hey I have a funny story about that.

i was FaceTimeing my friend and she was cooking something. She holds up this little white bulb thing and was like "do you think this is garlic because I need garlic and my fridge is mostly empty-" and I was like "yeah try it it looks garlic-y" and she she goes to, y'know, crush it under her palm because that's how you separate garlic from the rest of the clove and I'm like "wouldn't it be funny if you just crushed an onion" and turns out she did, in fact, just crush a shallot
