Leaper | Warclaw | Mentions: Oat, Open! Leaper gave a nervous little chuckle, scratching behind an ear. "It's alright." Idly he wondered if this was the first time he'd heard Oat stamp; during the journey everything had been so chaotic, and here it was mainly the Warclaws or Patrollers sounding alarms. Her idea intrigued him, and he stepped closer, brushing the dirt mound with his whiskers. "That's a good idea, Oat. We can't see very far, not with all of these bushes around here."
SCENE SETTING | Mentions: Patrol As Hop led the way towards the strange scent, the others would begin to pick up on it, too. It seemed to lead to the east, further among the looming bulks of the pines. Noticeably, Aspen would begin to hear a strange tearing sound from that direction.

Blizzard l Male l Denizen l M: Patrol . Blizzard's nose began to twitch, then the scent of sweetness was coming from towards tye east. He knew everyone was starting to smell it, and he went towards it, following the group. He couldnt wait to be given his real rank. But whatever it is, he will be proud. Weather the others see it or not.

Aspen/ Patrol leader, rival/ Mentions: Hop, bog, Blizzard After they had traveled just a bit away from the Warren Aspen motioned for Hop to lead " You lead Hop, " She said, starting to position herself so she could still see were they were going without anyone in front of her but still letting Hop in front.

Hop & Bog / Patrollers / Mentions: Aspen, Blizzard
Hop hesitated a moment before nodding and obediently taking the lead. His tail bobbed a few paces ahead of his brother as the shadows of the pines spilled over his back. Their footsteps were silent on the pine needles.
Bog was uneasy, and not just about Blizzard. What was edible in the pines? The undergrowth was thin here, and their cover limited. The fur rose along his spine.
Oat / Excavator / Mentions: Leaper
Oat's small ears perked, glad the warclaw agreed.

Blizzard l Male l Denizen l M: Patrol . Blizzard hopped along, his ears swiveling in each direction. He could hear the faint pawsteps of a squirrel in the distance, and could hear the pawsteps if the patrol in fro t of him. He could now smell the sweet scent too, but was starting to hear something else. Besides the crunching of snow. He assumed it to be nothing. He hopped a little faster, catching up with the group. Until he stopped dead in his tracks. He knew that smell anywhere. "Everyone stop!" He yelled, "There's a fox up ahead!"

Hop & Bog / Patrollers / Mentions: Patrol
Hop froze solid, light feet rooted to the forest floor. Bog pressed his belly against the ground, his ears flat against his head, completely still save for the wind ruffling his thick fur. Both brothers waited for Aspen to catch up, ready to dart in opposite directions at the slightest flash of orange.
"How far ahead is it?" Bog hissed, unwilling to raise on his hind legs to see if it was within sight. The pines lacked undergrowth to hide his silhouette.

Blizzard l Male l Denizen l M: Patrol . His nose sniffing and ears listening in each direction he replied, "Right up ahead. Through those pines." He listened again. "He seems to be coming towards us." He said, his face contorting with fear. "We have to find shelter. And fast." He warned. Edited at March 24, 2023 01:29 PM by Wolf Pride

Aspen l Patrol leader, Rival l Mentions: Hop, Bog, Blizzard Aspen pricked her ears up. She could hear a slight rustling it could be leaves... Or a fox. She spotted a thin grove of brambles it would offer protection though it was a bit in the open, but the thicker woodland could have better hiding spots. "Hurry" Aspen whispered, she motioned to the woods then hopped as quickly and as quietly as she could. The undergrowth has shrubs and dry leaves that could hopefully mask their scent from the fox.

Hop & Bog / Patrollers / Mentions: Patrol
Bog immediately set off after Aspen, keeping low, resisting the urge to raise his ears to hear better. He looked back over his shoulder and lifted his lip, annoyed that his brother had paused to make sure Blizzard was keeping up. He could hardly stop to box Hop's ears and settled on sending him a barely audible huff of warning.
Hop twitched one ear minutely in reply, ignoring the larger male's silent scolding. If the fox came after them, Hop's chances certainly weren't lowered by being near such a huge buck.
