Stupid question but what's the difference between the "top 10 alliance member" award and "top 10 alliance member this week" award?

I got the "top 10 this week" like 2 years ago so i was surprised when i got online this morning to see that i recieved just the generic top 10.

I got the same thing today. If you go to Gathering, then Alphas, there are two categories for alliances. Top Alliances and Top Alliances This Week. I'm pretty sure you get the award(s) when your alliance is in the top 10 of one of those lists.
