Once Sky turned on a show he had been watching, he got comfy in his bed again. His room was dark, with only the TV glow and some light peeking through his curtains. He got about 10 minutes into his show when his phone buzzed. It buzzed continuously, meaning someone was calling him. With a confused look on his face, he picked his phone up. His face dropped, and sheer panic rose in his face. He'd have to actually talk to him, unless, he didn't pick up. He thought it was better than Alex showing up at his house. Sky thought about it, about not picking up, it would be easy to say he was asleep and had turned off his notifications. After a few seconds of hesitation, he decided to answer, regretting it as soon as he pressed the answer button. "What's up." Sky said as he brought his phone up to his ear. (ahhh sorry its shorttt)

Careless, and reckless. That's what he was being. Alex was aware of that, and yet he couldn't bring himself to do the responsible thing and head back to school now. Perhaps he'd just make the first bell and save himself from his parents learning that he'd been late to school. His mother undoubtedly would be suspicious or concerned considering she knew how early it had been when he'd left the house. None of that really crossed his mind though, save for a few seconds but he'd swiftly pushed it aside. He'd deal with the consequences later, and if he thought about it in terms of regret, he was damn sure he'd regret not trying to see and speak with Skylar than he would getting a scolding or some other form of punishment from his parents. ` Taking a small step back from the door, Alex let his gaze wander towards the windows as he listened to the call ringing. After several moments he feared that Skylar wouldn't pick up, and while the first thought that popped into his head with that concern was the possibility of Skylar avoiding him, Alex shoved it aside. It would have been entirely possible for him to have fallen back asleep. After all, it had been early when they had last messaged... all thoughts seemed to stop when he heard the sound of the call being answered and then the wonderful sound of Skylar's voice. His heart seemed to skip a beat but Alex did his best to ignore it. "Hey... are you home?" He asked though he was fairly sure he knew the answer to that question. ((It's all good!! ^^))

Skylar's heart began to speed up a bit, as he nervously waited for Alex to answer. "Ya, I'm home, why?" Sky answered his tone without much emotion. Sky then began to think, if Alex asked that, maybe he wanted to see him. Why else would Alex ask a question like that? Skylar sat up and grabbed his controller to pause his show so he could hear Alex once he spoke. The anxiousness he was feeling when he first woke up was back, just a little less intense. Surely Alex was either going to ask why he wasn't at school, or something that had to do with the day before. Please let it be about school. Sky squeezed his eyes shut, waiting anxiously to hear Alex's voice again. Being Anxious, he moved to sit at the edge of his bed, his feet hanging off and touching the ground.

Alex could feel his nerves rising, churning in his stomach to make him feel as though he were going to be sick. He ignored it though, instead focusing on the sound of Skylar's voice as he answered his question, and the rhythm of his rapidly beating heart. "Great." He responded before throwing a glance toward one of the windows. "Can you... um... come to do the door then?" He asked. As he waited for a response he chewed at his bottom lip, anxious and nervous for the answer. Perhaps it hadn't been the best idea to simply show up... Sure it felt as though the act had resulted in Skylar answering the phone but there really wasn't any guarantee that he'd actually answer the door. If he'd taken so long to answer the phone, and seemed so... emotionless then perhaps he hadn't wanted to hear or see from him. Maybe he'd really thought better of or regretted asking him out and if that were the case, Alex was certain he'd be both incredibly embarrassed and humiliated for putting in as much thought and effort as he had. ((Sorry this post is so short and bad!! I'm on my phone at the moment...>.>))

Skylar listened as Alex spoke, his heart dropping at the question Alex asked. He felt his heart begin to beat rapidly. Alex was there, at his house. Skylar took a minute to answer, in shock but also trembling with anxiety. "Yeah." Sky answered, hanging up quickly. He set his phone down, running his hands through his hair. He couldn't just ignore him, that was plain rude. Sky rose to his feet, and made his way to the front door. He walked quietly, and slowly, trying to give himself more time to calm down. He felt nausea creep up on him, so he took a couple of deep breathes as he stood at his front door. What is he doing here!? Once Sky felt ready enough he reached for the door knob, unlocking it before opening it. His heart was still beating pretty fast, but he managed to slow it down a bit. He wanted to say, "what do you want" but it would have sounded rude, so he decided to stay silent and wait until Alex spoke.

The silence that followed his question was deafening and each second that ticked by only seemed to increase the anxiety currently coursing through Alex's very being. After nearly a minute had passed Alex pulled the phone from his ear momentarily to make sure he was still in a call, which he appeared to be. Bringing the phone to his ear he parted his lips, ready to call Skylar's name inquisitively when he heard his answer. It was simple and followed swiftly by the call being ended. Letting out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding, Alex returned his phone to his pocket and let his blue hues rest on the door as he waited for it to be opened. Again, ages seemed to pass before he heard the sound of the lock clicking open, saw the door open, and found his gaze meeting Sky's own. For several seconds he was silent, a sudden rush of panic making him at a loss for words. Swallowing thickly and forcing the tension from his shoulders, Alex let his gaze remain on Skylar's own. "Yesterday... did you mean it?" He asked, referring to the moment Skylar had confessed he wanted him to be his boyfriend.

Sky's gaze met Alex's, and it made him question every single decision he's made in the last 24 hours. Should he have told him to forget it, or should he have even asked him out? Should they have even gone on the date? Even though he questioned it now, he didn't regret it, any of it. He enjoyed every moment of yesterday. Skylar looked down when Alex asked if he meant it, he knew the answer but he was scared of getting hurt. "Yes, but I told you to forget it." Skylar said, raising his head back up and meeting Alex's gaze once again. He leaned against the doorway and continued to look at Alex. He came to his house, so he clearly had more to say. Sky didn't ask for him to come over, so Sky didn't have much to say.

Alex fought the urge to bite and chew at his lip, anxiety, uncertainty, and nervousness all making it difficult to do so. Still, he kept his face straight and his gaze on Skylar. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't scared of hearing the answer and so when it came he nearly flinched. Honestly, he'd worked himself into believing or at the very least, expecting Skylar to have either not meant it or regretted it. So, hearing him say that he had, indeed, meant it, Alex felt his heart leap clear into his throat. "Then..." He started, finding his throat tight with emotions and the words he wanted to say evading him. Looking down he furrowed his brow and cleared his throat. "If you meant it then why do you want me to forget it?" He asked before shaking his head. "Even if you tell me too, I can't, Skylar." He said before lifting his gaze to meet Sky's own once more. "I don't want to forget it, because I want that relationship, I want you." He managed, relieved that his voice wasn't nearly as tight nor trembling as he feared it might have been.

Skylar's eyes widened with surprise when he heard the words come out of Alex's mouth. Does he really want me? Skylar's eyes light up a little, and a small smile formed on his face. "Really." Sky said, looking down for a moment, blush had formed on his face, and he wanted to hide it. After a few moments, he looked back up. "I guess I was just scared that you would reject me." Skylar confessed, not believing that he was actually saying that out loud. He straightened himself as he stopped leaning on the doorway. He didn't meet his eyes, instead, he took in how Alex looked standing in front of him. All of the mixed feelings Sky had been feeling this morning and last night were gone. It felt as if bricks had been weighing down on his shoulders and they had just been lifted. "I thought if we had just forgotten about it then I wouldn't possibly get hurt. I didn't want to know if you were going to say no." Sky managed to spit out, looking back down again. (this is so poorly written oh my)

It was immediately clear to Alex that his words had surprised Skylar, the way his eyes widened and then seemed to light up told him as much. At the small smile he was offered, he returned it with one of his own and gave a nod. "Really." He said softly. Falling silent he listened as Skylar confessed his fears of being rejected and explained why he'd suggested they just forget about it. Hearing the reason behind such words eased the pain that they had originally inflicted. "I get that." He said softly, and he did. He understood fully where Skylar was coming from. His silence yesterday, and their brief conversation earlier, it was no wonder that Skylar worried he'd reject him. Not to mention the fact that Alex was still hiding who he was from the world, and getting into a relationship would undoubtedly bring that tightly held secret closer to the light. "I'll be honest... I wasn't sure how to answer until this morning." He admitted, his voice soft and his gaze still resting on the male before him. ((It was not!!))
