wow, i certainly came home at a convenient time. hello and welcome to the discussion thread! ^^ a bit barebones, but we'll get somewhere. soon.
now that we've got everyone for sure, does anybody have any starting ideas or thoughts for character shit like freedom suggested? no need to push too hard for thoughts since i can think of something to start with otherwise, but i'd like to hear what you lot think! since we literally know jack shit they could start out any way, so they very well COULD not know each other or they could just as easily be siblings like the example given. who knows, who knows. |

we didn't choose one! i think that there was like. an unspoken agreement that we were just going to make one from scratch, unless you lot wanted to pick one and i just forgot to ask? |

It seemed to me that we were going to make one from scratch, yes. As for relationships, if we have a more driven and sort of adventure-themed plot I think it would be fine that none of our characters know each other beforehand. But it can be fun for characters to already know each other, so if y'all have a preference, do tell. I like both. |

Oh okay, I was just wondering. I didn't know if we were picking one or doing one from scratch - either works for me, I was just curious. But I was thinking, something possibly sci-fi? Like some young adults are sent on a mission to negotiate peace with a humanoid or fantastical alien race, but something goes wrong when possibly the ruler of said nation is found dead and the humans are blamed, but only one of the Royal Family agrees the humans didn't do it? |

on a personal level, i'm not much of a sci-fi guy, unfortunately. aliens and sapient species development are just too much for me. and freedom, i think it would be fun to have at least a few characters know each other even if not all of them do! if it is just random people banded together, it may be fun to have at least one familial or platonic best friend pair grouped in. i don't think i wrote down anywhere that i'm not into sci-fi, so sorry about that, spellbound :') |

Alright, sounds great. It's definitely more fu sometimes when people know each other beforehand. As a matter of fact, the only other RP I have going now is sci-fi, so it would be nice to have a little variety for me. Sorry, Spellsy. But out of the other topics you mentioned liking, I think my top ones are medieval, pirates, supernatural, or fantasy. |
