|~| Garvin |~|
Name: Garvin.
Nickname(s): Whatever you can come up with.
Age: 17.
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: Demisexual Panromantic.
Poly/Mono/Both: Both.
Birthday: July 24th. (Cancer-Leo Cusp.)
Blood Type: AB-.
Alignment: Chaotic Good.
Nationality: Scottish-American.
Starting Power: Drunken Inhibition. He subjects nearby people, including himself, to severe dizziness and inhibits their sense of balance, putting them in a state similar to being drunk. Additionally, the more drunk/high/stoned/jaded he is, the larger the range and the stronger his ability is. Other than that though, he has no control over it. He can also subject people, still including himself, into either an extremely calm and lethargic state or an extremely energetic and adrenal state, similar to the different effects drinking/smoking/drugs can have that vary from person to person. The effect is random, and depends on the person, usually if this person does one of the things stated above, it’ll usually have the same effect as what happens whenever they do said thing.

Appearance:
Garvin stands tall at a haunting 6’ 2”, usually hunched to a 6’ 0”. His skin tone is a pale bisque with cool undertones, only adding to how pale he is. He has freckles everywhere on his body, something he hates because it totally ruins his vampire aesthetic.
--
Garvin has a rather oval face shape, meaning he has a smaller forehead and a smaller chin, but the middle of his face is wider, the whole thing on the longer side. His cheeks are rather gaunt and sunken in despite it. Now for the nose, something that Garvin rather likes, he has a hawk shaped nose, meaning it starts off the same way a ‘normal’ nose would, and then goes off the deep end at a slight angle, the tip of it a bit lower than the nasals. His lips are thin in shape, making smirks his most often seen expression.
--
His eyebrows are rather thin. Despite them being thin and rather straight, they have a slight bush to them towards the end which gives them the illusion of an arrow pointing upwards. Finally, his eyes with deep, heavy eye bags underneath them and usually bloodshot,- and whether that be from lack of sleep or his many unhealthy habits, is unclear- are a deepset hooded shape and dark gray in color, which he is glad for. Because if he had green eyes with his freckles and red hair, he’d certainly huff and puff unhappily. His face is framed by unruly and wavy, almost to the point of curly, red hair. Firey in color, though more on the gray side of the red hair spectrum, that is most oftenly messy and in his face, the tips of all of it going just below the ears in length, the back going down to the nape of his neck.
--
His body structure could quickly be described as rectangular, a long torso matched with long legs, everything about him screams lanky. Especially when taking into consideration the fact that this man only weighs in at around 110 lbs, his BMI at 14.12 and being underweight by 30 pounds; looking like skin and bones. Most of the weight he does have is actually muscle though, if it weren't then he'd probably weight even less. He also has a few tattoos of vines that go along across his knuckles.
--
As for scars, he possesses many. From scars on his back and shoulders that look like they’re from whipping, to burn scars on his legs, to cuts on his arms, to a singular one that looks like a slash across his neck. He’s covered in scars. In fact, the only places that don’t seem to be covered in scars are his head and hands. And even his left hand has a small scar of a cut across his palm, and his head has a few hidden within his hair. He also has a few cigarette burn scars on his arms.
--
He usually wears ripped, baggy black jeans that have quite a few patches, a white tank top, a red and black flannel shirt(a bit torn up, a few of the tears having patches though not all), a gray trench coat, fingerless gloves made of/with bandages that go up to his elbow, worn black boots, multiple ear piercings(3 left lobe piercings, 2 right lobe piercings, 1 left helix piercing, 1 right industrial piercing, 1 left and 1 right tragus piercings), a nose piercing(nasallang piercing), and several rings on his fingers. He also carries a flask in an inner pocket of his coat. he also has two mouth piercings a smiley piercing and a right side labrum piercing.
Personality:
To say that Garvin is a generous and modest person would be like trying to say that a sydney funnel-web spider is a harmless spider. Because in all actuality, Garvin is arrogant and prideful, not to mention extremely greedy and selfish. Though this may come from the fact that he grew up on the streets, so to be fair, most of his boasts are well deserved. Regardless, he still has a huge ego that can and will intimidate opponents. Not to mention his sharp tongue that’ll spit insults like there’s no tomorrow.
--
Despite his arrogance and sharp tongue, even despite his greed, when faced with kindness, this man immediately becomes awkward and confused. Stammering and eyes darting with suspicion as though he genuinely believes that no one could possibly be kind without any ulterior motives. He also is quite reckless, often getting into trouble with either authority or fellow people. Many times because of underage drinking or possession of illegal substances. Other times because of his own lies collapsing on himself.
--
If you manage to become his friend, well, first off, good job. And second, you will find quickly that he’d much rather him die than them, though this may also be because of his nihilistic nature. Nevertheless, he’s still a great friend. Someone’s being mean to you? He’ll probably have a few words for them. Would he actually fight someone though... Not unless the other started it or if he was just that mad, he prefers to keep violence as a last resort. Though he’ll gladly carve into the school walls for his friends, quite literally.
--
Food and money is the way to the guy’s heart, apparently. Though he’s a hopeless romantic in all actuality, just the thought of someone that doesn’t care how he is, just the thought of being able to be himself is something he dwells on for long periods of time. And this is probably due to how fake he acts, always loud and arrogant, always showing off and getting into trouble... But never actually being him. The insecure and nihilistic boy that doesn’t understand why no one ever wanted him. This thought process is usually intensified whenever he’s drinking, smoking, or something else of that nature.
--
Despite his obvious ego and nihilistic views, he absolutely fears being forgotten by the people he cares about. Not only does he fear it though, he expects it to happen. If he were to talk to someone about it, he’d talk about it as if he’s accepted the fact. But he’s terrified of it nonetheless, he doesn’t want it to happen, he just knows it most likely will.
--
This is a man that is very hard to catch when he’s sober or without anything else. But if you manage to, you’ll find someone that, for the most part, simply sits and stares at the sky with a solemn look on his face. He’s very realistic when he’s not getting high, drunk, or jaded. Though he is a bit more openly self-deprecating. Either way, sober or not, he’s also someone that tries to trick himself into believing that he’s fine. He’s someone that tries to be an optimist in front of others but always ends up being a pessimist literally anywhere else.
--
One thing that never changes though are his laughs. His self-deprecating one is more of a chuckling huff, giving the feeling of someone who either thinks someone is lying or knows that his addictions aren’t good. He’s got one that only ever comes out when he’s sober too, a half snicker half chuckle in a breathy sigh, one that gives off the aura of someone who’s thinking of a funny joke to themself. When he isn’t sober, his laughs are much more dopey, more like a bark of what used to be a laugh. It gives off the impression of someone that’s either upset or someone that used to think something was funny but doesn’t anymore. The laugh he uses for when people tell a joke is a stifling one, like he’s trying to hold it back because he isn’t sure if it was actually a joke or not.
--
Despite the fact that he lies… A lot… He values honesty from others. Especially from those he considers friends. It doesn’t mean that he’ll be honest with them, but it does mean that if they know something or learn something that concerns him in any way. That’s his business in any way. He doesn’t want to be kept in the dark.
--
He tends to show himself as a confident, talkative prick; as mentioned in the first paragraph. As you probably have realized though, this is false. This is nowhere near to the truth. Now, you may remember me mentioning insecurities. And this is where I shall explain those and how they manifest.
--
The first(and biggest) insecurity is that he is going to die and no one will even notice, and that no one will even care if they do. This is connected to that deep rooted fear that I mentioned earlier. Just like the fear, he’s accepted that he will die someday, and that when that day comes… No one will notice, no one will care, no one will cry or shout or deny. It will happen and there will be no consequences to it at all. He doesn’t let himself think about too much, the only time he really does is if he’s sober.
--
The second insecurity, and one that plays into the first one, is that no one wants his company more so that they want him to do something that needs to be done for them. Something that he’s noticed in the past is that as soon as he’s done with a job or favor or promise, the person immediately drops all contact with him. So trust and actual deep connections with people are not something he has.
--
The third insecurity I’ll be explaining is the last one(Well, it’s not his last one, it’s just the last one I’ll be talking about.) This one is by far the one that affects him the most, in the fact of how he acts. And, truth be told, it’s easier to explain how it affects him than to tell you what it is. When in the company of others, he’s always on something. There’s almost no exception to this, unless the person is new and just stumbled upon him when he wasn’t on something. And even then, depending on how it goes, he may take something out during the interaction. If the person is talkative, if the person is uncomfortable or awkward, if the person is just plain quiet- All of these are reasons why he would take something out during the interaction. And then, any time that person stumbles on him when he’s sober, he’ll immediately take something out again. The reason for this is his insecurity, he knows he seems talkative and loud most of the time, and he knows that that’s what people expect of him. And he thinks that since that’s what people expect of him, that that’s what people want from him whenever they hang out with him or talk to him.

Background: He was put into an orphanage before he was even one, the place was terrible. He ran when he was five. He’s mostly just been living on the streets(not a very fun life; in fact, it sucked. a lot.) since then. He’s mostly just going to camp(which he signed himself up for) for the free food and board. Better than having to choose between the two every time he has enough money to choose.
What They Packed: A few cigarette packs, a lighter, a swiss knife, his vape, his flask, and a change of clothing(literally only one other outfit).

Additional Information: His voice is on the higher but deeper end of the spectrum. It’s gravelly and smooth. It used to be higher pitched and smooth, but given everything, it’s become deeper and gravelly; scratchy. It’s still higher pitched, just more rough sounding. Screechy wouldn’t be a good way to describe it, but if it was the only way to describe how raw his voice is, then it would have to work. His voice sounds very raw, as if he talks with a hoarse, raw, and raspy throat. He does though, so it makes sense.
