Natasha DeForest | Werewolf | Female | Medic's Assistant | M: Rowan, Ikaris (briefly), Kline

Letting the door slam shut behind her and the other two shifters, Nat jogged through the backyard towards the treeline looming against. The dark, towering treetops and thick brush made for an imposing silhouette, but Nat and the rest of the pack knew that a rabbit was about the most dangerous thing beyond the trees.

Nat stepped onto the crude dirt path winding through the forest. It was dusty, overgrown, and looked as though it hadn’t been used in years - making it one of Nat’s favorite trails in the woods. She knew she wouldn’t have to worry about crossing paths with anyone from town or even her packmates if she really wanted to be alone.

At the sound of Rowan’s voice, Nat slowed down to keep pace with him. Tendrils of dust rose around their feet as they traveled deeper into the forest. “Yeah, I didn’t think it was a great idea to go through town, especially since Ikaris looked a little rough this morning. Who knows what he got into down there?” She cleared her throat a little awkwardly. “Plus, I like to be able to go for a jog without feeling like I always have to keep my guard up.” She shot a small smile towards Rowan and Kline, hoping that they felt the same way or, at the very least, understood her paranoia.

Carson O'Connor | Medic | Mentions: Ikaris

A snort let Carson when Ikaris said he wouldn't have heard anything. "Well you definately would have felt in your ribs decided to break in half." To be honest, he wasn't expecting to see the bruise as large as it was. "It can be a good thing, you aren't having any difficulty breathing are you? If you are, that could be indicative of swelling within your chest and that would not be good."

When Ikaris said he didn't think it was that bad, Carson leaned back and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "You say that about every injury that you come in to be seen for. I will say this isn't the worst of the injuries that I have seen but Ikaris...I give up." He shook his head trying to hide the chuckle that wanted to come out.

"You may not have asked her but when out in the open like that, it was going to happen. I feel hurt that you trust my untrained sister's opinion over mine. Also the tint to your cheeks tells me that you are not telling me everything but I don't need that gossip. Just was trying to garner information that could be helpful."

He leaned forward and gently pressed a hand to Ikaris' side, making sure to gently manipulate the skin below his hand. "I am not feeling anything out of place or moving when I push. That doesn't mean that there isn't a possible hairline fracture. I suggest taking it easy for at least a week." Would the alpha take it easy, not likely but maybe Tori could be asked to be a sort of babysitter and help keep Ikaris from getting into more trouble.

"I guess I can see why you start fights, but maybe try not to bite off more than you can chew. I also want daily check ins because I want to keep an eye on this bruise. How dark it is and the slight puffiness that I can feel, I don't want to miss a subtle change for the worse. Try to take some time and let the others show what they have been doing."

He pulled his hand away before standing and moved over to the freezer and pulled out a larger ice pack. He also pulled a towell from one of the drawers and wrapped the ice pack in the cloth before handing it to Ikaris. "Also ice your side, 20 minutes on 20 minutes off. I am not afraid to sick Tori on you as your babysitter."

☾ Ikaris V. Ravik ☽
"Kari" "V"
Alpha male 25 Mentions: Carson, Tori

"I can breathe just fine, it just hurts if I take a deep enough breath." Glancing down to his hands Ikaris observed Carson's work, lightly tracing his fingertips across the gauze. At hearing him mention Tori, Ikaris looked to the medic. He didn't have a response to that. He trusted both of them, but in different ways. In that moment his trust for Tori had outweighed the trust he had for Carson. Likely influenced by his feelings towards her. It was instinctual for him to go to her first, though he wasn't going to say that out loud.

"In my defense I haven't had a really bad one since I had my mouth split open." Gesturing to the scar on his mouth he smiled stupidly, "I doubt I could ever top it." That night had been fun for Ikaris, not so much the pack. Apparently seeing the alpha with a bloodied face was far from funny. Keeping himself steady as Carson checked his side out, Ikaris shrugged, "The gossip would be fun though." Upon hearing the medic to tell him to take it easy, he felt himself snicker. There was no way he'd be caught sitting around and doing nothing. Sure, he could paint at night but it had been a minute since he felt the urge to do that.

"It's not like I knew the guy's friend was going to hop in. If I knew that two guys were going to come at me I would've found someone else to irritate. Contrary to your belief, I'm not stupi- okay, not that stupid when I drink." Wait a damn minute, did he just say daily check ins? Shaking his head Kari crossed his arms over his chest, "How many days do you want me to do that for?" Was there a chance he'd skip out on a daily check-in? A hundred percent. Keeping his green gaze on the medic, Ikaris watched as he opened the freezer and took out an ice pack and a towel. With the roll of his eyes, Ikaris uncrossed his arms and took what was being handed to him. Carson's last comment made him snort, "Sure thing, Doc. Thanks." He had no doubt that he'd tell Tori to watch him, though if Kari had to be honest... she would do that even if he didn't ask her.

Ikaris then quickly exited the room, much like high schoolers when their last class of the day had just ended. He wasn't quite sure where he wanted to go. He could go find Tori in the gym, but then he'd be interrupting her. Not only that but if she was with Sydney still he'd hate to show up with gauze on his knuckles. Although she'd probably be satisfied that he got help, Kari was sure it was a bad idea. He made a mental note that if he was to get hurt he needed to not mention it in front of her. So, instead of going to the gym, Ikaris found himself sitting on the couch in the living room with the ice pack resting on his side as he looked at the black TV screen. Tempted to close his eyes and take a nap, Ikaris sighed and pulled his phone out of his pocket, quickly typing a message on it and sending it to Tori.

It's worse than I thought... he wants me to do daily check-ins.

Smiling he sent another message.

It's really not that bad. It's just a gnarly bruise. He does want me to do check-ins though.

Zane | Hunter | M | M: Hope, Rowan(ind), Tori(ind)
Hope smirked slightly as she responded, "Well, I'm not exactly a morning person. I quite literally banged into my door this morning, the only reason why I'm this awake." He chuckled, grinning at her as he said, "Even though i'm not quite a morning person myself, I haven't run into a door. . .yet."
He winked at her before hearing her next reply. "I honestly dunno, I mean, I don't think Rowan sleeping by the firepit and then putting the ash in the sink gained any points for us. Though, didn't she say that she was craving it or something? Nice that she made enough for the whole pack though." Hope said and Zane nodded slightly.

"That was nice of her, I hope she could get those cravings more often," Zane said, a playful smile playing on his face. He looked down, just realizing the height difference...and how difficult it was to keep looking down but he didn't mind. He leaned on the counter before saying in a half serious voice, "Where do you think we should go out hunting today? It's pretty nice outside and maybe a good day for hunting in the meadow perhaps."

He was pretty serious when it cames to his rank, as it was one of the things he loved to do and didn't want to moved to something else. It was easy, however, to be relaxed and playful around Hope. She gave off that kind of vibe. His half-smile stayed on his face as he waited for Hope's answer.

Luna S. Bartley | Werewolf | Female | 19 | Hunter | Mentions: Nat, Rowan, Kline, Hope, and Zane
Luna finishes eating and sees Nat taking off into the forest, probably running, with Kline and Rowan. Luna walks back inside to wash her dish in the sink. Zane and Hope were talking. Ignoring them, Luna drys her dish. Once she finished, she walks up the stairs and headed towards her room. Noticing that she still had her pajama pants on, she changed into black leggings. She took her sweatshirt off too and changed her pajama shirt into a Blood Moon shirt with a wolf howling. Luna then put on her one gray hoodie. It was the lightest and she wore it to go running. It was probably going to be tied around her waist when she got back but she was fine with that.
Luna brushed her hair and teeth quickly. She then grabbed a hair tie and put her hair up in a ponytail. Luna bolted downstairs and put her sneakers on. Then she headed in the opposite direction that Nat had gone. There was another trail that had scattered sticks, fallen trees, roots, and several bushes growing on the trail. Being a hunter, the trail tested Luna's skills on jumping and avoiding obstacles. It was also about two miles long and led around to the trail that Nat had gone on for a slower and more effortless end.
Luna closed her eyes and breathed in. It smelled amazing, like the smell of a flower that had just bloomed. Spring was the perfect time to go running. It was cool enough in the morning to not over-heat but also warm enough not to freeze. Luna stepped back a step and opened her eyes. She started at a jog and once she got on the trail, she sprinted, forcing herself to power through as fast as she could, knowing that she was running two miles.
The sounds of nature were better than any music when Luna was running. It was soothing and hearing what´s going on around you was better than getting caught off guard by a Cougar or Bear. Luna started jumping and dodging roots and bushes as fast as she could, thinking about what the hunters, including Luna, were going to catch tonight.

Raven | Beta | F | M: Carson, Ikaris(ind), Tori(ind), Hope(ind)
Raven smiled after Carson as he got pulled away. "I'll catch you later Carson," she called as he made his way out back before turning to survey the kitchen again. Zane and Hope were. . . connecting in the corner. Walking outside, she sat on the front porch for a bit before deciding to go to the gym. There wasn't much to do quite yet, she would organize the hunting parties if Ikaris didn't in a bit. First though, she needed to send a scout out. Rowan was currently on a run with Nat so he was out of the question for now.

Raven smiled to herself, it had been a while since she went scouting herself. Let Rowan have some fun with Nat and Kline, she needed her own run. She went back inside, in search of the alpha at first before hearing Tori and Sydney in the hall. Alright, so the alpha was with Carson in the med bay. That was good. She would leave them be. Walking outside again, she took a lap around the cabin before heading down the slope. She would head straight to town and then cut off and around to the meadow.

The town should be pretty empty this early in the morning but she wasn't too sure. They did need supplies though. Maybe a few more spices in case Tori felt like cooking again. Raven started out on foot, she didn't care for the car much. That was only if they needed groceries and even then, she let someone else drive. The vehicles were not her favorite. She wanted to shift and run but didn't feel like the pain at the moment. It was still quite uncomfortable and painful to shift plus she didn't like doing it in the daytime. Night running was worth the pain.

Kline quickly jogged after his two pack mates as he said "I'm fine with avoiding town, best to avoid the asshole humans when possible." Despite Kline's usual friendly manor towards any and everybody the memory of the handful of times someone had catcalled or misgendered him in town left a bad taste in his mouth and he didn't want to risk anything happening while he was trying to get to know his pack mates better. He liked to keep his anger and self loathing to himself if he could help it, though there were times it slipped out without his realizing it. He wasn't sure how many in the pack knew he was Trans since he'd been dressing and acting like a boy since puphood but none of them had ever misgendered him so he didn't think it was important enough to cause a fuss about. As far as he and his pack were concerned he was a man and anyone who said otherwise could go shove their opinions where the sun don't shine.

Sydney-11-Female-M : Tori, Ikaris(ind), Carson(ind)

Sydney took a few deep breaths as she took tori's offered hand and nodded, wiping her tears away with her other hand. She sniffled as she looked back at Ikaris and Carson hoping the alpha would be ok with Carson help. Once she'd managed to stop her sniffles she quietly asked tori "Tori, Alpha Ikaris is gonna be ok right? He's not gonna die?" Carson had reassured her everything would be fine and she trusted that he would help Ikaris the best he could but at the moment she really needed someone to reassure her. She had a much trust for Tori as she did Carson and the only person in the pack she trusted more then Carson was Ikaris but she doubted she would ever trust anyone as much as Ikaris.

Natasha DeForest | Werewolf | Female | Medic's Assistant | M: Rowan, Kline

The chilly air filled Nat’s lungs with a pleasant tingle as she breathed in and out. She could feel rays of sun warming her shoulders as she and her packmates traversed the forest, but the leaves of the treetops far above blanketed them in relative shadow.

Passing dense brush and thick tree trunks, it was hard for Nat to comprehend just how much older this forest was than her. Her father had told her once during one of their rare camping outings that it was a billion years old, and she’d believed him then; not so much now. A soft sigh passed her lips as she thought of her parents. They had been shifters as well, but opted to live out their days in civilization rather than seeking out more of their own kind. Nat had hoped her sister’s disappearance and the subsequent discovery of her remains would spur them into searching for a pack to call their own, but they stubbornly remained in their little townhouse in the city, miles away from where Nat now stood. She had left as soon as she reached adulthood. With her parents being the only other shifters around her, Nat’s adolescence had been an isolating experience. Quite dangerous as well, she realized later on in life. After her sister’s death, there was nothing stopping her from looking for others of her kind. Nowadays, Nat had frustratingly little contact with her parents. There was the occasional phone call, sure, but those only came every few months. She knew it must be hard on them, to lose one daughter and have the other practically disappear from their lives.

Something caught Nat’s peripheral vision, jostling her from where she was buried in her thoughts. Engraved in the trunk of a young pine tree just off of the path was a notch that looked as though it had been made with a knife. Nat glanced around her; they were about halfway finished with the loop that surrounded the town. She could see smoke puffing from the chimneys of the closest houses. She frowned and scraped at the notch with her thumbnail. “Probably some dumb kids from in town”, she said to Rowan and Kline. “Damaged a perfectly healthy tree for no reason.”

Luna S. Bartley | Werewolf | Female | 19 | Hunter | Mentions: Kline, Rowan, and Nat (ind)
Luna had already run about one and a half miles and was pushing through to finish. Her legs weren't as tired of running because she was a hunter. It was tiring though trying to run as fast as she could jumping and dodging everything on the trail. She tripped up twice and only on small roots that she barely saw. She was focusing on the ground ahead of her, watching for roots and sticks trying to mess her up. Then, Luna thought she heard a sound, making her turn her head in curiosity. Once she did though, she tripped on a root and fell to the ground. "So much for powering through the whole..way." Luna said, out of breath a little. Luna tried to stand up but once she did, she couldn't move. Her foot was caught on the root she had tripped over. "Dammit, now what am I gonna do?" Luna said, thinking. She tried to pull the root up but her foot was stuck. "I'm going to have to take my shoe off. I can bring my knife back later and get my shoe unstuck. Eh, I like the challenge, the socks won't do." Luna said, taking off her socks. She took her other shoe off and carried it and her socks. "Keep going Luna, challenges make it harder, keep making it harder." She told herself. She then took off running.
Five minutes later, Luna arrived at the path that lead back to the cabin. Turn left and keep going. The cabin would be close. Turn right and it leads all the way around town. Luna hoped that Kline, Rowan, and Nat had already passed this part or she would be questioned about why she only had one shoe and why it wasn't on. Luna started to jog to the left. The cabin was only about half a mile away. "Almost there, c'mon, it's fine, they probably already passed." Luna said, still unsure about whether or not they had passed. She would find out sooner or later,

Shadow | Loner | 24 | M | M: Nat(ind), Rowan(ind), Kline(ind)
Shadow finished the drills, grinning. The dense woods were perfect for practicing. He lounged at the side of the small clearing he had made and took a drink of his water. He panted slightly before marking one of the trees where he was sitting. He hid it slightly, so the humans wouldn't find it. Only his werewolf sight would be able to pinpoint it. Humans always seemed to look into little things for no reason.

Shadow didn't believe there was anyone else around but he wasn't paranoid for no reason. He spread out some leaves, hiding his footprints before searching the woods. His scent was strongest in that clearing so he pulled up some garlic before spreading the juice around the clearing. He gagged, holding his nose. Garlic stank as it was for a human but with his sense of smell, it reeked. Finishing with the garlic, he realized that he wouldn't be able to wash off the garlic here. Oh well, it would keep his scent hidden as he got home.

As he jogged through the woods, a strange scent came to him. Two males, a female. Something was off but he couldn't pinpoint it. The scent was fresh. He paused before shrugging it off. People came jogging down this path all the time. It's probably only a group of friends going out for a morning run or something. Nevertheless, he slowed down his pace as he followed his nocks towards town. Keeping to the shadows and the deepest woods, he kept along. Once he got to the town, he could disappear easily. He had been enough bar fights to know the fastest way to lose people.
