"There's a prey pile near the water." Iris replied. She finished her meal and went to throw the bones away. She walked slowly back to wear she was previously at at sat down, surveying the camp. Many wolves were eating prey or talking. A small group of pups wear playing near the nursery.

I sigh. Metaling slapping my muzzle, I walk to the prey. IDOIT!!! You brainles dumb cactus spine. Of chose she would not respond to desert talk.

Iris yawned it was getting late. Shades of yellow started appear in the sky as the sun slowly lowered over the horizon. Some of the pups and elders in the camp had headed into their dens.

I can see the sky darkening. It's getting very late. I look around for a place to sleep. There's a spot right next to the pond that seems dry enough. And Sandy enough to replicate home. I slowly walk over there with my meal. Laying down, I shift to get comfortable. I finished my food, lay my head down.

Iris yawned and stood up. She slowly walked over to her den, a flat stone angled up against a straighter one. The enterence was covered by grasses. The den was small really only big enough for her any possibly two other squashed in wolves. She took because no one else wanted it and many of the larger dens where close to full. Iris settled down on the carpet of dry grasses, a few feathers and bits of shedded fur. She rested her head on her paws, her ears tilted down slightly. Her tail shifted into a more comfortable position and she closed her eyes.

Slowly, my eyes shut. I yawn and flop to my side. Using my tounge to pick the last bit of meat out of my teeth. Gently, I slip in to sleep.

Iris woke to tendrils of bright light beaming into her den. Slowly she opened her eyes. She sat up. Her brown fur stuck up. Leaves and other debri stuck in patched on her coat. She stood up and shook out her fur, debri fell to the den floor, Iris picked the few leaves that where still stuck with her teeth.
she stretch and slowly walked out of the den. Some other wolves where up. Talking in groups or eating prey still damp from yesterdays storm. A few of the desert wolves where beginning to rise as well.
