i was thinking of something with a storm and it clicked. I feel a lot better now that we figured something out

obvously they would have to deal with surviving and predators and finding food and such, plenty of room for arguments and romance XD

Yess exactly!! I like it. Perhaps other people on that island too later on...like a civilization of some sort that they don't discover until later
