Rush looked yawned and shook her fur, the sunlight filtering into the cave she looked around then stretched and walked outside.

After Scout had fought a big trout, he fell asleep on the riverbank. When he woke up, he saw a rabbit and tried to catch it, but ended up running into a tree head first.

Rush, rolled in some dry ferns to try to find her scent from future prey. Soon she spotted a Squirrel in a clearing she cleanly killed it then scraped earth over it to keep it from scavengers while she looked for more.

Feeling defeated, Scout layed in a cave that was a little farther from the river. It was quite and gave him time to think. He had made so many mistakes and he was not the best in his pack. We’re they even looking? Did they care? He whined in distress.

Rush returned to were she had berried the squirrel with a rabbit and a few small mice she dug up the squirrel to carry it all back to her cave. She followed the river a bit then turned off to head to the cave.

She though she smelled a familiar scent but is was hard to tell the the scents of the prey in her nose... She stepped through the hanging vines that grew orver the entrance she dropped her prey and stared in shock at the dog that was in her den "w-what are you doing here!?"

Scout jumped to his feet and said," this is your cave? I'm so sorry. I will leave now." He started to leave the cave...

Rush sat down "well it will be cold out later being almost winter and all.... I guess you could stay for a few days... " she said " not that were friends of anything - I just need help hunting at seeing you dogs get free food I was thinking you could help....? " she rushed

Scout sat and thought about it. He was very hungry, but the wolf had been very mean to him. Was she just using him? Well, she had said he was only good for hunting, which probably meant that she was using him. The thought of food was what finally made him decide to stay.

“ fine, I will stay. But only because I am hungry. Of course we aren’t friends. I mean, we just met and all…” he stuttered.

"Ok, fine" Rush said her voice just hinted with a slight growl "come on!"
