I was wondering if it's OK to search for free art online and use it for a pack avatar, and if you can also use pictures of wolves or animals. Also, I'm guessing it's probably a no, but if a piece of art has somebody's signature on it, is it OK to use it?

If you find a place packed with Free avatars, that doesn't mean they are stock. Just because there is a signature on it doesn't mean you can use it. You MUST ask permission from the Original artist and give proof of it to the WP mods. There are tons of art shops and art help posts around the forum. Just save up! Also, I'm no mod. I just wanted to help. (If that's okay) And yes, If you find Stock pictures of dogs or wolves on DA it's free to use.
