Sagebrush New Pack = Pup = Female = Mentions: Her family Sage woke up at the sound of pawsteps - wet and splashy on the sodden den. She squeezed her eyes tight shut for a moment, sitting up and waiting for the shiver in her paws to tingle all the way from her muddy paws to the end of her tail. Then she exhaled softly and tentatively opened her eyes. Actually in truth, she had been awake for a little while, but that dream she'd been having was so much better than her soggy, mucky reality. It felt a hundred times better to just stay curled up and keep dreaming about... Well anything other than rain. Thank goodness her fur seemed to be doing it's job. She felt a little waterlogged but nothing too serious- But no, as much as she wanted to sit here and think the day away, she just couldn't. At least she shouldn't if she didn't want her paws to finally dry up. Blinking sleep from her eyes, she wandered in the direction of her siblings. "Wha'd I miss?" She yawned, playbowing towords them.

Harbor l Loner l Male l 3 years l M: Hunters . Harbor's pricked up as he heard a strange sound. It sounded like the paws of another wolf. He rolled onto his paws. Leaving the bones of the rabbit he had just finished eating, lying on the ground. He put his nose up and sniffed. Yep, he was right, that was definitely the smell of another wolf. But they were downwind of him, so hopefully the couldn't smell him. He didnt know if he was on the other packs territory or not. But he thought best to keep away, as he turned a though suddenly popped into his head, This is the moment you've been waiting for, its another pack, go try to join them. So he shook of his fear and trotted in the direction of the scent. It was getting stronger. He started to slow his pace and started to slink into the bushes, where he wouldn't, hopefully, be seen. The scent was almost flooding his nostrils and then he saw it. I guess there had been more scents then he thought. Now he could smell at least 6 wolves. But they all smelled like pups. He looked and saw the den. Maybe he could hang around here. So he padded off to the tree line and rolled in the leaves, camouflaging his scent. He then went and layed by ankther tree, and started to drift off to sleep. Edited at October 13, 2022 02:50 PM by Wolf Pride

Raven New pack|pup|female|almost 6 weeks|M: Her family= Sage, her parents(ind) and Harbor(ind) Raven quickly jolted her head towards her sisters voice. "Sage! Your finally awake! I thought you...." Raven trailed off, not wanting to finish her sentence. Still sitting on her father, Ravens tail wagged as she asked her sister, "Want to play?" She knew her mom and dad didnt want them to play but she couldnt help it, she had missed her sister, even though it had only been like five minutes since Raven has saw her. Just then Raven smelled an ever so slightly wolf smell. Raven just shrugged it off though, as mis smell. She then turned her attention back to her sister, waiting for an reply. Rose |Northern Mountin Pack|female|2years|Hunter|M: Rose smiled a bit as Hawk stopped and nodded. Rose has never really been acknowledged before, sure they may listen but never actually tried to do what she suggested. Yes, she was the reason they were even hunting but Rose didnt think about that. Though Rose had heard the sound she let Hawk lead the way. Sure she wanted to be the leader, just a bit but she was all too happy to complain. Besides, she could be doing something alot worse right now, like watching inocent pups die. Rose shuddered and shook her head, making sure not to mis step. She moved with agility and speed, forcing herself not to move ahead of Hawk. . Soon Rose stopped since Hawk has stopped. Rose was honered as Hawk as her if she had heard or seen anything. Again though she didnt let this pride get the best of her although it was a bit harder this time. Rose then answered Hawk "No, but i can sense were close..." Just then Rose heard a faint 'bah ing' sound. She froze, looking in all directions. Rose couldnt tell which way the sound had came from so she looked at Hawk as if to ask, which way? Oleander The New Pack | Alpha Male | Male | Five | Mentions: Sparrow, Harbor (ind.), His Pups: Sorrel, Raven, Orchid (ind.), Mouse, Talon, Sage The male watched as his lovely mate stood alert at his approach. And he was glad she hadn't decided to attack him. And he looked to see his pups outside the den and being noisy little creatures. Their fur caked with old mud and rather new layers of it. He could only imagine how uncomfortable that must've been for them. And he looked at his mate, and watched as she went to go check and make sure there were no stranglers. And he himself decided to do a head count. And it seemed that there was one less pup, Orchid had been her name, and she had been struggling as of late. And it seemed that the cold decided to not prolong her suffering. He caught the look on his mate's face, and the way she spoke as to not concern the pups with what had happened. Death, was natural yet unnatural at the same time - he was rather displeased by the loss of his pup, this was his first litter and he already lost one. What type of father was he? He then gave a nod of his head, and putting down the hare and leveret he caught, he spoke, "Alright, that sounds good. I have found a rather dry portion of the territory where we can take shelter for now. It's under a big oak tree, and it looks like there is a abandoned fox den, as a temporary spot for us to rest, and make some decisions. It's not very big, but it should do for the children to get some rest." He then heard the voice of his daughter, Raven, calling out for him to carry her, and he gave a soft chuffing noise as he licked the head of the little pup affectionately saying, "Now if I carry you around everywhere, how are you going to get big and strong? You need to work those tiny little legs so they can chase hares." He said teasingly as he poked her with his nose, but then his tone dropped into a gentler one, "but of course, my little black bird, I would carry you if you'd ask, just ask me when you're extremely tired." And when she asked her sister Sage to play he gave her a disapproving look, "Raven, you just heard your mother tell your sisters to stop playing, and then she specifically said that there will be no playing until each of you are dry, warm, and cleaned off. So, why would you ask your sister to okay, when she just got out of the den and likely didn't hear us telling you all not to play." He said in a firm, yet tired tone. He was tired but he wasn't going to say it. And he gave a deep sight before saying, "You risk getting your sister in trouble for your actions. I would suggest that you think before you act, darling. Also, listen and be obedient to your mother, and I won't say it again." And he picked up the game, he had found and he began off to the tree line to lead his family to the mentioned spot, but that's when he noticed a smell. And his ears perked alert at the scent, it was very recent, which troubled him, and it was that of another wolf and one that was masculine. He could feel his ears pin at the information he gained from the scent, and he followed it to a disrupted bush, where the leaves and branches where astray. His eyes narrowed a bit in annoyance, and his ears pinned slightly as he swished his tail, agitated. He gave a soft grunt as he lost the scent, seems the perpetrator was rather clever. And so he continued back to the tree line and it wasn't a long walk, but not exactly short either. The area held fresh grass, with just a few remaining drops of water. And their was an old oak tree with it's roots in the ground, however some were exposed on a medium sized boulder, and at the boulder - one could see the entrance of a small den. Not big enough for a grown wolf, but for a small pup - a rather snug fit, but it could be dug out just a little bit for convenience. At showing his mate and family the new area, he looked to Sparrow for her approval. And he put down the food, so when she decided to eat it was ready.

Raven New pack|pup|female|almost 6 weeks|M: Her family= Sage, Oleander, Sparrow(ind) Raven closed her eyes as her father licked her. She loved it when her father gave her attention. Raven then laughed and said "Im already big and strong, i dont need to grow more!" With that Raven gave her best scary growl, though it was more like a weird owl call. "See!" she said, smiling up at her father. She rolled backward and laughed though as her father poked her nose. "Hey!" she laughed. She then got up and nodded as her father said he would pick her up if she was tired. . After her father finished talking she turned to her sister who had came out of the den. Wanting to play she got into a play bow and asked her sister, "Want to play?!" Raven immediately froze as she heard her fathers voice. She turned to see his disapproving look. She tucked her tail and layed her ears back onto her head. She lowered her body as she approached her father. "Im sorry father, i will listen to mother next time." she said as she crouched at his feet, looking up at him with puppy eyes. . Raven then followed her father as he made his way to where ever their new home was going to be. At first Raven almost fell at times but over all Raven kept up with her father. It was quite a long walk for a pup but Raven was determined. Once they got to the new den Raven flopped down onto the almost dry ground. She was happy there was no more mud to be slipped on. After Raven had rested for a bit she went running to the new den, getting all the smells.

Falcon Lone Wolf | Male | 6 Years | Mentions: Oleander, Harbor The deep shadows of the trees moved here and there as the wind swept through the leaves. The water from the recent downpour was still in puddles on the ground, making the forest floor soft and muddy. The puddles were not deep, but their were many of them scattered everywhere the eye could see. It swirled around Falcon's paws, soaking the fur as he stepped into a particularly large one. He sighed in annoyance and lifted one of his forelegs. He didn't like when a large storm passed by. It always made the terrain slippery and caused a decrease in prey. He began to wonder if he should have stayed North. It was more mountainous and the rocky terrain didn't get as muddy. Another breeze swept through the forest, ruffling Falcon's dark fur. He paused for a moment to enjoy it, but it did not last long. It was not as strong as the wind of the Northern lands, but it did give Falcon a taste of what he had recently left. He had stayed North for some time, traversing the hills and mountains. It had been a while since he had been to the forests and valleys he once knew. This trip had better be worth it. He grumbled under his breath. Why had he come? The reason for this was something that happened long, long ago. Something that burned for years in the back of his mind, always present and always painful. Where did they say the area was? Falcon wondered as he sniffed the air. He couldn't smell what he was looking for, but then again, the wind blew behind instead of in front. He'd have to travel further into the forest. Just perfect. As if my paws weren't wet enough. He sighed, irritated by the idea of getting his paws even more soaked than they already were. Still, he would not quit. He couldn't. The rumors he had heard were still resounding in his mind, along with those memories of what he had done. No, he had to do this. Waving away the doubts, he lunged past the trees, weaving skillfully around the trunks. His green eyes sweeping the area. As he cantered through the forest, he noticed the ground growing wetter. There were more puddles around, and in some places some particularly large ones looked almost like small ponds. His thick fur coat was splashed with muddy water as he barreled through them. He grimaced, feeling his coat growing heavier and more soaked. He could almost see the dirty, ragged appearance he'd have when he'd finally reach his destination. However, he kept running. If the rumors he heard were true, he had no time to rest. He had to get there in time. Falcon kept his pace, doing his best to avoid the largest puddles. It was sometimes difficult, and there was one area in particular that he had to avoid competely because it was underwater. Not to mention his undercoat was completely covered in muddy water, and his coat was ruffled here and there from things he brushed against. Despite this, he never stopped. Every so often he slowed down to sniff the air, but it revealed nothing to him. Making his way Southwards, he kept his eyes and ears alert for anything, friend or foe alike. Suddenly, he stopped. The air was different now, and he could smell that scent he had known well. Falcon stepped forward slowly, trembling slightly. How long had it been? What would happen? He didn't know, but he couldn't turn back now. He kept walking, slowly, silently, with a careful eye. Noticing the scent of another wolf, he was put on his guard, suspicious of it. However, there was another scent. The scent of pups. Why would he pick up this? It caught him by surprise, and he forgot his caution for a brief second. Lifting his paw carelessly, he put it down on a fragile stick. He stood stock still as he heard the crack. It seemed to echo through the forest, announcing his presence to the world. Harbor l Loner l Male l 3 years l M: Falcon, Oleander . Harbor's hackles immediately went up. When that twig snapped it was almost right on top of where he lay. He could now scent it. Anither wolf. But not a pack wolf, a loner. He already knew the smell of that newer pack and knew the other pack in the area. But this one was different. He was an older male by the scent of it. He didnt want to make any sound. Because he didnt know if he was nice or not. Instead he curled down smaller, trying not to be seen. Hair bristling on end.
