Mates... "Mates huh? I like that" I say and go walk over to the lake. I felt so thristy and I drank a lot of water. "I hope Bai ate" I said. "Where are the others?" I ask.

I stir in my sleep again and wake up to my mate. But the air does not smell right. "Sparrow, who's bleeding?" I ask, still half asleep. "Is it Ace? Or Selene?" I haul myself to my paws and look, Selene and Ace are off in the corner of the clearing. "Ace, Selene. Are you guys okay?"

I curl up under a root poking out. I sleep for a while

I will be playing Night for a little while. Timber will be sleeping.

"We're okay now. I just got a bit scraped by some human junk in the city. But I'm alright." I say, smiling at her.

He started as his mate got up, and then followed her. "Night! Night!" She was already gone, heading towards Selene and Ace. He groaned. She kept leaving, and his shoulder was starting to hurt again from the branch. He decided that he should go hunting, maybe try to get a deer or something. But first he wanted to snuggle with his mate for just a little longer.

"Alright, but that looks nasty." I move closer to inspect it. Ace did a good job patching it up. I nuzzle Selene 's neck and walk back to Sparrowhawk. Lay back next to him and wag my tail. "You should get some sleep."

"Yes," he agreed. "But can we try to find a den we can share? Or a tree? I just don't want anything to find us." He sat up, and quickly started licking his shoulder, hoping she wouldn't notice the bit of blood starting to drip out. It was worse than he'd thought. Still, he couldn't complain about anything, he had to take care of everyone else first.

"I've been thinking" I say to Ace "We need to find somewhere else to camp. What if it rains? We need shelter incase whatever happened to the humans, happens again. We have to be safe." I say. "There needs to be water nearby. "Do you think there are caves in the humans' "park"?" I ask. "The river runs through the whole area, there should be prey near it."

Pandora nodded. "I was thinking of going back to my flowering tree," Pandora said. "But I suppose I could stay here, if you want," she said reluctantly. Sticking together was probably safest, but she really loved her tree. She pointed with her nose to the rock pile. "We could dig out dens under the rocks. That could protect us from the rain. But if the earth shaking comes back, they could fall."

"You're right." I said "I think we should explore what's left in this place, there would be caves in the park, but other than that, I don't know any other options. Maybe the others who came from different places would know?" I ask, looking around. "For now, we should rest. After that, we'll get moving and find a stable place to stay."

Pandora nodded. She crawled up on a rock with a ray of sunlight touching it and curled up, head resting on one of her purple and gold coils. She was perfectly content to relax after how stressful the disaster had been.
