I have a wolf named Shadewing that I absolutely adore, although she is 17 and will probably pass soon. She has a grayscale coat, and ive been trying to breed her with other males with grayscales, so I can have a pup that looks similar to her, but no luck. How would I breed her to do this? Or do I just have to breed her with grayscales and hope for the best? |

You just have to breed her with greyscales and hope for the best. It also depends on the family tree. If the parents of the wolves weren't greyscale then the pups are probably getting their grand parents genes so it depends on family tree as well. |

The pups coats have nothing to do with the grandparents. Pups can only inherit their parents markings, so I suppose the pups would only have markings that the grandparents had, but they won't inherit markings and colors from their grandparents that the parents don't have.
If you want a pup that looks similar to the mother, try breeding her to a wolf that has similar markings and color to her :) |
