I could se that beeing a problem, i saw a lot how even service dogs were turned away from some places even if the law says they can go everywhere

A pony would be even harder to take to some places but might be a better choice to help with mobility since they can carry more weight

Yeah. I've never seen a service horse in person but my mom has seen at least two, though one was probably a therapy horse because the handler had a vest on that said therapy.

It really is. If I had a service pony it would be for mobility assistance and to help me on my blind side. Possibly other things if my health continues to decline.. but I don't know what else it would be used for at this time.
The only thing I really would not like would be having to explain to almost every place I would take it that it was a legal service animal and would probably in many cases have to provide the number to the department of disabilities so they could explain the laws ^^'

I don't really know about laws but i know i was reading about a horse beeing a service animal XD

But the fact that only dogs and horses can legally be service animals is interesting. Having a horse would be amazing and all but it can't live inside the house like a dog can. It would depend on what kind of service you'd need

@Amy
Yeah. In the united states they(horses) are the only animal, aside from dogs, that can legally be used as a service animal.
Emotional support pets/animals are different and can be any domesticated animal. But there's only two animals that are legal services animals.

I honestly find the laws for services dogs/horses and emotional support pets really fascinating and interesting. Not many people are aware of the laws to do with emotional support pets and services animals, at least most people I have met don't know about the laws being actual laws

That's awesome.
I honestly think it would be pretty cool to one day personally own a service horse(pony) instead of service dog. But because of where I live and a number of other reasons, it's pretty unlikely that it would happen.

In a realm where the veil between mortal lands and the fae courts is as thin as the edge of a blade, alliances are forged not with trust, but with necessity. A fragile peace binds two rival kingdoms: the mortal empire of Caeloria and the enigmatic fae domain of Lunareth. This truce rests upon a single, precarious thread—the marriage of a what appears to be a mortal princess to a fae prince.

But peace is a commodity few wish to see endure. On the eve of the bride’s arrival to the fae court, her caravan is ambushed under the eerie glow of a blood moon. Whispers of rebellion swirl in the shadows, as courtly intrigue and ancient grudges threaten to unravel the accord. The bride, spirited away by unknown hands, becomes a pawn in a dangerous game of power, magic, and deceit.

Now, the stage is set. Nobles, warriors, spies, and outcasts alike scramble to uncover the truth:

  • Who orchestrated the bride’s abduction?
  • What dark forces conspire to reignite the flames of war?
  • And where do the loyalties of each court truly lie?

In this web of secrets, every choice tightens the chains binding both kingdoms, until they risk shattering under the weight of chaos. Will you play your part to mend the fragile balance, or will you seize this chance to shape the world in your image?

The lines between loyalty and ambition blur, and the dance of courts begins.

The Fae Mate Bond

In the realm of the fae, a mate bond is a powerful, mystical connection between two individuals that transcends the boundaries of mere affection or attraction. It is a bond woven into the very fabric of their being, often seen as a gift—or a curse—from the ancient forces that govern the fae world. While rare, the mate bond holds significant importance in fae society, and its manifestation is unique to each court.

Key Traits of the Mate Bond

  1. Soul Recognition: A mate bond is an unspoken but undeniable connection. When two fae meet their mate, they feel an intense pull, described as both exhilarating and terrifying.

  2. Emotional Connection: The bond deepens emotions, making joy more profound and pain sharper when it involves one’s mate.

  3. Physical Awareness: Mates are acutely aware of each other’s presence, even from a distance. This awareness can manifest as a comforting warmth or an aching void.

  4. Strengthened Powers: When mates are in harmony, their magical abilities can amplify, but discord between mates can lead to weakened or chaotic magic.

  5. Breaking the Bond: Breaking a mate bond is exceedingly rare and often requires dark magic or a catastrophic betrayal. Such an event can leave both individuals scarred, physically or emotionally.

Mate Bonds by Court

Day Court

  • Description: The Day Court views the mate bond as a strategic alliance. It is often celebrated publicly, with grand ceremonies symbolizing their belief in the clarity and ambition of a fated connection.

  • Manifestation:

    • The bond often manifests as a golden glow when mates are near each other.

    • Mates in the Day Court experience heightened confidence and sharper intuition.

  • Cultural Attitudes: While some may see it as a personal gift, others use it to solidify political power and influence.

Night Court

  • Description: For the Night Court, the mate bond is an enigmatic and private affair, shrouded in secrecy. Mates are seen as protectors of each other’s deepest vulnerabilities.

  • Manifestation:

    • The bond manifests through shared dreams or shadowy marks that appear on their skin when they’re apart for too long.

    • Mates often share an almost telepathic link, able to sense each other’s emotions with precision.

  • Cultural Attitudes: Many Night Court fae are wary of revealing their mate bond, viewing it as a deeply intimate connection to be guarded.

Spring Court

  • Description: In the Spring Court, the mate bond is celebrated as a symbol of growth and renewal. It’s considered a blessing of prosperity and fertility.

  • Manifestation:

    • The bond manifests as a surge of vibrant life around mates—flowers bloom, trees sprout new leaves, and the air feels fresher when they are near.

    • Mates often feel an overwhelming sense of hope and vitality in each other’s presence.

  • Cultural Attitudes: The Spring Court reveres the mate bond as sacred, with many rituals performed to honor it.

Fall Court

  • Description: The Fall Court sees the mate bond as a reflection of change and inevitable cycles, emphasizing both the beauty and sorrow of connection.

  • Manifestation:

    • The bond manifests as shifting colors in the air around the mates, resembling autumn leaves swirling in an unseen breeze.

    • Mates in the Fall Court often gain a heightened sense of wisdom and patience, able to see through lies and deceit.

  • Cultural Attitudes: The Fall Court views the mate bond as bittersweet, a reminder that even the strongest connections must endure change.

High Court

  • Description: In the High Court, the mate bond is viewed with both reverence and caution. It is a mark of destiny, but one that often carries immense responsibility.

  • Manifestation:

    • The bond often manifests as a faint, radiant aura that pulses softly when mates touch or stand together.

    • High Court mates gain the ability to share and wield each other’s magic in perfect unison.

  • Cultural Attitudes: The High Court approaches the mate bond as a duty. Mates are expected to uphold the honor and power of their union, often becoming key figures in courtly affairs.

Conflict and Drama

  1. Cross-Court Mates: A mate bond between individuals from different courts can lead to intense political and personal conflicts, as each court views the bond differently.

  2. Unwanted Mates: Not all fae welcome the mate bond, especially if it disrupts their plans or alliances.

  3. Rejected Bonds: Rarely, a fae may attempt to reject their mate bond, leading to emotional and magical instability.

  4. Fated but Forbidden: If mates are already pledged to another or if their union would destabilize court politics, the bond can become a source of intrigue and rebellion.

A fragile peace binds two rival kingdoms: the mortal empire of Caeloria and the enigmatic fae domain of Lunareth. This truce rests upon a single, precarious thread—the marriage of a what appears to be a mortal princess to a fae prince.

Caeloria lies within a heavily wooded area that is backed with mountains and the ocean on the eastern side. The army having been pushed back within the confines of their own stone walls due to the magical abilities of the fae warriors. A mixture of the Day and Spring court warriors littered the shadows of the trees in various shapes and creatures. It wasn't until the proposition from High King Lucerio to sign a treaty between the humans and fae with a marriage as the Night Court had begun amassing and attacking the Day Court while most of their warriors were away. A truce that would benefit both fae and humans.

The King of Caeloria received the request and asked for all of his children to meet him within his quarters. The four children were soon standing across from the weathered looking man that sat at his desk staring at the scroll in front of him. "I fear that it is time for one of you my lovely daughters to be the queen to the Day Court Prince. This isn't an easy decision but any help we can get to avoid having fae come in and take over will be for the greater good."

Three sets of eyes locked onto the man hearing him speak to the women. They would look between each other then push forward the one that had always been a bit of an outcast. Her own magical ability questioned by many in the court, so she was forced to be hidden away and taught the rules of a regular guard.

"I guess you have made your decisions...But maybe it is for the best since she also shows prowess with magic. It is final and the trip will begin in two days time."
