I turn in surprise as I hear someone call me. I laughed as she dropped the chicken. "Thanks! Yeah, humans always scare the squirrels" I say, taking a bite. I smiled at Valentina. "How've you been? I saw you talking to some new pack dogs. What was all that about?" I ask her, taking another bite.

I watched her walk away. Sheesh. I turned back to my pack. "Did anything else happen that i should know of?" I asked Rye. I turned my head to see who was awake. Ebony and Sky are awake I think... I turn my gaze towards the food pile. It had shrunk since I last saw it. That was bad. There were a lot of mouths to feed. I sighed. "We're going to have to arrange scavenging parties as soon as possible" I say.

And just like that, the lone dog was gone. "No, Sun Chaser. She just asked to see the alphas," Ebony replied. She wondered where the best places for scavenging would be around here. She usually didn't find much

scavenging because she hated getting her paws dirty, but she could try. She hadn't realized how long it'd been since she'd eaten.

" I know some spots before we moved here and i still know where my hunting ground is around town I just need some dogs to come along to help carry it back " Kai spoken but he looked as worn out as a dog who ran a race Kai looked at the sky then back to the where the others were " But I can do it myself too- " he paw at the ground tired but still had to keep up with the rest of the pack so he could help " Dose anyone want to help hey who knows a human may be nice and give us food "

Ebony backed up a few paces and flattened her ears at Kai's offer. After the way her humans had abondoned her like a used toy, she would never beg one for anything. Then again, she didn't want to be a freeloader, especially when she was new to the pack... maybe she'd go if someone asked her directly.

" He saw how her facal expression changed quickly " You know half of us had homes before " He look up to the sky " I remember mine very clearly, sky was just a bearly a year old at that time when they left but then I found you guys " He nuzzled Ebony to make her feel a bit better about her past " Yeah I may miss it dont we all it was so easier then being fed without looking for it, a warm home, human that give you love every no and then-... " that last part sounded liked he misses that interaction with his old famliy " But not everything last forever-.... but we always wish it does "

"It's fine. I'm fine. Just... bad memories with humans," Ebony replied to Kai's question. She didn't want to get into details, since she didn't know these dogs all that well. She was surprised by Kai's sudden nuzzle, but she didn't pull away. She wasn't too sure why.

" if you ever need to talk im willing to leand an ear" Deep down everyone knew Kai was a kind soul but he had a horrible past but he push that behind him and looks on the bright side " You should get some sleep while you can Ebony as tomorrow holds a better day " Kai Looked tired but never asked for much and did everything in his power to make the pack's lives easier later he would search for water and food but for now he needed a rest he been up since they got here making sure everyone was safe " If anyone ask Ebony i'll be in my sleeping area- " His sleep spot was a constucion pipe it gave him a perfect spot to stay dry and warm-ish he as he headed that way hoping he can get a bit of sleep

Ebony nodded and went to find a good spot to rest. She wasn't feeling terribly sleepy. She didn't know how tomorrow could be better. Life was hard out here, and didn't show many signs of getting easier.

Trixie is back in her alley, she's tired. After crossing the street something hit her and scared her. It was a raccoon that seemed to be running away from something. Seeing him, Trixie got angry and started chasing him all over the sidewalk, but he was very agile, so she gave up. She spent much of the night looking around for something to eat, finding very little, to be honest. Now, even though the night begins to give way to the day, she had very little desire to get up from her place. All because of that stupid nightmare that made her wake up in the middle of the night.
