Mayhem's head whipped around, she blinked a few times. The dog laid her head back down, and closed her eyes. The next time she awoke, Mayhem wasnt hallucinating. She grumbled, yawning.

River was on his side, out cold. He worked himself trying to help warm Mayhem up. When he heared the yawn, his eyes opened and looked towards the sound " Mayhem!" he said sitting up and sat beside her " I thought you were never gonna make it" he nuzzle dher lovingly before licking her face " Ash got some food for you while you were sick."

"What happened?" Mayhem asked. She stretched out her legs and rolled over, staring out into to now snowy ground. "Its snowing!" The dog yipped, like a puppy telling a story to its siblings. Mayhem scrambled to her feet and ran out into the snow.

River raced after her " Mayhem, take it easy, you just woke up from beng sick for a few weeks."

He caught her just as she started to slip " Take it easy, Mayhem. And do I have to remind you about never leaving my side?" he said in his Alpha voice " How many times do I have to keep repeating the rules to you?"

Mayhem huffed. "But it's snow! They never let us play in it!" She yipped. "You know I'm never going to listen!" The dig playfully replied.

River growled " What is the rule if you dont listen to me, Mayhem?" he looked at her in the eyes like the Alpha he always was " Tell me or you wont play in the snow"

Mayhem whimpered. Her ears dropped. "the consequences." The dog muttered, sitting down.

" Thats right, Mayhem. Now be a good girl and eat those rabbits Ash got you that are in the den. You need to eat. Then you and I can chill." he nuzzled her before looking at the sun that was out " How about a morning walk with your Alpha?"

"Sure," Mayhem slipped, falling on her belly. She huffed and scrabbled to her paws, holding a wide stance to avoid slipping again.

River chuckled " come on, silly. Lean on me" he said standing up " Ill help you get used to the snow and ice"

This was the beginning of their long lasting friendship, it was slowly heading towards a relationship that would last for years.
