got this cutie and I like my OCs to have a headshot avatar for the TH pages so another sketchy headshot , he will get a GIF avatar but I want to finish my crochet Godzilla first ^^'

A simple blink should be enough for him right?

3 individual colored frames + 2 blink frames later

i still think it could have been smoother with a few more frames but I wasn't going to torture myself xD

will probably use as a avatar in a week or so it's just too cool for me to not use it at least once xD

while I normally keep things transparent he sorta needs a background to be seen a bit easier , you're screen brightness may need to be turned up to see him better as well ^^'

i don't think I've ever drawn him yet so meet chromic acid { acid for short} ^^

I see him as a canine x reptile hybrid thing, and I love that <3

yup as I was adding his name I hear this voice in my mind, saying he's a captain and should be addressed as such lol

Trust me it's horrible at times xD I've fingered out its linked to my blood levels most of the time, so when I'm getting closer to a really bad crash because it's getting very low I have motivation for art like there's no tomorrow for a week sometimes, but when I'm feeling great cus my levels are stable , can I get anything done? nope lol

So I apologize if these 2 images style looks weird but I've been stewing about a clearly unfair { and possibly discriminatory} event that happened to me and my service dog this morning so it was ether let the anger about it get me some "good" art for my bad boys OCs or just stew about it even more and get nothing out of it....I believe I made a good choice

so only one sketch really got to be a finished project and by then I cooled off a bit ( finally) so I got a cute headshot for my goofy cheer myself up OC xD

I have a question for any fellow artist that ends up taking a look and apparently enjoys this stuff I call "art"

do ears and paws get easier to draw with more practice or is it just my style that's messing with those things? Because I currently have a ok/hate relationship with ears and paws arnt much better xD
I didn't bother with wing anatomy ,just took an ok sketch and put his simplified wings on it.

it could be the tired/sleepy me taking but he looks like he's trying to be scary/angry , but he looks so fluffy xD

To answer your question- I was taught to do art traditionally, with sketch and pastel, and I haven't drawn a lot of my own free range of things but I think so. The more you draw of something, the deeper understanding you get of it, so you're able to make it look better. One suggestion I would have would be to try out different ways to draw one thing! And I relate with your love-hate relationship with paws, especially. >>

Honestly, just keep drawing. Your art has definitely improved from before. Art gallery stalkers like me just love to see improvement and effort in people's art lol. We do enjoy seeing art. :> Keep it up! <3

So the coloring just kept getting added on xD it was flat colored then it became simple shading, then I think I went overboard with highlights, at that point it was "well might as well color the lines too " it was only really going to be a headshot.

You know I originally just wanted to try out doing a different style of ears ( & possibly paws) .... it escalated to "let's try a bunch of different things " x'D

thanks for noticing the improvement, I always feel like I don't notice my own improvement, if I do it seems like it's just too small to be worth anything lol so if others say something about it, i know I'm at least getting better than before xD
