Due to some things I can't really distance myself from him right now but I may honestly just ask him how his girlfriend is at some point and just ask about her, I feel like it could go 50/50 but I can't really distance myself from him (not saying I'm forcing myself against my will to talk to him) and honestly if he thinks I'm trying to hit on him then I can just say I like someone or something

Honestly it's been interesting to see, I quite literally could make a list of his weird behavior and actions since we split

technically in real life some animals can have multiple pelt changing defects

my neighbor used to have a cat that was Chimera and Viti which was very cool

but in this game its just a bug that makes it look like two pelt changing defects

I've seen a few wolves recently that have more than one pelt changing defect

Muriel ~ Nightlock Pack ~ Female ~ Hunter ~ M: Mairea (D) Pack members (ind)
Muriel snapped awake to hear the sound of the Beta female talking to her and her slumbering companion. Embarrased. she quickly jumped up, swiping a paw over her eyes, trying to wip the sleep from them.
"I'm so sorry," she mumurmed, keeping her eyes down. She felt absolutely humiliated. How could she sleep in? She almost never slept in, usually waking with the dawn. And the soft tone of the beta only felt patrionizing. Muriel heaved a soft sigh, licking her chest fur to try to distract herself. Her sleepy brain caught up, and for a moment, she held Mairea's eyes.
"A hunting party, you said?" She asked, still in a soft tone. The male that was behind the Beta seemed like a nasty one, looking like he'd like to bite her snout of, and she gave him an unfriendly look. "I'm sorry for oversleeping," she said again. "I proise it won't happen again. I'm ready when you are."

Aurea | Female | Hunter | Nightlock | Mairea

The small female was stirred awake by the soft cough given by Mairea, then the orders for the day that followed.
"Oh for god's sake Mairea. You're such a damn worry wart." Aurea replied bluntly before stretching and standing before the younger female. "I'll be absolutely fine, dingo brain."
She said the insult light heartedly, she knew that Mairea would be silly to take Aurea's comments to heart, sometimes she could really act like an old bat when she wanted to.
"And you, Solaris, should have a little more respect to the elderly. Yes, boy, I know what you're thinking. 'How disrespectful' 'Oh there's work to be done' 'Blah blah blah'. I've heard it all before. Now scooch before I have to make you."
Aurea personally had no trouble in tosing out these comments hear and there. Becaue she was the oldest in the pack, no one really seemed to care to much.
Pushing past Solaris and with a kind smile to Mairea, she padded out of the den and sat down in the awakening sunlight. Looking over her shoulder, she asked Mairea when they would be heading out. The dame had a simple no nonsense policy, and didn't want to miss her daily sunhigh nap that often occured. To hell with the other wolves, they may not need to take a nap, but I bloody well do. She chuckled to herself quietly before itching her front left leg.
She surveyed the camp through squinted yellow hues and breathed in and out noisily a few times. The day was a kind one, the dame observed, interestingly. The clouds were few and far between in the sky and she saw a glimpse of the sun between the dew ridden trees.
I love it here.

Aspen | Male | Warrior | Nightlock | Nashka, Lichen, Pack Members (ind.)

Aspen nodded politely to Mishka as she gave him the order. He felt excitement flutter in his chest as he thought of training the young male, Cronan. He was also pleased that he would be joined by Nashka, the young female was kind and a very good leader. She very much deserves to be Delta. He thought with a smile. "If you'll excuse me Mishka, I will go and speak with Nashka immediately." He dipped his head to the female as a sign of submission and stood up slowly.
Through his amber hues, he scanned the camp for Nashka, and spotted her with Lichen, her brother.
He trotted over to them and awknowledged the Lead Hunter and the Delta of the pack with a dip of his head. He had always been one for delivering utmost respect, quite unlike his mother.
"Nashka, do you have anything in mind for Cronan today?" He posed the question with a grin.
He sat down next to the two wolves and sighed happily as he watched the goings on in the camp. He spotted Mairea with Solaris heading towards his mother's den before Mairea spoke quiet words to the sleeping form of Aspen's mother, Aurea.
Oh good lord, what will Aurea come out with to the Beta Female? Apsen mused, for he, much like most of the pack members knew of Aurea's blunt manner.

Keefe | Male | Alpha | Lunar
M: Mal (d) Xola (ind) pack members (ind)
Keefe listened patiently, and with great sympathy, working his way down her coat. When she complained of her scar, he moved in front of her, gently rubbing his muzzle on the skin, trying to soothe it. The humidity was starting to get to him, feeling like there was something hanging off his coat, but he felt he had no reason to complain, not when his good friend was speaking.
"Perhaps you should ask Xola if she has something that would help," he suggested, hoping to propose a solution that would leave her feeling better, and be able to hunt or patrol as she saw fit.
At her words of the pup's game, Keefe's eyes went very dark, and his muscles tensed under his dark fur.

"They what?! How cruel!" His voice was soft, but deep, vibrating with dark rage. "Don't worry, I'll talk to them. I won't let them hurt you anymore."

Keefe stood up, the anger still evident in his posture.
"And I will make it abudantly clear to the pack that you are not only one of my best friends, but an accepted member of the pack, and should be treated as such. And Mal? I wish you'd told me sooner. I don't like it when you're hurting."
Keefe leaned against her for a brief moment, the affection clear in his eyes, and he licked her forehead, heading back towards his den to plan out what he needed to say.

Malumbra | Female | Warrior | Lunar Pack | M: Keefe [d], Xola [ind], Ghost [ind], Lunar Pack [ind]

Malumbra's eyes betrayed her confusion and surprise as Keefe's posture changed from relaxed to tense and upset. "I.." she said as he got up and began padding away, her mind whirling. She honestly hadn't expected him to react as he did, except for with the wound, but she would go through much worse before she went to Xola, not since what she'd seen that morning.

While she almost regretted telling him all she had, the feel of him leaning against her fur, and the lick he had given her quickly convinced her she'd done the right thing. Her heart was still beating fast at the protectiveness and affection she had seen in his gaze, she hadn't known he still felt so strongly for her, even if it was just as a friend.
But would it really help to have him speak to the pack? Of course they respected him, but she could just imagine the painfully polite conversations that would follow, and the pup's terrified eyes when they would look at her, afraid they would get punished for saying something.

With a quick decision she bounded after him, "Keefe" she called, waiting for him to stop so she could catch up, "I..I don't want you talking to the whole pack about it" she said, glancing away from his intense eyes "It won't help" she continued softly, "You know it won't. The only thing that would ever help would be if I.. " she immediately stopped, blushing at the words that were going through her mind.

If I challenged Ghost and took her position.

There was no way she could come right out and say that, it was too serious to just throw around flippantly. But the more she thought about it, the more appealing the idea was. To wake up beside Keefe every morning, to no longer have the wolves ignoring her, they would see that she wasn't just her scar, that she was so much more.
Hesitantly, her voice growing stronger as she spoke, she stared straight into Keefe's eyes. "The only thing that would help truly would be me challenging Ghost."

There. It was out, finally, what she'd been wanting to say for weeks, months even, was finally out. A wave of relief swept over her, and the sense of a great weight being lifted.
But what would Keefe think? What if he said he didn't want her there beside him? What if he was so shocked by what she'd said that he demoted, or even exiled her?
Her eyes slipped to the ground again as she waited with bated breath for his answer to her shocking, and literal, proposal.

Keefe | Male | Alpha | Lunar Pack | M: Mal (d) Ghost (ind)
Keefe sighed as Mal called out, knowing she was right, and he sat down, the frustration still evident in his face. He gnawed on his paw for a moment, trying to calm himself down, listening to her words.
"I know, I know, but..." He trailed off, knowing that she was probably right about everything, and he could practically already imagine forced conversations, or worse, she'd be completely ignored. No wolf would want to risk angering an alpha, and they would probably rather just not talk and thus, not have any reason to be called out for being mean.
Keefe turned to face her, trying to keep his expression neutral as she talked. He didn't want her to think he was angry at her, because he wasn't. He was only angry at the lack of control he had over his own life, and that he couldn't give her what she wanted. However, what she said next shocked him to the core.
"Ch-challenge Ghost? Mal, are you insane?! Don't you know what the punishment for losing a battle like that would be?"

His tone was panicked, and he pawed at the dirt.
"I love you, Mal. I would do anything to have you take Ghost's place. I don't even know how she managed to take Alpha Female. But...I know that she's pretty ruthless. And I know that I can't really stop you, and I know what I want. I want you beside me, every morning. I want you to have my pups. Never her. But I can't lose you."
Keefe's tone was firm, but he seemed to be struggling internally, his eyes dark. He started pacing, trying to calm himself, but every word she'd said was bouncing around his mind.
"Do you really think you could beat her? Because...if you do...you have my consent to challenge her."

Malumbra | Female | Warrior | Lunar Pack | M: Keefe [d], Ghost [d], Lunar Pack [d]

Malumbra closed her eyes as she waited, an apology ready on her lips, when Keefe suddenly spoke in a shocked and panicked tone. She winced, yes, she knew the risks, and she knew it was crazy for a warrior to challenge an Alpha outright, without moving further up in the ranks first.
Before she could apologize and brush the idea away before any action was taken, Keefe spoke again. And what he said shocked and amazed her to her core, making her jerk her head up and staring at him in disbelief.

Keefe, the Alpha Male, cared for her, not just as a friend? He wanted her to be beside him every day, and to have his pups?
An overwhelming amount of joy spread through her body, outweighing the doubt she'd had about the challenge. For a chance to be with him, she would go through anything. Even if it meant exile at the end of the day, it was worth it to have tried.

"Keefe" she said softly, stepping forward to stop his pacing. "I can do it. Now that i know how you feel about me, i'll do anything to be with you." she said, her voice sure, love that she'd never dared to show finally shining through her golden eyes. "As long as you believe in me, she will not triumph."

After a moment she tore her gaze away from Keefe, focusing on the Alpha's den, where Ghost no doubt lay within, her eyes hardening with surety. She began padding towards it, each step firm and solid, no faltering in her gaze or movement.
Stopping in the clearing just in front of the Alpha's den, she raised her head and let out a challenging deep howl, getting the entire packs attention.

Taking a deep breath she stood tall, ears and tail forward in the position of dominance, eyes focused and intense as she faced the dark opening. "I, Malumbra, Warrior of the Lunar Pack do here and now challenge Ghost for the rank of Alpha Female."

Clovis || Male || Nightlock Pack || Warrior || M: Hymir, Nightlock Pack (Ind), Open

A brown figure sat at the edge of camp, glaring out over a sea of colors and shapes. His usually fluffy fur clung to his form from the humidity, hiding his prominent muscles more so than normal. His crooked tail swishes back and forth awkwardly in annoyance – scattering moss from his former nest about the area. Some of this moss stuck to his fur from time to time, but was quick to fall off after another shake or two. A grumble left his throat as he sneered, showing off long and slightly yellowed fangs.

His dark eyes narrow further than before, their milky centers constricting slightly as he did so. He could barely make out anything right now. The world was blurry – hazy, even. A mesh of moving, colorful blobs that never ceased from their insistent chatter. The occasional clouds did not help him in this matter either. They only made things worse. What would have been a world of bright, easy-to-see browns, whites, and blacks, now became dull and – in a way – lifeless. Most blended in with the foliage around them, now that the shimmering greens now carried the same tint of gray as them.

However, sight was not the only sense he had. Just as any other wolf, he had others – and they were notorious for being much better than his sight. Even back in the day, when he could still see properly. His ears flickered about a semi-rapid speed, listening to the conversations of many of those in camp. While he held no particular interest in them, gathering a few interesting tidbits of information here and there to make someone tick would be fun.

I could really go for some violence right now, Clovis licks one of his still exposed fangs before covering them once more, it may just take off the edge I need.

Finding nothing of interest in the conversations he could “peak” in on, he turns his attention to another one of his favored senses. Lifting his schnoz into the air, he takes a deep breath of air – closing his useless eyes in the process. Carried on the wind was the promise of rain – much to his great displeasure – along with the usual scents of his pack. The odd scent of flowers and herds were present as well, but he wanted nothing to do with those unless they came from his sister. Besides that, there wasn’t anything of interest in the immediate area. His annoyance grew at this. He wanted action. Arguments. Violence! Not some sappy get together of wolves who were too “paranoid” to start anything.

The grumbles from before eventually grew into full blown, resonating growls that would be hard to miss by most in the area. Finally standing up, the leaf-littered male begins walking over where he could only assume a certain someone would be. If he didn’t move within a certain period of time, that is. While that whiff had no viable form of… entertainment, it did grant him the information of everyone’s general location. So, what better thing to do than bug a certain nephew of his into causing issues going on patrol with him (if they were needed, that is).

Utilizing what sight remained within the male’s reddish-brown eyes, he slowly padded his way over to where the scent of his nephew had first come from – pausing every once and again to check for any signs of possible movement. If he crossed paths with anyone, he didn’t care. He just passed by them without any regard for personal space, or blatantly ignored any sort of conversation or order they may have been attempting to make. If not both.

Upon reaching the form of his nephew he grew… slightly disappointed. Looking down at the young male with a raised “eyebrow” and flattened ears, Clovis stares down at a not-so-blurry, slumbering Hymir. Yeah, he wasn’t going to stand for this. Sitting back down, he proceeds to “gently” poke the black wolf with his paw – right below his ribs.

“Hymir. Hymir! Get up,” he probs him harshly in the side once more after getting no response, “Get. Up. You’re sleeping the day away, you lazy mutt. Don’t make me bring a certain someone in to wake you.”

Svana | Female | Nightlock | Warrior
Mentions: Hymir, Clovis
.
The female was seen sitting by a fairly large rock. She had heard from others that soon she would be partaking in a patrol. Svana made sure she was up and ready for when that would take place. The female hoped she didn't cross any of those mangy Lunar wolves. Actually, they better hope they don't cross her. Svana had a deep hatred for the opposing pack. She couldn't even stand the thought of their odor. She snarled under her breath at the thought of them before something had grabbed her attention. Svana heard pestering from a wolf, trying to wake another up. She turned her head in curiosity before noticing it was Clovis. Her hues wandered towards the wolf he was desperately trying to wake up. Of course, that wolf had to be Hymir. Svana fancied Hymir more than any other wolf in the pack. Yet, she was in denial that what she felt for him was more than how friends feel about each other. Just at the sight of Hymir, she felt her heart skip a beat. Svana quickly had looked away so others wouldn't see her staring. However, she did wonder if Hymir was going to be joining her on the patrol today. Apart of her hoped so, while the other part hoped he wasn't. Hymir seemed to be the only wolf in the pack that brought out a softer side of Svana. She acts like a complete fool around him. And she hates it. Svana flicked her tail before rising to her paws and taking a small scout around the pack, examining each wolf as they were engaged in conversation with others. Partly, Svana felt like an outsider. She was never the most social wolf and often felt awkward when others did try to talk to her. Hopefully, she'd get over that soon.

~
Prey still in his mouth, Lichen smelt the scent of his sister, Nashka, through the thick veil for prey-scent. Dropping his prey to the ground, he looked up at her. "It is a nice morning, no doubt about that." Lichen agreed. His mouth was still watering from the scent of the rabbit, but Lichen new he was forbidden to eat it. He shifted his haunches, making sure his weight was even. "Hmm it did seem to be quite humid this morning. I wonder if it could mean rain?" Lichen pondered his sister's words, but soon dismissed them with a shake of his head.
~
Listening dully to his sister's words, he only half understood them, his mind elsewhere. He was worried. Prey was scarce, there was hardly enough food as it was, but with the shortage of hunters... he could only imagine how the pack would deal with the cold months. Shaking the bad thoughts away from him with a shiver, Lichen looked back at his sister. "Uhhh, no. I haven't yet. I should go though, you have a good day!" And with those parting words, Lichen padded over to Mishka.
~
"Good morning, Alpha." He said respectfully, bowing his head, and placing down his fresh kill. "I went out for a spot of hunting just after dawn, I hope that's ok." Lichen sat, keeping his prey close to his paws, waiting.
