallet that was in one of his back pockets. Besides, it wasn’t that late either yet. He probably had enough time to get with a few more after this guy. Which was good, since he didn’t know how much he’d actually get off of just this one guy. Enough to manage if he was on his own, most likely, but as it was, he wasn’t on his own. - At least there was enough damn smog in the air that stealing the watch and rings would actually be fairly easy to do. Maybe easier than the wallet, even. - The kiss was deepened, and the hand at his waist was trying to pull his pants down in time with the sound of the man’s zipper. He kept his eyes closed, trying to ignore the feeling of extra hands on him, hands he knew weren’t there, and instead tried to focus on where his own hands were searching for the man’s wallet. The hand at his waist was still struggling with his pants when the other found his throat. For a second, the man pulled away from the kiss, and he tried to make sure that his hands weren’t giving away what he was trying to do. The man only breathed before kissing him again though, and he went back to looking for the wallet. - The man was only just starting to make progress at pushing his pants down when he found the wallet with one of his own hands. He’d only just gotten a hand to start fishing it out, only just managed to feel one of the man’s hands grab the skin of his hip while the other started to squeeze his throat, with a lump in it that he hadn’t noticed before— When he heard a voice from near the mouth of the alley before anything could actually start to happen. He could feel the sinking dread though, as the man pulled away from him at the words he himself could barely hear. - “Get yer hands off ‘im.” - He ripped his eyes open when the voice reached him, when the man pulled away, started to step away. He couldn’t— It was someone he knew. He knew that. He couldn’t get past the tension building in his shoulders, the dread pooling in his stomach. He couldn’t look over at whoever had said it. Not as the man started to look over, started to say something… And then stopped. He had enough time to see the realization in the man’s brown eyes and put one of his hands on the wall behind him, his other still holding the man’s wallet. The only other thing that he had enough time to do was think one word— Shit. - The fist that hit him after that wasn’t all that strong, not compared to other times he’d been punched, and it didn’t seem like it hit exactly where the man was trying to hit him either. But it still landed, and it was still a rather solid hit, and he was fairly sure that it was his hand on the wall that kept him from taking a dive. His legs weren’t helping him stay upright, at the very least, not with how shaky they were. Maybe that had more to do with how blurred his vision seemed, or how hard it was to breathe. Or the hands he could still feel on him. He wasn’t sure. It didn’t matter. He heard the man say something. Maybe. He didn’t think it was the other person’s voice, at least. He couldn’t tell with the ringing in his ears. - He blinked, his fingertips scraping the bricks of the wall behind him as his hand fought to keep him standing. And then he noticed that the man was gone. Which… Meant that something must’ve happened after he’d gotten hit that he hadn’t noticed. His breathing still hadn’t fixed itself though, so he couldn’t quite figure out what. Or how long ago he’d been hit. He couldn’t— Footsteps were walking towards him. Or at least getting closer to him. He could tell that much. He looked over, already getting ready for if he had to make a run for it. He paused almost as soon as he’d looked over though, taking in the dark purple hair and amber eyes as they continued to make their way over to him. - Aquila. He closed his eyes for a second, leaning back, content to just catch his breath. Because it was Akeri. Cash. Who could manage long enough for him to catch his breath. He almost felt himself relax even. Only… Them being there meant that they’d been the person to say something. So he didn’t relax. He shifted, almost uncomfortable, suddenly all too aware of what that meant. The hand that’d been holding the man’s wallet was empty, after all. Which meant the group still needed money. Money he didn’t have. He heaved a breath at the thought. It was kind of hard to think. Or it was at least getting harder, he couldn’t tell. He needed a smoke. Or a drink. Or something else. Something stronger. Something stronger would be best. He was tired. Maybe. Or maybe that was just because of how hard it was getting to breathe. He didn’t know. He wasn’t sure. - He felt himself starting to slip down the wall. He realized he wasn’t really breathing. Not in a way where air was actually getting to him, at least. He needed to breathe. He needed to figure something out. What was he figuring out? Nothing was— He could still feel hands on him. Still? He didn’t— Everything was out of focus. What was he— He couldn’t— He couldn’t breathe. Was he drowning again? He couldn’t— - “Garvin—” - His eyes snapped open and he looked over, something simmering at the name, he couldn’t tell what. It didn’t matter. More pressing was that he’d thought he’d opened his eyes already. Had he closed them again? He couldn’t remember closing them again. He was already speaking though, already standing. He barely noticed. “What the fuck, ‘quila?” They stopped a little ways from him, eyes narrowing. Were they upset? Confused? He couldn’t tell. He didn’t care. He heard himself continue. “Seriously. What the fuck did ya do that fo’?” - “Wha— He was goin’ ta—” - “Ta wha’? Fuck me?” He felt his own eyes narrow as he interrupted them. Was he angry? He couldn’t tell. Which was stupid as shit. Maybe he was angry at that. He couldn’t find it in him to really care though, whatever the fuck he was angry at didn’t really matter anyway. “Yeah, kinda the fuckin’ point dere, ‘quila. I was gon’ steal ‘is money too. So. Y’know.” He gestured a bit at the end, almost losing his train of thought. He huffed, dragged a hand through his hair, venom dripping off his words. “Thanks fer the fuckin’ help. Real good job dere, bud. Real good job dere.” - He took a breath, ran his hand through his hair again, forced himself not to pull at it. He took another breath, gritted his teeth, clenched his jaw, and ran his hand through his hair for a third time. He rested his other against the wall. Pulled it away from the wall. Rested it against it again. He bit his tongue and knocked on it, once, and— “Fuck.” He knocked on the wall again. “Fuck. Fuckin’ dammit.” - He looked over at Akeri when he heard them starting to say something. He didn’t care what. He leveled a glare, pointed at them. “Shut up. Shut the fuck up. I didn’ need yer fuckin’ help. So jus’ piss off, aight?” He heaved through a breath, pausing to think for a second, to sift through the smog. What were the chances that he’d… He huffed, squeezed his eyes closed. “Y’know wha’, if ya wan’ ta do sumthin’ ta help…” He pulled at the smoke in the air. If there was one good thing, it was how little focus he had to put into his ability to steal shit. He held the watch out to Cash. “Take this ta a fuckin’ pawn shop while I go an’ find some other asshats ta steal from.”

I love the story, it's amazing! Very well written! Definitely something I can see happening And Akira's written great, so don't worry about that :)

Haha, glad you liked it- I thought it was something that could end up happening, yeah, seemed like a likely scenario to me. Especially after the safety/survival conversation Akira and Garvin have haha Definitely glad that Akira is well written too

Okay, so, I've decided that the best way to decide what age to do for Garvin is to decide if we want the worst July ever or a much easier to deal with July. Since that shows up first haha

I loved it, and, yeah, for sure. I feel like these two barely fight, but when they do, it's usually over something like this, lol - Hmm, that's hard too though- Though, I will say, I think the problem with the worst July ever is, uh... No one is necassarily super equipped to handle it. I mean, except maybe Bernard? I could see him being okay handling that, but otherwise- It may be hard to balance with it being the first month in space too, lmao - Also, have this so very angsty song for future T8P (2.0) Nico, because I'm craving angst right now and this will give you more hints on the future mindset of Nico :) - Song: Promise by Laufey (With some adjustments to lyrics to better fit characters and avoid as much repeating in some spots) - Characters: Nico. The rest of GRAIN and Bernard mentioned - Notes: Yeah, just some of the mindset of future Nico. This song takes place after the first month of Nico's kidnapping, after they (kinda) process the fact that literally none of their partners except Garvin stuck with them when she needed it most (we're ignoring the possibilty of Revan stepping in after a talk with Bernard for now, so it may not be fully accurate, but it'll still give you a good idea, lol). So much angst. So fun. Enjoy! - Nico, after recognizing that only Garvin and Bernard even made an attempt to mentally support him, forcing herself to go against their usual mannerisms and keep the distance set: "I made a promise to distance myself..." Nico, after a bit more time, still very obviously struggling, but leaning more on Bernard (and some on Garvin) for support, mentioning their travels through space and trying to convince herself more than anyone that he totally hasn't thought about falling back on old habits with the hope of old relationships mending themselves... or ignoring that they didn't mend at all: "Took a flight, through aurora skies. Honestly, I didn't think about how we didn't say goodbye just 'see you very soon.'" Nico, acknowledging that, while he's grateful for Garvin, it hurts that Garvin's paying more attention to Nico than himself (hypocrits say what? lol): "It hurts to be something." Nico, then acknowledging that the fact that his relationship with the other three has fallen apart hurts more because at least Garvin cared: "It's worse to be nothing with you..." Nico, after allowing a bit more healing time, ranting to Bernard about everything without really processing what all she's saying, sounding rather bitter (also a hint of Garvin's offered habits are rubbing off on Nico): "So I didn't talk to any of them for sixteen long days, and I should get a cigarette for so much restraint." Nico, still ranting, turning sad again and confiding that they feel like he's losing herself completely and how they really don't think they can keep up being distant, despite it hurting to even be around Ingall, Akira, and Revan: "No matter how long I resist temptation, I will always lose." Nico, still ranting, relaying her feelings on what's happening with Garvin as well as the others: "It hurts to be something, but it's worse to be nothing with them." Nico, both desperate and slightly panicked as their seperation anxiety kicks in and he continues to try to convince themself that going back is not a good idea because things will fall apart again, especially with Akira: "I've done the math, there's no solution! We'll never last! Why can't I let go of this?!" Nico, finally giving in shortly after Briar and Aries rejoin and going to talk with Akira (he would have already spoken to Ingall and Revan at this point, but shhhh): "So I broke my promise, I called you last night... I shouldn't have, I wouldn't have, if it weren't for the sight of Briar talking to you out in that corridor..." Nico, later on, with the whole polycule, finally fully breaking down: "It hurts to be something, but it's worse to be nothing with you! It hurts to be something. It's worse to be nothing with you..." Oh for sure they only argue when it's something like that, otherwise the two get along very well - Yeah- The funny thing about the worst July is that usually after the attempt is made, there's a slight period where everything is in so much disarray because, oh shit, he survived?, that allows for Juke to show up. There is so much lore. Anyways. Juke has like. The most self-preservation. Ever. It's an odd thing. But if we think the worst July ever is too much, then I'll go ahead and do the 17 turning 18 Garvin. Then your song lyric thing will more likely be accurate Which, by the way- - Absolutely love that song lyric thing! So incredibly angsty! Love it. Absolute greatness.

That's very interesting, actually, lol Hmm, yeah, I say let's go ahead and do 17 turning 18 Garvin Though I am still very interested in that lore, lmao - Glad you liked it! I feel like writing angsty things right now, and I have a vague idea, but I have no idea who it would work best for yet, so, we'll see-

Sounds good, alright- Might make Bernard 19 then, if that's alright - Haha, same, I have another song lyric thing in the works now actually- For T8P 2.0 Oh, and some incorrect quotes. Literally most of these would have only worked if we picked 17 turning 18. Which we did. So. Enjoy! -- Revan: “What’s the worst decision you’ve made while drunk?” Garvin: “Don’t mean to brag but I don’t even need alcohol to make really bad decisions.” - Revan, to Garvin: “That’s not how you eat pasta in these lands, you ignorant slut.” - Garvin, about Ingall: “He’s complaining, meanwhile I was eating my 5th cricket.” - Garvin: “What if people had food names and food had people names?” Garvin, to Nico: “Hey Spaghetti, time for dinner.” Nico: “What are we having?” Garvin: “Revan.” Revan: “How am I dating you?” Garvin: “Shut up, Potato.” - Revan, to Garvin: “That’s a bad idea.” Garvin: “Uh huh.” Revan: “I’m assuming you already did it?” Garvin: “Yuppers.” - Garvin: “Bite me as hard as you please, and make me see stars. I am yours to use.” Garvin, two seconds later: “Imagine a burger saying that, haha.” - Garvin, to Revan: “We’re going to get high and fuck?” Garvin, two seconds later: “I meant high as fuck.” Garvin, two more seconds later: “…No, I didn’t.” - Garvin, to Revan: “I know you’re mad at me, but I’m sure your dick isn’t so I should still be able to come over.” - Revan: “What even are we?” Garvin: “I’d say enemies with benefits.” - Bernard, to Garvin: “Are you drunk?” Garvin: “…No.” Bernard: “Good.” Garvin: “I ‘accidentally’ took ecstasy though.” - Bernard, to Garvin: “You’re sad.” Garvin: “I wouldn’t say I’m sad.” Bernard: “But like, if a semi truck was speeding in your direction you wouldn’t step out of the way?” - Garvin: “I’m funny.” Revan: “That’s debatable.” Garvin: “You’re debatable.” Revan: “Your existence is debatable.” - Garvin: “Don’t let me drink any more wine tonight.” Revan: “I can literally see you drinking wine right now.” Garvin: “Shhh.” - Bernard, walking over to Garvin holding a pack of cigarettes up: “I just opened a cabinet looking for cereal and a pack of cigarettes fell out.” Garvin, definitely high and totally not planning on eating the cigarettes: “Put some milk on those fuckers.” - Garvin, knocking on Revan’s door: “Are you awake? Because I am and I want attention.” - Alt version- Garvin, knocking on Revan’s door: “Are you awake? Please don’t be asleep. I’m drunk and need to tell you how much I love you.” - Revan: “What is wrong with you?” Garvin: “I’m not getting fucked on the regular.” - Revan: “What are you doing?” Garvin, who just walked into Revan’s room and sat down on the floor, watching/staring at him: “Waiting for you to get off work so I can give you head.” - Nico, if they end up going down the drinking route: “How’s your hangover? I’m dying.” Garvin: “Amateur. I’ve already started drinking again.” Nico: “It’s 11am.” Garvin: “I fear nothing.” - Garvin: “Wanna get drunk?” Nico: “It’s not even lunchtime. You have fucking issues.” Nico, two seconds later: “Okay, yeah, I’m down.” - I’m sorry but- Briar: “I have a lot of feet… But not enough hands… What do I do here?”

Sounds good! I'll just age up Akira as well then, since they're technically supposed to be the oldest (though it's not that big of a deal if Bernard is a few months older or something, so don't worry about that), lol - Ooo, sounds fun! I've figured out my idea, yay, lmao - I love the quotes so much, they're all amazing And the last one is fucking brutal, it's hilarious, I love it XD
