I was thinking about this and- Once Garvin finds out about memes, it's game over for everyone he's capable to send memes to. The polyship gets odd youtube links to what they think is just an innocent meme but is actually rickroll. He figures out how to play rickroll and careless whisper on the banjo once he has it back. He's constantly sending nonsensical memes. Constantly. The amount of autistic star wars memes he sends is insane.

Lmaoooo Him and Nico together are going to be a nightmare They'll both just constantly send terrible memes and rickrolls back and forth XD Akira will humor it and occasionally share their own memes while Ingall goes back and forth between being amused and being so utterly done with the fact that his phone is blowing up, lmaooo

Revan mutes them so quickly, turns off notifications and everything for the two. At which point Garvin learns about spamming. Garvin meanwhile doesn't actually use the phone for like, a long time at first. He's so incredibly confused by it. Especially when they actually put their contact information in. The last time he had a phone was with the sketchy gang/mafia and it'd been a burner phone where they didn't actually save contact information. When he does actually start using it, it's very minimally. It's a lot of reading and spelling that he doesn't actually know all that well. Mostly he searches things up whenever there's a question. If he can spell it. And he like, doesn't download apps at all. He just has whatever was on there by default. It takes a long time before he starts downloading other apps and actually using the phone. And then it takes a bit longer than that for him to start sending all the memes. Will say, Garvin's a way bigger fan of audio messages than texts. Even when he does learn how to read, audio messages are just easier. So unless it's a meme or link, most of his messages are going to be audio. He cannot type for the life of him. He constantly mistypes. Autocorrect has to stay on for him because otherwise they'd never get a properly spelled message from him. This terrible typing is only made worse whenever he's tired or panicked or under the influence. Not even autocorrect can help at that point. He reacts to every single meme sent to him though. The biggest issue with him comes with him not remembering passwords and whatnot. Like, gets to the point where he can't open his phone because he can't remember what he made the password/passcode and he had never gotten around to setting up the fancier ways of unlocking it.

Yessss That is exactly how that would go Garvin solely speaks in audio messages and memes whenever texting. Revan's response to Akira's question would be- "If you need me then you can call me."

It's adorable and hilarious- Ingall and Revan must be so annoyed haha Now enjoy Snap Out Of It! - Song: Snap Out Of It by Arctic Monkeys. (With some slight adjustments to the lyrics to avoid as much repeating and make it more accurate to characters in certain places) Characters: Garvin, Lucia, and Giles. Context: Just some more repetitive nickname gang lore haha. A little reminder that when Kody and Jusepe were both still part of the group, Garvin and Giles were the only ones that talked to Lucia regularly. Garvin kind of talked to everyone regularly. Same with Giles, though he mostly spoke to Jusepe and Garvin. Kody mostly spoke to Jusepe, Jusepe mostly spoke to Giles and Kody, and Lucia mostly spoke to Garvin. *~*~*~* *A bit before Kody got kicked out, with the group leaving the city they’d been in that week.* Lucia, trying to start a conversation with Garvin, almost like a little check-in kind of thing; “What’s been happening in your world? What have you been up to?” Lucia, trying to prompt him when she doesn’t get an answer, at first teasing before realizing what it actually probably was and deciding to at least try and help; “I heard that you fell in love— Or near enough… I gotta tell you the truth.. I wanna grab both your shoulders and shake, buddy- Snap out of it.” Garvin, almost half amused, echoing; “Snap out of it..” Garvin, looking over at her and changing the subject, referring to her mother’s house/her childhood home; “I get the feeling that you left it too late, but buddy, snap out of it.” Lucia, smiling, nodding, and echoing; “Snap out of it.” Giles, coming over to them and joining the conversation, the watch referring to life, basically, and the lady singing referring to the different ways the group makes money/the arguments they have eventually tend to lead to someone getting kicked out; “If that watch don’t continue to swing or the fat lady fancies having a sing, I’ll be here waiting ever so patiently for you to snap out of it.” *Skipping ahead to a time after Kody got kicked out and a bit before Jusepe gets kicked out. They’re leaving the city they’d been in that week.* Garvin, referring to Kody, trying to rationalize them leaving him, and talking to Lucia; “Forever isn’t for everyone… Is forever for you?” Garvin, also to Lucia, just some hints at the culture(?) of the repetitive nickname gang, haha; “It sounds like settling down is giving up.. But it don’t sound much like you, girl.” Garvin, noticing Lucia hadn’t been talking like she normally does; “I wanna grab both your shoulders and shake, buddy- Snap out of it.” Lucia, looking over, echoing and then trailing off into a different topic, referring to her mother’s house/her childhood home in an attempt at comfort; “Snap out of it.. I get the feeling that I left it too late, but buddy, snap out of it.” Garvin, grinning, echoing; “Snap out of it.” Giles, once again coming over to them and joining the conversation, the watch referring to life, basically, and the lady singing referring to the different ways the group makes money/the arguments they have eventually tend to lead to someone getting kicked out; “If that watch don’t continue to swing or the fat lady fancies having a sing, I’ll be here waiting ever so patiently for you to snap out of it.” *Skipping way ahead now, after Jusepe got kicked out and while Giles is suggesting that they kick out Lucia.* Giles, watching Lucia fall into worse and worse habits; “Under a spell, you’re hypnotized… Darling, how could you be so blind?” Garvin, also watching, hoping they won’t have to kick her out; “Snap out of it…” *And now a little bit later when they kick her out.* Giles, going over to Lucia, and basically starting the process of kicking her out; “Under a spell, you’re hypnotized…” Garvin, losing hope and accepting that they’re kicking her out; “Snap out of it..” Giles and Garvin, kicking her out, more or less, basically; “Darling, how could you be so blind?” *And now we skip ahead a bit to while it’s just Giles and Garvin. They’re leaving a new city they’d been in. I would like to mention that Giles is a lot more observant than Lucia. And just very manipulative.* Giles, being much more touchy than before, one arm slung around Garvin, grinning, and noticing that Garvin seems out of it; “I wanna grab both your shoulders and shake, baby, snap out of it.” Garvin, definitely not doing any better, but trying not to let that show, you know, as one does; “Snap out of it…” Garvin, mostly to himself, referring to the group; “I get the feeling that they left it too late, but buddy, snap out of it..” Giles, catching it and echoing almost mockingly; “Snap out of it.” Giles and Garvin, with varying levels of amusement, the watch still referring to life, basically, and the lady singing still referring to the different ways the group makes money/the arguments they have eventually tend to lead to someone getting kicked out; “If that watch don’t continue to swing or the fat lady fancies having a sing, I’ll be here waiting ever so patiently for you to snap out of it.”
