Aesir
Omega Mt. Pack | Male | Pup | M: Rhonwen, Open

The pup broke into a humble amble, ears focused attentively on Rhonwen as the she-wolf lifted her head. Sunlight seemed to catch her auriferous optics, igniting them in a warm fiery glow. Aesir leaned into her touch, heartily welcoming Rhonwen's affectionate greeting. His tail waved aft and fro. Yet in his best knowledge to display respect, the pup's tail happened to subtly tuck. Aesir sat down beside the she-wolf, careful not to plop down atop of her.

Aesir studied the body language of Rhonwen for a moment. Her sweet scent of wild berries and winter pine permeated in the space between them as his gaze merely flicked to the repositioning of her lithe physique. His ears ever so slightly swiveled upon noticing her tucked paw.

Finally, the pup returned the smile. Even more so, he jubilantly chuffed. "Yes," he murmured after reading Wen's lips. "How are you?" His voice carried hints of his former pack's accent. It was almost guttural, though thanks due to being a pup, soft.

He liked to imagine Rhonwen's voice was like that of a mosiac of snow drifting beneath a brightly lit sky. A warm, yet ever cool, abundance of calm and serenity.

Acheron

Male | Omega Pack | Pack Member | Mentions: Rag, Bolverkr

Acheron could watch as anger seeped slowly into her features. Something that the male was far from scared of. After all, he liked it. As much as he loved seeing fear wash over the face of wolves, prey and all animals alike, upsetting them was often just as exciting to a wolf like him. Rag was far from an exception. She was just an angry wolf with a painful past.... Very similar to him, it seemed.

As she began her wrath by calling him immature names, he simply scoffed once more. He snapped his pearly caninines in the air by her face, not afraid to bite her nose right off. He certainly wasn’t afraid of drawing blood, or showing bones for that matter. He stood there, deadly eyes staring right back into hers as she unleashed what she thought was fire upon him. It didn’t sting, though. He was immune to pointless words from weak females.

As she finally finished, his eyes were dark, holding a flame that couldn’t quite be put out with anything but his own fiery wrath. He took a deep breath, trying to contain the dark thoughts that lingered beyond the surface.

'Kill her. We don’t need her. The Alpha would never know.... But Bolverkr.'

He growled lowly as he looked at the she-wolf before him. “Bitch. You’re not the only one whose dealt with pain. You don’t know my past just as much as I dont know yours, and here you are preaching on it as if you were there in the flesh.” He blinked once, shaking his head as he glanced around the current scene. “Most of my blood are rotting bones and I had to pick up the pieces for my little sister. You don’t deserve to know my past, and I don’t really care to know yours. But he’s never going to learn his own skills if you keep on sistering the hell out of him.” He barked out at her, before slowly looking over to Bolverkr.

He then watched as she lay down, and he shook his cranium once more as the cool earth met her fur. “Fine, Ráðgríðr. Lay down and close your eyes to escape.”

“Come on.” He stepped away from her, nudging gently the side of Bol’s own head.

Death avoided.

Berengar
Mountain Pack | Alpha | Male | Mentions: Open

The male was not slow in his appraisal of the trails leading into the valley, but he got stuck at one, eying some scrape marks in the ground. Had they been there the night before? They didn't look fresh, but the male couldn'tbe sure, and without his sense of smell, there was no real way for him to know.

A distant holler caused him to lift his head, but the sound was familiar, and he wasn't worried about it. Probably the antics of one of his pack, nothing to be worried about really. Still, the scrape marks concerned him for a bit longer, before he turned away from them. He would bring Bol over later to inspect them to see if they were something to be concerned about. If they were, he would have the unstable male handle it. The male was odd, unusual of sorts, but Berengar liked the male, and had come to view him as a relatively decent friend of sorts. So he trusted him, it was why the male was his Beta.

Shaking out his coat, he paced around through the forest, checking for any signs of foreign foes, but once he concluded the forest of their small valley was only occupied by the pack, he headed back towards the pond much of the pack flooded to in the mornings. It was there the male would hold his morning meeting, and it had been long enough now that several would be awake, the rest shortly behing them.

Fleur
Mountain Pack | Female | Subordinate | Mentions: Clovis

The slender female continued to observe the other, taking in her expression and body language intently. Her ears perked and swiveled slightly, head lolling to the side as she thought over what the responses likely meant. With the simple head shake, it was evident that she hadn't slept well, something Fleur took sympathy towards, familiar with it herself.

"Me?" She asked when the female motioned towards her, wanting to confirm what she meant, but answered anyways. "I actually slept well for once, though I can't help but fear it's a bad omen for today or tonight for me. I'm often dealing with seizures throughout the night, so good sleep is rare for me," she murmured, offering the beginning of an explanation to the she-wolf. "So when I sleep well, it makes we wary that I might seize more during the day, or have an awful night after where I seize more," her ears swiveled on her head and she shrugged her shoulders.

Glancing again at the female, she thought for a moment. "I'm not sure what keeps you from sleeping. If I guess correctly, nod." She instructed, figuring this would allow them to have a more in depth conversation without the vocals of the second. "Nightmares or Terrors? Too Cold? Too hot?" she began to list them, pausing after each option to gauge a response. "Noisy neighbors? Hypervigilant?"

Tavarious
Nomadic Pack | Male | Subordinate | Mentions: Anika, Selene, Akakios

"Kill. Kill. Kill."

The first voice continued to chant, his voice enraged and thick with lust for blood, a sound that set Tavarious' skin on edge. His ears flicked and his brow furrowed a bit as the first continued to bounce the singular word around in his skull. These were antics Tavarious had long since grown accustomed to, but it didn't ease the unsettled feeling in his gut.

"Do not listen to him, Tavarious. He's just bitter--"

"Do not speak on my behalf, weakling. Tavar knows who he is on the inside, he just refuses to let me out for the sake of the thinbloods around him."

The alabaster male winced at the first's insult, but glanced over at Anika and nodded a bit before shrugging. "Not so much more than normal, but the first. He's angry. More so than normal today." His voice, quiet in tone had an innocence to it that showed he didn't fully understand why the first was so angry. Just that it always was.

"Shh, baby, don't let him get to you." The soft nuzzle from the second dark female beisde him pulled his attention to the space beside him, and he offered her a gentle smile. Like Anika, Selene offered a tremendous source of comfort for the male, and he let his tail flop a bit at her affection.

His eyes snapped over to Akakios, a male he was familiar with, but not terribly close with. The scarred wolf intimidated him in the sense that he couldn't image what he had been through, but he didn't find him terribly threatening though. Not like some of the others.

"Screw him. I bet he was chewed up and spit out by his pack. Useless. Useless!"

"Stop that."

"Or what? What can you honestly do?"

"Don't say things like that about others. We don't know him." Tavarious tried, in vain, to reason with the first, but the cackling laugh reverberating in his head confirmed it was useless.

"I don't need to know him to know he's just as useless as you, Tavarious. I've seen piglets with more spine than you, you whimpering pup," a mocking laugh followed the words, causing Tavarious' lip to twitch, a dark look falling over his features. It was moments like this that the possible nature of the unstable male was clear. He mere shreds away from completely losing it if the will of the first were slightly stronger.

"Stop barking at him you old fool."

"Honestly, though, some of us are still trying to sleep."

The voice of the third caught the male off guard, and his ears flicked up. It wasn't often that the third spoke, and it's words weren't necessarily always kind, but it seemed even it was tired of the first's drabble.

"Or what?"

Tavarious let out a frustrated and tired sigh and gently smashed his head into his paws, using them to rub painfully into his eyes. His ears twitched and flattened, and lifted again as they all continued to argue within his head.

Gentle breath stirred the fur of his cheeks, and he peaked as the ebony she-wolf nestled into his side, her eyes shining like a pair of night sky stars. With a softness, the female began to hum, the sound immediately quieting his mind for a moment so that he could focus on what was being said around him. His eyes were still trained on the dark female, but he responded to Anika from where he was positioned.

"I can help you find a whelping den if you want?" He wasn't sure what task she would give him, but he found staying close to her today would likely be the best option for her. "Unless you had sometihng else in mind?" Finally he broke his lock on Selena and focused his attention towards the Alpha female.

Bǫlverkr
Omega Mountain || Beta || Male || Mentions: Acheron, Ráðgríðr

"Oh, oh, I feel faint." Yes, Bǫlverkr was dramatic, but he had a right. He was attacked, humiliated, scarred! What other wolf had gone through such a treacherous thing? None, that's what! "Acheron, my companion, my pal. If I die, you can have my den. I leave it to you and solely you." Releasing a sniffle, followed by a sob, he spluttered. "Y- you can customize it however you wish." A shaky breath escaped him before Bǫlverkr shook out his pelt and resumed his natural stance once more. "Alright, I'm over this." Tone falling back to normal, he switched entirely, chest puffing out slightly in response to Acheron's input.

"You're right, the scar will add character. Of course, I'd tell others I received it fighting off a bear, or perhaps saving a pup from the jowls of a vicious, rabid coyote. Anything but the truth." Turning to Ráðgríðr, he began to focus on her. "Oh, and I haven't forgotten you. If I die, I leave you my title. There, that should do it." Content, there was a moment of peace before Acheron began to snap in response to his sister's words. What more could Bǫlverkr do but remain silent? What more could he do besides watch his sister and friend begin to argue?

It reminded him too much of his past. Too much fighting.. Too much anger and malice. He wanted it to stop. Needed it to stop. The words were mean. The tones were growing louder. It was too much. Too similar. Needed it to stop. Loud. He didn't like it. The words were mean. Too much fighting.. Too much anger. Couldn't move. Frozen. Voices.

Loud. Loud. Loud.

"Do you know how my father used to be.."

Father, father, father.

"I have scars for a reason and so does my brother.."

What a treacherous male he was. What a cruel, cruel figure. He didn't want to think of him. Didn't want to remember. Didn't like him. Cruel male. Not a father. Bully. Murderer. Devil.

Bǫlverkr's eyes twitched, his mind racing until finally, he broke past his gibberish thoughts, pupils dilating. "Silence!" He roared, lips peeling back to reveal a row of jagged teeth, some missing, some still in tact. His hackles raised, eyes widened to the brink of madness as he stared at the empty space between his sister and Acheron. Ever so slowly, they traveled onto Ráðgríðr, his body remaining in a defensive stance. "We do not mention that individual. You are not to utter that word in front of me ever again." He didn't mean to yell. He didn't mean to use such a tone with his sister, but their father was a bad topic. He couldn't bring himself to say more than a few words when it came to him. It always caused Bǫlverkr to spiral, having been the root of his problems and why he became this way.

"I don't want to hear him. I don't want any mention of what happened." Tone dropping into less of an aggressive one and simply a stern one, Bǫlverkr released a deep sigh, composing himself. "No more of this. No more of these words. We have proper work to get done, and time is being wasted on this." Speaking to both friend and sister, this was why Bǫlverkr became a beta, able to implement a form of order. That, and because despite the state he was in, Berengar trusted him. He somehow became a friend to him, bonded in a sense, and Bǫlverkr would prove that he was a companion until the day he died.

"You'll prove nothing. You're better off dead."

"Berengar is going to hold his meeting soon. I want to head over there now." Interrupting his voice, Bǫlverkr became more stoic, glancing at his sister as his eyes softened. "I don't mean to be harsh." He didn't need to explain. Ráðgríðr understood. She always did. "Go rest in the den. You won't be of much use to the pack if you're tired. I'll come find you after the meeting. Hopefully by then you'll be better rested, hm?" It was up to his sister to decide, but Bǫlverkr allowed her to have that option nonetheless. "We all have bad pasts. It's why we're here. It won't help to move on if we're still focusing on what happened rather than on the path ahead." Frankly, Bǫlverkr was tired of it. He didn't want to think of what happened. It set him back, and he wanted to move forward.

Feeling Acheron nudge his head, the male nodded a singular time before turning to his sister, tone gentle. "If you would like to come, you're free to. If you'd like to go rest, you could do that as well. If you do decide to rest, send anybody you see Berengar's way. He will be expecting the others to begin waking up." Offering her a rare smile, he turned and began to walk off alongside of Acheron.

What a way to start the day.

Omega Mtn. Pack | Subordiante | Female | Mentions: Aesir

The female couldn't help but soak in the presence of the pup, enjoying his company immensely. Part of it panged her heart a bit, knowing this was something she likely would never be able to partake in with her own offspring, since it was likely she'd never have any, but she enjoyed what the pup offered anyways. If nothing else, she could have moments like these with pups who did not have families of their own.

"I'm well, little one, a bit tired, but well nonetheless," she was careful to speak clearling, enunciating her words so he could easily read her lips without too much difficulty.

Her features twisted into a look of joy and deviance, and she leaned forward, jaws stretched into a smile. "Have you had a chance to pester Berengar yet this morning? I bet he would let you practice hunting him if you wanted." She knew their bear of an Alpha never minded the antics of the pups, the male had the patience to host entire pack of misfits and lead the successfully through life. A little pup jumping on him was nothing, of that she was sure.

Omega Mountain | Female | Mute | M: Fleur, Rocky
.
The female listened through her good ear as Fleur spoke to her. Clovis let out a small whine at her talking about her seizures. Clovis did feel bad for the female. She had wondered how she managed to get though the seizures. It must be a scary experience. She sat down as Fleur began to guess why Clovis is having trouble sleeping. Her first nod came right after Fleur had mentioned nightmares. Clovis tried to forget about the nightmares she has been having. Her second nod was right after Fleur said "too cold."
.
Clovis doesn't have long and silky fur like the other wolves. She has shorter fur which causes her to be colder than the others. She does attempt to get through it throughout the night but it is difficult. Shortly after, her ears perked as she faintly heard someone pass by. It was one of her pack mates, Rocky. She hadn't spoke with him too much. Or should she say, interacted, with him. Clovis was unsure of his flaws. She saw as he had been looking over towards her and Fleur. Clovis tilted her head before looking back at Fleur, slight confusion was painted on her face because Rocky seemed to be acting weird.

The female watched as the other nodded a couple of times at the different options. Nightmares and Too Cold. Fleur was familiar slightly with both, but not as much as others. She didn't dream often, and her den was small enough it kept the warmth from her own body in. But she could sympathize, as she did get cold during the coldest times.

"I see, I'm so sorry, Clovis, that must be so difficult." She offered, shifting her weight so she sat comfortably by the female. "I can't speak for the cold or the nightmares, but I know what it's like to have to deal with issues alone at night. It's a bit lonely and defeating," the female's ears perked gently and she smiled suddenly.

"Oh! I know! What don't you see if you can share a den with someone? I'm sure there are several who wouldn't mind. I know I would offer, but I don't want you to have to deal with my seizures," the female dropped her ears a bit, her excitment waining for a moment. "They're not always pretty, and I wouldn't want to be a burden on the nights they're really bad," what Fleur wasn't elaborating on was that there were times when the seizures were so bad she had no control over her body, and would sometimes relieve herself in the midst of one. No one wanted that kind of denmate.

The petite female followed the eyes of the mute she-wolf, her own optics landing on the dark colored male within their pack, Rocky. Her head cocked to the side as she focused on Clovis. "I wonder if he wants to socialize and find friends too, he may just not know how. Should we go talk to him?"

Rocky glance back over to the she-wolves in time to see them staring curiously. Luckily his dark fur hid his flushed face as he looked away again, head bowed. Stupid, stupid, stupid, now they... She... Thought he was an idiot. Maybe he could walk up and make up an amazing, cunning excuse?
...
Rocky shook his head slightly, his thoughts were fading in the way that they did right before his most recent memories vanished. He automatically muttered his ritual that some wolf, he ironically couldn't remember who, had taught him. He recited where he was and what was happening quickly under his breath, until he could think clearly again. Wow, he was doing such a great job at looking normal, he was acting insane.
...
He glanced over at the other wolves again, taking a tentative step forward, maybe he could still talk with them? Maybe... But they probably thought he was mad.
