Lmaoooo The Elemental Elder getting fucking stabbed by their chosen heir is honestly so funny- - Well, at least that's something, haha Definitely a good idea to keep Revan and Garvin seperated though, lol - Unfortunately, I doubt that will work given the circumstances (and, well- So, Akira is gonna have one of their angry outbursts, or, less an outburst and more an eerily quiet anger that's even worse, probably, most likely, like, the ones that only happen when someone they care deeply about is hurt... Ones that are probably the scariest and that we'll see some of with that Andi Arc in AFCS, and Briar will, unknowingly and indirectly be the reason for this, so frankly, even Bernard doesn't stand much of a chance.), you know, fun things :) We do appreciate Bernard trying though, Bernard is the best, we love him - We love Aries for that too, haha And fair on Garvin's part, though very sad- Now I keep thinking about (later, or, like healthy) AFCS polycule meeting T8P (also later) polycule and the confusion and angst that comes with the good ending knowing there's a world where things don't work out and the bad ending knowing there's a world where everything did end up working out. - Alsooo, I'm dying to give you some hints on T8P future Briar angst hints, but I can't find a good neka/picrew for it, so we'll see if that happens soon or not XD

Definitely a good idea haha - Yeahhhh Bernard still probably gonna try And, honestly, the more I think about it with Bernard in the consideration too, Garvin's likely going to end up staying. Because there's no way Bernard doesn't notice his reaction to the mere suggestion of kicking Briar out. So. Yeahhh Something I would like to mention is that out of mine so far for T8P, Garvin's actually the youngest. Revan and Bernard are both 18 as of right now, Aries is 17, and Garvin is 16 (17 after July). The timeline for Garvin is literally that he'd just recently, like maybe a month ago, left the Rinny, Mouse, and Ford group. Which was a whole mess of a thing. He's not doing very well. He doesn't even know Devery all that well. So he doesn't even have Levy to fall back on. - Yeahhhh Bernard would have to be there to help mediate because no way would T8P Garvin be able to do that Literally, T8P Garvin be crying and begging Bernard on bad days to not make him enter the same room as the people he doesn't trust because he doesn't want to risk getting kicked out Literally whenever he's called, he will be hiding under sinks and in closets and literally anywhere he can find to hide because he doesn't want to get kicked out and if they don't ever see him, then they can't kick him out. Won't eat in front of anyone except for Bernard, maybe eventually Nico and Aries. Showers would never be longer than, like, three minutes, and even that would be something he'd have to be convinced to do. You get a Garvin that just... Is so afraid to take up any space whatsoever because he doesn't want to be kicked out. - Oooo, fun, good luck at it haha Might do a Bernard and Garvin neka.

Actually, been thinking about it even more and- Jeez, Bernard might actually have a chance here because like... He would be willing to threaten leaving himself too. Like. There's a chance that if he isn't being listened to then he'll threaten to take Garvin and leave with Briar and Aries. Good luck saving Nico with just the three you! And even if you do manage it, good luck keeping them alive without your healer! Bernard is very Chaotic Good and is very much willing to do whatever it takes to minimize damage. Would he actually leave if any of them called his bluff??? He has no idea, because he does care very much about Nico, but he also isn't about to sit back and let this break absolutely everyone. Bernard realizes he holds the best bargaining chip as the Emotional/Healing holder and he is confident enough to use it. - What's also funny about Bernard is he's actually the tallest and beefiest of my T8P characters. Yeah. He does not look like he'd hold the Emotional/Healing power but he does. Edited at July 28, 2024 10:41 PM by Overthink101

Fun, fun And sad too Akira's 18 at this point (very freshly out of their relationship with Ava and Howard and less than a year out of the home, so fun things all around), and I haven't decided for Ingall, Nico, and Briar yet. Though probably shortly after Maya's death for Ingall and shortly after Moraine's death for Briar. No idea for Nico yet, probably 16 though. - The angst is heavy, I love it, and feel so bad for Garvin :( - Oooo, I'd love to see that! :D - I love that chaos, honestly XD Though, I do have to ask- Would anything change if I mentioned that the reason Briar is kicked out is because it's genuinely believed that they took part in kidnapping/handing Nico over? See, Ingall reports to Akira panicked because he overheard Briar talking to an "enemy" (Lux, who, because of his race, which is literally the main concern at the moment, is seen as an enemy at the time, no one but Briar has any evidence that they're not a threat), and, yes, they were discussing Nico being taken captive. This is all Ingall heard before running off. What he reports is that he overheard Briar talking to an enemy about Nico being taken captive, the blanks fill themselves in. At that point, Akira will tell someone to go look for Nico and Nico will be reported missing. Suspicious, right? And... Well, I'm just gonna throw in that Briar will be being secretive about several things at that point as well (it's possible they'll have talked to Aries about some of these things, depending on how far their relationship is at the moment, but even Aries probably won't know the full scope of things, for reasons-), so it'll be fully believable that Briar's going behind everyone's backs. Plus Akira has a predetermined bias against Briar that'll likely be explained in the first post. So... - Oh, total side notes, but I had two thoughts 1) I kinda fucking love that the polycule is falling apart but then we just have Aries and Briar, in literally every world, just being their perfect little happy relationship. It's honestly amazing XD 2) I just thought it'd be fun to mention that... Uh... The Time Elder is, like... Not a good person. So now Akira has yet another abusive parental figure in their life that they're not even processing as abusive. And the Time Elder has to be more personal and hands on than any other Elder just because of the difficulty of the power, so that's a fun little side arc that'll be going on too, haha

Haha, very fun, very fun - So much angst indeed, Garvin is very not having a good time - Honestly... Probably not. Garvin is reacting merely to the suggestion of kicking Briar out. His mind isn't thinking about any of the context. All it hears is 'Oh, okay, so, these are people I trust and thought couldn't kick me out because, you know, team and all, but apparently getting kicked out is in fact a possibility' It literally doesn't have to do with Briar at all. Garvin's just realizing that getting kicked out is actually a possibility and something he has to worry about. He hadn't thought it was until right then. So his reaction stays the same. Bernard is the harder one to say for sure because, okay, yeah, that sounds pretty bad. But he literally wouldn't be jumping into the argument until Garvin's reaction because, oh shit, he's obviously just been triggered. This is a bad idea. Kicking Briar out is a bad idea. And this is because Bernard is very much going to be quickly basically adopting Garvin as his little brother. Like. Assuming Akira picks them up in the same order as Horatio- Garvin is in an alleyway with absolutely nothing being brought with him but the clothes he's wearing and whatever's in his pockets and, at least to Bernard, it is obvious that he's a child living on the streets. So. Uh. Yeah. Bernard literally only jumps into the argument because he quickly puts two and two together and realizes that- Yeah, okay, kicking someone out in front of Garvin, who the group met while he was starving on the streets, is obviously not a good idea. Bernard isn't trying to keep them from kicking Briar out because he trusts Briar or because he doesn't think Briar is connected to Nico's disappearance/kidnapping. He's trying to keep them from kicking Briar out because he is seeing that the mere suggestion of it is pulling Garvin apart at the seams. And he knows that he at least needs time to be able to get Garvin to understand the context instead of his mind just grabbing that one little thread and pulling at it. So... Honestly. Kind of doubt his reaction would change either. - Aries and Briar are just the best :D and Ooooo, very fun side arc!

Okay, wait, actually- Kind of thinking about making Garvin 17 and turning 18 because then there's a chance we'll be meeting Ayaz or Melzar and ooooh boyyyy, either of them would be crazy to meet. It'd probably be Ayaz, given that he met Ayaz while 17 and then during that July where he turns 18, some stuff happened/started happening. Meanwhile Melzar was closer to the end of 18. So. Yeah. Probably Ayaz. Who is honestly the worse one of the two. Plus, then his reaction may not be as terrible. Because Levy would've made the offer of Garvin always having the option of crashing with him at his apartment. You'd be surprised how much having someone to fall back on helps. Especially someone who isn't too obviously caring. Edited at July 29, 2024 08:41 AM by Overthink101

Ah, okay, yeah, that makes sense! Unfortunately, we kinda need Briar to be kicked out, so Well, Garvin's gonna have to suffer, lmao Though we could figure out a way to get Garvin out of the room if that helps anything? Or, you know, we can just have Akira completely undermining Bernard due to a multitude of things, which might happen anyway in that moment, honestly- - They are the best, I love them :) - Oooo, that all sound fun!

It wouldn't help, honestly Because his mind doesn't have the context, all he's hearing as soon as he finds out Briar and Aries got kicked out is that getting kicked out is actually a possibility that he has to worry about. Haha, fun, fun, undermine the Emotional/Healing holder while he's threatening to leave too, that's such a good idea. He might actually would then. Thinking it'd be the push needed to get the other three to see reason and all. 'You really think I'm bluffing? Well, I was, but now I'm not. Buh-bye.' That sort of thing. - Yeahhh If I make Garvin literally just a year older then the reactions are going to be a bit better. He'd still start freaking out at the possibility of getting kicked out but this time he'd actually have something to combat it with. That, being, well. Levy. Who, you know, has offered to let him crash at his apartment if he ever needs to. More importantly for the breakdown though, is that Devery is literally this guy who just doesn't seem to care about him whatsoever but has still made that offer. Who he has taken up that offer a grand total of once, at least at the start of the RP, and Devery has just made it clear that, yeah, he can't stay forever but he can crash there if he needs to for like, a month or a month a half at tops, that he could show up once a month and crash there, that the offer isn't a one time use. So. He has a better shot at keeping himself from falling apart completely at the idea of being kicked out. He'd likely end up staying. Though, as he isn't one to really like kicking people out still, even if they may be traitors, he'd probably see Briar and Aries off relatively nicely. Like. Giving them some tips he knows for survival, (if they're getting to pack) helping them know what's probably best to pack, basically- He's trying to stay on good terms with them both. Still using nicknames, maybe even an explanation that he totally would be going with them but, one, he doesn't know how helpful he'd actually be and he wouldn't want to just be another mouth to feed. Two, he really doesn't want to leave Nico alone with just Bernard to help them. And three, he's had his fair share of surviving life on the streets and is not quite ready to go back to it. As for once they're actually gone... Two different ways it could go. If it's somehow possible, he'd be falling back onto addiction pretty quickly, pretty hard. He is not fully there at any given point and he is totally just ignoring as everyone falls apart. Once Nico gets back, he'd fall even harder onto his addictions while also trying to be there for Nico. Just. Constantly under the influence of something, offering Nico to join, but also just trying to be as good of a friend as he can be for Nico. While also still ignorinng everything going on with himself and the others. If he couldn't fall back onto addiction... Hard to say really. He'd probably isolate a good bit too, ignoring everything going on and just overall being pretty distant. Not listening to anyone about anything. Only time he ever talks to anyone is to start an argument and push buttons. Up until Nico gets back, and then he's trying to help them. Still ignoring everything going on with everyone else. But definitely trying to help Nico. Most hilarious would actually be when they're trying to get Briar and Aries back though because Garvin would be totally against it. But solely in the way of 'I wouldn't recommend y'all comin' back, these people fuckin' suck. Yer better off not dealin' wit 'em. In fact, Pavo, Ursa, pack yer bags, we leavin' too. See y'all later.'

Fairrr, lmaoo Though, to be honest, Akira would be the only one of mine that would dare undermine Bernard. The second Bernard threatens to leave, Ingall would be like "Okay, look, I'm sorry, we need to get rid of Briar, but we can't risk losing our healer, Akira! Not while Nico's still out there!" Not that that'd probably do much for Akira, but then Gall would just turn to beg Bernard to stay until they get Nico back. Like, he knows there's no chance of swaying Akira at that point, Briar and Aries are already gone in their mind, but Nico's the most important thing at the moment. Which is somewhat ironic considering how fast Ingall pulls away after Nico is back and in recovery, but, you know, trauma and shit- - Ooo, I kinda love that, honestly Helpful but still angsty Garvin And, for the record, with the magic cups, Garvin would at least have plenty of alcohol, lmaooo Nico would be so grateful though too

The funniest thing is that Ingall begging him not to leave would be ignored in favor of staring down Akira because he's already set down his terms and either they accept his terms or he leaves. He's not about to stand down. They have their ultimatum. Either they kick four people out, including their Emotional/Healing holder, or they wait to kick Briar and Aries out long enough for him to get Garvin stable, who is having a full on dissociative panic attack. Those are the choices. And Bernard really doesn't want to have to leave when Nico needs him but he's already said it and he's going to stick by his word. He isn't even asking that they don't kick Briar and Aries out. He's just asking that they want until he can calm down Garvin and explain the context, the situation, the fact that no one else will ever be kicked out. That he won't ever be kicked out. That's all he's asking. That's his one fucking term to get him to stay. And if Akira doesn't want to give him, what, three hours to get Garvin stable then maybe everyone is better off leaving anyways. He'll convince Briar and Aries that 'Fuck Akira, we'll save Nico ourselves without those three. The physical holder, the judgment holder, the elemental holder, and the healing holder totally have a better shot at it than the other three on their own anyways.' So... Sorry Ingall, but Bernard has made up his mind. - Incredibly angsty. Great, great, if nothing else, you'd get Garvin absolutely shitfaced constantly. He is never sober. Just constantly getting drunk. I said he'd try to help, as for how helpful he'd actually be? Who knows. He's trying but also probably kind of hard to do so while near constantly, at least close to, blackout drunk. At the least. If he doesn't have access to even more shit. Like, yeah, he's trying to help, but he's also basically one inch away from an overdose or alcohol poisoning at all times. So. Probably failing at being helpful. Like, he's being super self-destructive while still trying to help. He's making jokes, telling stories, listening if Nico wants to talk, providing distractions, offering drugs- But he's also trailing off in the middle of sentences, only hearing about half of what's being said, only catching about half of what's going on around him, throwing up, making jokes at his own expense, dissociating, downplaying everything and everyone around him other than Nico, probably still accidentally downplaying Nico at times only to immediately realize it (or realize it hours later) and apologize, he's literally offering Nico drugs like 'I know what'll fix everythin', fuckin' heroin or cocaine or, fuck, ya want sum ecstasy? Think I might got sum, uhhhh, fuck- Sum LSD lyin' 'round 'ere... Or like.. Shit. Whateva ya find, ya can 'ave, sumthin' 'round'll help.' Or, you know, just alcohol and cigarettes if that's all he's got. He's trying but all of his coping strategies/skills are absolutely terrible. So who knows how much help he'll actually be. - Also, my brain has decided to start thinking about what all would change if there had been more people in the Repetitive Nicknames Gang (TM) of AFCS. So now I kind of want to do a RP that follows the Repetitive Nicknames Gang (TM) and I just finished all of their playlistsss. As in Jusepe, Kody, Lucia, Garvin, and even Giles' playlists. It'd be called Gigi's Rules because... Yeah. Why not. Might as well. Kind of helps at the implication that it's more of a game to him and also is a sort of homage to the idea of House Rules.
