Ajihad decided there wasn't any harm in answering those questions, "It's because I'm a young lion. I was banished from my pride. I decided to start a new one. I had been expecting it, so I planned ahead. What about you?"

Chaos

Chaos narrowed his eyes. He was getting annoyed by the amount of lions leaving for Ajihad's pride. "If you must go," he said in an annoyed tone. He didn't think he could stop her.

Aslan chuckled when he had been asked. "When two Cubs and a lioness get killed and the blame gets thrown around, you just can't trust the one in charge. I left the pride and figured I would just find somewhere else to live" he said. "Hated the annoying so called king anyway. Missing when he was needed" he said.

Ajihad looked at him in surprised. "How did three lions die? How long between the deaths?" That didn't sound like a very nice pride if three lions died. Sometimes Chaos seemed unforgiving, but he was always watchful and had a fun side when it came to cubs. Chaos even joined in the hunt, and lions generally don't hunt. Ajihad wanted to be like Chaos. He wanted to be better than Chaos. "That sounds tough," Ajihad said.

Aslan sighed. "I don't even know. I was pretty much always on patrol, or out. Pride never seemed to need me around so I kept to myself too much to care" he said. "It was more frustrating that the blame was thrown everywhere and nobody was willing to admit they did anything wrong." He shook out his mane, causing dust to fly. "I should had challenged and taken over the pride. As much as I hate to boss others around, it would have been better than having three dead members, especially in the same day."

Ajihad stared, "Three pride members in one day? That's horrible! What kind of dominants did that pride have?" He shuddered, and decided that he would watch his pride carefully. "Do you think where we put the markers are okay? They're not too far or anything like that." He thought about Aslan's pride in his head. It probably would have been better if Aslan had challenged. At least it sounded like he wouldn't challenge Ajihad. "What was your Pride's name?" he asked.

Aslan looked around. "Well, with that one expecting, soon you will need to expand. But it's a good start" he said. He seemed hesitant to speak the prides name. "Karaz was the dominant, but the pride sometimes went by Damu" he said before he sniffed the air. He smelled a small herd of something. He was getting hungry, but wasn't about to hunt without permission.

Ajihad was a little surprised by the name of the pride. Since they were already growing, their land would have to spread to encompass more food resources. He was glad that Aslan didn't seem to think their land was too small at the moment though. He smelled the herd of prey. He wondered if Aslan was having similar thoughts, "Let's come back and hunt that herd after we have finished scent marking."

Aslan nodded. "I'm sure the prey around here will be good for you all" he said. He moved to follow Ajihad. Tensing up he gently tackled the younger lion before a large wildebeest bull ran past were Ajihad had just been. "Are you alright" he asked. "Sorry I didn't have time to yell at you to move."

Ajihad had tensed when Aslan had leaped for him. He hadn't had time to react. "Thanks," he gasped crawling to his feet. "Where did that wildebeest come from," he watched it continue to run. "Want to hunt?" he asked even though they hadn't finished marking the border.

Aslan lifted his nose. "There was a stampede early on Damu Pride lands. Perhaps he was still spooked from earlier" he said. "As for hunting, that sounds great. I'm pretty hungry, and I'm sure you want more food for you to eat" he chuckled. "The expecting female, is she your mate" he asked. "I just want to know so I'm not pushing boundaries."
